Well, I've read what you said about the accent. I thought there might be some little bits in there I didn't know about, maybe not!
It's not that I had never heard of indonesian, I should have said that I knew nothing about it.
Anda belajar bahasa jepang? Saya juga. Saya tidak berbicara bahasa jepang dengan lancar, tetapi saya baiklah. Jadi, saya bantu anda belajar Bahasa Jepang, dan anda bantu saya belajar bahasa indonesia!
分かりますか。

Deal! 3nodding Maaf, Bahasa Jepang saya sangat buruk! Sekolah saya tidak punya guru Bahasa Jepang, dan oleh karena itu, saya harus mengejar saya. Apakah Anda bisa menulis dalam hiragana di internet? Saya bisa menulis roomaji, dan hiragana juga, hanya di atas kertas. Walaupun... Hajimemashite. Ogenki desu ka? Genki desu. Watashi wa Oosutoraria ni sunde imas to jyuuroku sai desu!

Aaa! Saya perlu kamus!
Mari saya coba...
Deal! My japanese is seriously bad! My school dosen't have a japanese teacher, and because of this, I have to (something) myself. Can you write hiragana on the internet? I can write roumaji, and hiragana too, only on paper.
However...
Is that about it? I needed a dictionary a bit though, my vocabulary isn't very big yet... crying
Bahasa jepang anda baik sekali! It was almost perfect! Just one thing, If you change the "sunde imasu to ...." to something like "sunde ite, ___" it will be perfect.
Hajimemashite. Hai, genki desu. Anata wa? Boku wa amerika ni sunde imasu.Mata, Jyuunana sai desu. Bokura wa eigo mo nihongo mo indonesia go mo tsukatte imasu. Omoshiroi yo ne?

Boku wa amerika ni sunde imasu.Mata, Jyuunana sai desu. Bokura wa eigo mo nihongo mo indonesia go mo tsukatte imasu. Omoshiroi yo ne? Hebat! Anda mengerti hampir semua kata saya! 'Mengejar' berarti 'to teach.' Terima kasih tentang Bahasa Jepang saya! blaugh Walaupun, I don't understand what you mean by changing 'sunde imasu to...' to 'sunde ite...' Do you mean that I should say 'Watashi wa Oosutoraria ni sunde ite, to jyuuroku sai desu?' My grammar in Japanese is horrible- all I understood from teaching myself was that the verb has to go at the end, but what if you're saying multiple things? gonk I'm going to try and figure out you've said (Operative word being 'TRY...') Greetings. Yes, I'm fine. How about you? I live in Amerika. I am 17 years old. (Okay, this is where I'm going to guess) I speak English, Japanese, Indonesian, uh...something imasu. Something, something something....arrgh, I'm sorry! I have no idea what the last part means! gonk I would LOVE to be able to speak Japanese as good as you! Next year I'm studying Japanese and Indonesian as my majors in my bachelor degree, with Italian as my minor, so hopefully, when I finish my degree, I'll be able understand you! Oh! I'm not sure if you want to do this, but you said how you don't have a native speaker to talk to, so I've just asked one of my friends in Indonesia if he knows anyone who would be willing to email you. (PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!!!!!!!!) I thought that who better to help you than a native speaker around your age? I'm not sure if anyone will reply, but there are about 20 people in his class, so someone might be willing. If someone says they will talk to you, if you give me your email address, I will give them it, so you can talk directly to each other. They are pretty much in the same time zone as Australia, so you can expect quick email responses (Cesty and I send each other emails every day). If you don't want to do this, then that's okay-I just thought it might help you better than books! 3nodding P.S- Anda tidak perlu kamus, walaupun mereka membantu. Anda berbicara dengan baik sekali tanpa kamus! blaugh

