He listened with interest, but didn't ask anymore question. the whole idea of finding a place like that was rather disturbing to him. From what he gathered nothing good could come from it. unless he was missing something but he kept his silence, watching the other males smiling at one another. Yup Amadeus was missing something alright. he wondered what the consequences for going there would be.
he didn't notice Loki till Chael got up. it was considerably colder with out the body heat there. but he would stand it. seeing Loki, and looking as ragged as he did, Amadeus lied his ears back against his skull, not exactly happy to see Loki again, but not really sure how to react. he just lingered in the background letting the two larger ones greet Loki

For a moment Loki didnt react, he just continued his stare out into the rain. Then his head slowly turned at the brushing of his fur. Seeing moving life again and not whatever demons had kept him company in the many days of him having been missing, brought him back ever so slightly. "I have a shrine now..." His voice was soft, but he seemed satisfied. It had taken on the tone of an adult now, and he was visiably the proper age as he should be. His younger appearance must have been the lighting. He just realised the dust on his fur, but made no move to do anything about it. He recgonized all the faces he saw. Chael, Thayne, Amadeus... He wondered ever so vaguely what became of them. Considering their happy demeanor they hadn't found their way to the sublevels. His mind returned to the day he found them himself. In fact, he was suprised he came up in the temples at all.
The night he disapeared into the desert to sleep beneath the stars, he awoke the next morning to find a light sand storm revealed an entrance to a temple, one he took gladly thinking it would be interesting to explor like any young child. He went in through the pass and was soon consumed by darkness. ...
His paw shifted slightly, revealing a small tufted of hair that was the wrong color to belong to Loki, that was moving gently as though breathing. The tuft of hair was a bright orange red, tipped in an equally bright blue.
A female watched from across the room, not entering the conversation, but rather tending to a batch of floors quietly, spreading her wings occassionally to stretch them. She hummed a little tune from her spot, occassionly glancing out at the rain.
From far down the hall a small ball of multicolored fluff poked out of a side passage. His eyes were a bright orange red and he seemed eager. Though for the time being the guaky baby kept to itself in the doorway. he'd never seen so many Malu all in one place! He attempted counting them and lost count after 2. This didn't seem to bother him however, as he continued to watch. None of them appeared to be a multicolored as himself though, but he didn't take much notice of the fact.

Chael sighed softly, seeing the rather crestfallen Malu at his hooves. It was strange how one so full of life could grow up to become so downcast, so drained. It only left this arctic hued malu what on earth could have happened to him. Lifting his muzzle up from Loki's fur, his eyes trailed over to Thayne and Amadeus for a moment before returning to Loki.
His eyes caught glance of the small colourful tuff of fur under his paws, his eyes narrowing to try and figure out just what it was...yet to no avail. Loki was still as dust ridden as ever, despite Chael's attempt to clean him a bit.
"I'll be back..."
He spoke, thinking back to the rag of fabric he saw back along the hallways here which probably would do the trick. Turning rapidly he bounded into the darkness of the room....only to collide after a few bounds with something warm.
"Gwah!" He yipped, accidentally falling ontop of whatever he hit. Blinking as his eyes adjusted to the darker atmosphere near the backs of the room, he gazed down to see another malu...yet it was different. More slender, more...feminin!?
"Ack!!! I'm s-sorry!" He scrambled off, almost tripping again as he backed away rather quickly from the brown hued femme. Immediately his chest and head dropped to the ground in a bow of appology as his wings twitched in nervousness. The last time he met a female malu, asides from the short run in with Mousesong....he had been terrified.

Thayne was silent as Chael attempted to clean off Loki and watched unmoving as he bounded off into the murky temple depths. All of his enthusiasm had dissipated with the sobering ghost like Malu before him.
What could have be fallen Loki that he looks as such? Is there something we really don't know about the temple? Nothing I have come across thus far in my trips have afflicted me as greatly as it has poor Loki....
Actually the only occurrence of an incident occured only five yards from this very spot were Thayne had slipped in some moss growing in a wet spot!
Perhaps his god is to blame for his state? No I cannot believe a god would be so cruel to put a follower in such a condition
Thayne heard Chael up the corridor cry out and snapped him out of his brooding. He jumped up but did not move from his spot.

