Figuring he was already found out and he had little to hide for, Newt lept from the bush to crouch on the path, "Ah... n-no... er... I used to.... wuh-work up at the luh-labratories. I d-don't think you'll... ah... have much success contacting anyone outside of the luh-labs."

"Wait, what do you mean by 'used to'?" Seth frowned. "Why did they fire you?" He kept a safe distance as he watched the frog-man walk out of his hiding place, and finally got a good look at him completely. He didn't seem to be threatening at all, but he still was quite alarming to look at...
"If they fired you because of how you look, you should file an 'unfair dismissal claim' or something." Seth muttered. It was a crazy suggestion, but the entire situation just seemed unreal to him right now. "They shouldn't fire you based on your looks. That's discrimination."

"Er... n-no... th-they... they ah... m-made me luh-look like this... I m-mean... er... " He shifted to look up at the man, his throat sacks trembling as he tried to hold in his nervious instinct to croak. "Th-this is ah... a scuh-science facility.... I'm... ah... s-sorry, but th-there's n-no hotel."

"Ah, I know about the science facility," Seth nodded, clearly remembering the impressive and expensive building he had entered when he first arrived. "I went in there and delivered some.. er, things." He gave a soft chuckle, not wanting to talk about the details of that, as it was less than legal.
"I delivered some items to an creatively dressed white-haired doctor, who told me to wait around for a day or so until he got back to me with the results from the tests he did on the stuff I brought over."
"Are you OK?" He wondered, finally daring to inch closer to Newt. "Take a breath and calm down there - you look really worried."

The frog-man flinched, crouching lower against the path, his long webbed toes wriggling anxiously, "Y-you wuh-won't leave here..." He had decided that this was indeed the worst part. He hated this, but what else coudl he do? He couldn't just hop away. "Y-you're a sub-sub-subject now t-too... I... I buh-believe I'm only half d-done so far. At luh-least I buh-believe th-that's how I re-re-remember it going."

"I'm a subject? What? The lab guys are experimenting on you and made you look like that?" Seth raised an eyebrow. He certainly didn't recall any of this being told to him. "No no, that's not happening to me... you misunderstand. I'm just here to deliver a package, like a mailman, or a courier. Nothing more. Drop it off, collect money, bye bye."

"Puh-people have b-been lured here... on... m-more... ah... com-com-complex... lies... ah..." He seemed distracted bya dragon fly that had taken an interest in the human's hair and zipped down closer towards the frog-man. When it was within reach, he stiffened, head bobbing befor his tongue flew out to snatch the large insect and in the blink of an eye it's wings were poking out of the ex-janitor's mouth. Damn it! He always had the worst timing with his snacks! But he hadn't seen a decent dragonfly in days. At least it would clarify that it really wasn't a costume.

Seth stared in disbelief at Newt as he diligently caught the dragonfly with his tongue. It disturbed him to watch.
"Well, he isn't kidding about being turned into a frog... damn."
"Look, I best be on my way." Seth began awkwardly, wanting to get away from him. "It sucks what they're doing to you, anybody would hate it. It's inhumane, and immoral... when I get back to the mainland, I'll go report this to the authorities or something." He shook his head, stern. "It's just not right."
"If this place is really turning you into a frog, it should be shut down - bloody oath it should! They shouldn't be doing this to people - it's no way to treat an employee once they've been fired." He sighed, feeling sorry for the guy. "I'm going to get paid a lot of money when I leave. I'll use some of it to convince the police, the FBI, ASIO - whoever. I'll make the authorities come out here. They'll be able to stop it and shut the whole thing down. Maybe they'll find a cure for your, um... condition. Or something."
"I'll tell somebody about you when I get back to the mainland, I promise." He sighed, heading to turn away. "Look after yourself, mate."