Selamat pagi!
Jangan kuatir, bahasa jepang anda tidak buruk. Saya tidak perlu kamus? Walaupun, saya hampir mau kamus. Amerika tida punya kamus bahasa indonesia. crying
Oleh karena itu, I'm writing all the words down you say that I don't know so I can learn them.
About the japanese, you are pretty close. Tetapi, anda tidak bisa use "to" for "and" like that. And if you're having trouble saying multiple things, Saya dapat saya membantu anda, walaupun its a bit complex dan panjang sekali, so if you want to hear it, I'll tell you.
Tell me if that half english half indonesian makes any sense at all. I want to do what i can! sweatdrop
I won't kill you! Thats nice of you to try and be so helpfull to a random person over the internet. It would really helpfull, My only worry would be that my Indoesian would not be good enough to communicate well. sweatdrop

It would really helpfull, My only worry would be that my Indoesian would not be good enough to communicate well. sweatdrop M'kasih, tetapi Bahasa Jepang saya buruk. Gue tak mengerti lebih daripada beberapa kalimat yang pendek. redface Saya tak mengerti- Apakah Anda berarti 'Saya hampir mau kamus?' (Hampir berarti 'almost') confused Oleh karena itu is translated to 'because of this.' The literal translation is 'by because that,' which doesn't really make much sense. 3nodding It's one of those phrases that have a meaning that isn't literal. There's a lot of them in Indonesian! blaugh Baiklah, saya mengerti kalimat dalam Bahasa Indonesia/Inggeris! Saya tidak tahu saya tak bisa menulis 'to' untuk dan di kalimat itu. Like I mean, I don't understand the grammar, so when I talk normally in Japanese, I just whack my sentences together in the hopes that they make sense. Probably NOT the best way to do it, but hey... 3nodding Jangan khwatir tentang Bahasa Indonesia kau! Kalau Anda berbicara dengan seorang Indonesia, mereka mungkin berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggeris dan Bahasa Indonesia. Bertanya untuk bantu kalau Anda kurang mengerti. Orang2 Indonesia adalah sangat ramah, dan jangan tertewa kalau Anda menulis sesuatu salah. (If you didn't understand the last sentence, I said 'Indonesian people are very friendly and don't laugh if you write something incorrectly.) Semoga, seteman Cesty akan ingi menulis Anda. Aku percaya menulis kepada orang yang tinggal di Indonesia akan membantu kau lebih daripada saya bisa. (Terima kasih untuk tak membunuh saya! blaugh )

Hey, sorry-just ignore the first sentence above-I meant to say 'I'm very exhausted, but I'll feel better soon, although when, I don't know!' except for some reason I left half of the sentence out. My bad!

Selamat sore! Apa kabar?
Sorry! (Apa “sorry” dalam bahasa Indonesia?) Karena saya kemarin repot, saya tidak menulis. Tetapi saya bisa menulis sekarang. Saya tahu bahasa Indonesia saya buruk, tetapi saya mau coba menulis kalimat yang panjang dalam bahasa Indonesia sekarang! Saya berahap kalimat saya semua baik.
Saya sudah tahu “hampir” berarti “almost”, tetapi saya lupah menulis “membeli”. Saya mau menulis “Saya hampir mau membeli kamus bahasa Indonesia.” Apa itu baiklah?
Anda masih punya penpal Cesty di Indonesia? Saya mau menilis dengan teman anda sekali. Apa anda mau saya bilang e-mail ke anda?
Saya tahu anda bukan orang Indonesia, tetapi saya masih akan menulis dengan anda!
Baigamana bahasa Indonesia saya? Karena punya salah, tolong bilang!