Amadeus still remains silent. Still damp and still very cold, he sat down and pulled his legs close into his chest.
He remembered very well what Thayne had said about Loki not having any friends. That had made Amadeus develop some sympathy for Loki, but Amadeus could not just forget what Loki had done, and not even feeling remorse for it. Loki and Amadeus where just to different… Amadeus didn’t know how he would ever be able to understand, or tolerated why Loki did what he did.
After a moment of staring at Loki, looking over his new condition, and slightly envious of Loki’s grown size. Amadeus glanced down, seeing a strange tuft of colorful hair. He blinked raising an eyebrow at it. But before he could put much thought on what it could be. Chael’s yell caused him to jerk his head around eyes wide. What happened?

She backed away from him and looked up, and glanced at her plants to make sure they were alright. She saw nothing wrong with her precious plants and looked back at him and smiled warmly. "Oh it's alright! Are you okay?" She looked him over. She had to admit, she'd never really spoken with any male malu. Or any Malu in general. She'd seen them from a distance, but not enough to make out much about them. This one seemed nice. And she loved the color of his fur and the pattern! "Where are you hurrying off to in such miserable weather?" She ruffled her wings a little, in distaste with the heavy rain. She always loved rain, but not to the point where it would hurt her. This was possibly the worst storm she had ever experianced in her life.
Loki seemed to slowly nod off to sleep in correspondence with the rain. He seemed happy to have it, but just before he could fall asleep a loud whining noise was hear and he jumped up with a start and the small tuft of fur became a small baby malu. Flames were painted up her legs and wings, on her tuft of hair and ears and tail. Starting from black into vibrant orange, into a bright blue. Her eyes were large and blue, but some how fierce for a small child. She crawled out from under Loki and rubbed the bottom of his chin with the top of her head. He said something softly to this child and she curled up next to his chest and went into a nap. He let out an almost relieved sigh and looked like he was going to fall asleep himself.

Chael blinked, watching as the female quickly took a glance down to the floor to reveal a few plants. It seemed they were fine, even from the stumble....which made Chael very glad. Slowly lifting his head and body to an upright position, his eyes glanced her over as he noticed the odd spots on her pelt. He quite liked it...having not seen such a pattern before.
"I...i'm fine. I have a hard head..."
He admitted shyly, his ears dropping lightly to point at a downwards angle. Shifting his wings lightly on his back, his gaze was stolen as she too ruffled her wings....ones much bigger than his own.
"I was going to get a cloth I had seen back down the hall for that Malu over there....yet I wasn't watching where I was going. I'm terribly sorry...I really am."
He appologized once again, heaven knows how big of breakdown he would have had if she had been hurt by his klutz like behaviour around females. Even from the back of the room, the rain was loud against his ears...it didn't seem it was to light up anytime soon.
"I know what you mean. I'm used to snow and whatnot...but this is rediculous. Hopefully no one's caught out there."
Chael's eyes softened lightly as he turned his head to look out into the stormy world, remembering the snow of his homeland vividly. When it snowed....it was magical even when falling hard; unlike the rain here today. Turning his attention back to the female, he took a few steps foreward and examined the plants at her feet.
"I'm glad I didn't crush them....Oh.. I'm sorry! My name is Chael, by the way."

If Thayne hadn't already leaped up he would have again, seeing the brightly colored tiny Malu, now sleeping next to Loki. This was not something Thayne expected to see with Loki, especially such a brightly colored fierce looking baby!
Thayne started to ask Loki the name of the little baby, but bit it off seeing how tired the Malu looked. Instead he sat back down to wait for Chael. He started to dose thinking of all the wonders they were going to discover in the depths.

Well this was rather Awkward, Amadeus continued to just linger in the background. Chael was fine, and talking to another malu, this one female, Thayne looked like he was day dreaming again, and Loki looked as if he was about to fall asleep, the little one next to him dozing off as well. “Is that your child?” Amadeus asked finally when it seemed clear no one was going to do anything. Still extremely uncomfortable with the wind blowing on his cold and still tingling back. He got up and walked over to a dryer corner, sitting up strait looking over at Loki.