Saya tahu anda bukan orang Indonesia, tetapi saya masih akan menulis dengan anda! Baigamana bahasa Indonesia saya? Karena punya salah, tolong bilang! Halo! (Sorry I keep quoting-it's just that it makes it easier for me to respond to what you've written!) 'Maaf' dalam Bahasa Indonesia berarti 'I'm sorry,' atau 'menyesal,' misalnya: saya menyesal kau berkerja pada hari ini. Maaf, saya tak mengerti kalimat Anda dengan baik. Apakah kamu berarti 'Because I was busy yesterday, I couldn't write?' Kalau Anda ingin berbicara ini, itu lebih baik 'Kemarin, saya repot, walaupun saya tak menulis.' (Sorry, no offence, it's just that when translated, you said 'Because I yesterday busy I didn't write.' I just wanted to make sure that this was what you meant-feel free to hit me anytime.) Jangan khwatir! (Anda berbicara sama dengan saya- biasanya 'putting yourself down!') Bahasa Indonesiamu HEBAT!!!!!!!!! heart Bahasamu lebih baik dibandingkan dengan bahasaku! *Ahem...* Ya, saya masih menulis dengan Cesty di Indonesia. Saya akan memberi email dia di 'inbox.' Dia ramah sekali, walaupun JANGAN KHWATIR TENTANG BAHASAMU!!! gonk Maaf, saya tak tahu kalau Anda tahu kata 'hampir.' ...apa Bahasa Inggeris untuk 'lupah?' Apakah Anda berarti 'lupa/forget?' Kalimat Anda berarti 'I almost wanted to buy an Indonesian dictionary.' Kalimat ini betul! Maaf sekali, tetapi saya kurang mengerti kalimat 'Apa Anda mau saya bilang email ke Anda?' Terima kasih!-Saya ingin saya seorang Indonesia, walaupun saya bisa berbicara dalam Bahasa ini dengan baik sekali. Anda belajar Bahasa Indonesia, dan kau berbicara dengan hebat! (Saya belajar Bahasa Jepang selama satu bulan, dan saya hanya bisa berbicara mungkin beberapa kalimat2! gonk ) Maaf lagi, tetapi apakah Anda berarti 'If their are any mistakes, I'm sorry?' Saya kurang mengerti kalimat ini...SORRY!!!! emo Menulis, ya? Dari temanmu Kiah P.S-Aku menyesal surat ini panjang sekali! Saya berharap engkau menyenangkan bertemu dengan Cesty! blaugh

Maaf tenteng kalimat saya. Since I don't have many actual books or anything about indonesian, I have to guess about the grammar sometimes, and sometimes things leak in from Japanese accidentally. Like in my "Karena saya kemarin repot, saya tidak menulis". I put the yesterday in a wierd place like in Japanese. Where is the right place to put the time in indonesian? Same as english?
Ya, Saya bererti "lupa", bukan "lupah". Maaf.
I tried to say at the end, "If there are any mistakes, please tell me" or somethign like that. I had to guess about some things there, so it didn't turn out quite right.
This too "Apa Anda mau saya bilang email ke Anda?" I tried to say, do you still want me to tell my email to you? I had to do some more grammar-guessing. But, you told me Cesty's email, so it dosen't matter anymore.
Ugg, well, what should I write to him? I don't know. Kind of an awkward situation... sweatdrop

Kind of an awkward situation... sweatdrop Ini baiklah- kalimat Anda bagus! Saya mengerti tentang merasa bingung confused dengan Bahasa2-saya merasa bingung dengan Bahasa Jepang dan Bahasa Indonesia juga! Time isn't too bad with word placement- when you are about to say a time, put 'pada' in front, (pada jam 3: 'at' three o'clock.) You can pretty much put in in the same order as English sentences, like 'I went to the cinema at 4pm' adalah 'Saya ke bioskop pada jam empat sore.' Jangan khwatir tentang mengeja kata2 salah- saya masih mengeja kata yang pendek sekali salah! Saya percaya Anda ingin menulis 'lupa' tetapi saya ingin bertanya mu sebelum saya menjawab. (Okay, I think that's the correct prefix-Saya tak punya kamus2ku dengan gue.) Tentang Cesty...just introduce yourself, and say that you're the friend in America that Kiah told you about. Tell him where you live (maybe talk a bit about America too) how old you are, your family, what you like to do, etc. When you introduce yourself, ask Cesty about himself. Don't feel awkward (I hate the word 'awkward.' It looks awkward itself...sorry, random thought... 3nodding ) and if you're unsure of how to say something in Indonesian, write it in English, and then ask him how to say it in Indonesian in brackets. His English is very good, and if there are any mistakes, they are usually so small that they don't confuse the meaning. At the end of the letter, maybe write 'Menulis, ya?' (Will you write back to me please?) and 'dari, ____ (sorry, I don't know your real name!) Anda akan menyenangkan bertemu Cesty- semoga sukses!