She smiled at his comment, most malu had hard heads. She always liked the male malu that were shy at first. She never liked the pompous stuck up malu that thought they could get a girl with just a glance.
She glanced around him, tilting her head in the process to look. Sure enough at the end of the hall was a young male malu who looked half asleep, or half dead. She honestly had no idea which was which. "...I see, poor dear, he looks terrible." Something pricked her ears attention. Just a small sixth sense sort of thing. She didn't know why, or understand why, but she said what her sense was implying to her. "Having a child must put alot of stress on him..."
"Oh, yes I am too. But it's alright. Even if you did, I wouldn't be too upset. I could fix them up with a little pruning." She smiled again calmly. "Chael.. I like that name, very... very modest yet graceful. I think it fits you very well. ...I'm Kiua bytheway."
Loki's head jerked up from it's half slumped position and looked for the cause of the noise and the one who said his name. His eyes located Amadeus who he remembered very clearly. If it wasn't for that malu's persistant yelling at him, he would have never found the hidden entrance to the sub levels of the temple, meaning he'd never have found Achlys. He remembered Amadeus' question putting it together in his head. He seemed quite puzzled by it and unsure how to explain. Was she his child? If so, there was no mother involved. "...Sort of? ...I don't really know." The little baby scooched closer to Loki and yawned in her sleep.

"I know....I really don't know what happened to him. I used to know him as a child...well...met him twice as a child. He certianly wasn't this way. I dunno what could happen to make him so...lifeless."
Chael spoke gently, turning his own head back to glance at the ebony and azure male back with the others. A small smile krept on his lips, watching Thayne drift off in thought while Amadeus looked quite uncomfortable. Probably cold again, no doubt. Even he was slightly chilled all the way back here...stupid weather.
"Oh yes...A child must be stress-WHAT!?"
Snapping his head around, he gazed at her with a sense of shock, sneaking one last glance back at Loki. Was that small neon tuff of fur....a child? How did he get that! Did he really have a girl so soon? Just....how?? Slowly slipping out of his disbelief as she kept talking, his optics widened for a small second before gently running his forehoof along the ground.
"Heh...Graceful would be the last word in my mind to describe me...yet thank you. Kiua....I say you suit your name just as well. Quite beautiful....calming."
He confessed, simply saying the first things that came to his mind when he spoke of her name. Feeling a little frazzled inside as if he had swallowed butterflies, he did the first thing he could think of...divide the attention. Spotting a small pebble, he leant down and picked it up with his teeth as he casted a glance to Thayne. Lifting his left wing up, he tossed the pebble back towards his back before slapping the rock with his wing - managing to hit and bounce off Thayne's hip. Chuckling softly, Chael quickly tugged on Kiua's wing gently as he motioned her to come with him to get the cloth down the hall. Letting go of her wing he trotted into the darkness of the temple as he knew then Thayne wouldn't be able to see him...although he might guess who had done it.

Thayne, lost again in thought as he always is, was spooked when something hit him on his hip.
"Wha..What?"
Looking around he saw the pebble near where he had been sitting. He sat down again but with a goofy grin and shook his head. He looked at Amadeus and laughed,
"You know I don't think we Malu ever really grow up!"
He knew Amadeus would be terribly confused by that statement but he didn't feel like explaining. He looked back down at Amadeus and notice the little one shaking slightly. Thayne padded over to the corner and laid down so as to block the draft that was hitting the corner since he had no other means, like a wing, to keep the little one warm on this cold deary day.
Thayne's grey eyes scanned the dark hall just for the sake of noticing little details, a carved flower over one door or trying to figure out how one part of the wall was crumbling, as he waited for Chael to return. Musing Perhaps I shouldn't have went to get the cloth...drat I didn't know where it was though..amused with himself he chuckled and fell once more into a daydream.

Amadeus looked up at Thayne raising his brow curiously at his comment. He wondered at first if Thayne was talking about him… since Amadeus was still the littlest one there, he felt older… his body just refused to keep up. It was frustrating at time.
He continued to watch as Thayne moved over closer to him, blocking the cold wind coming in. Amadeus blinked a couple of times, then slid down, head still held high looking around the room, trying to distract from the fact that he was staring at Loki and his new… “Kind of” child. Amadeus crossed one paw over the other like Chael had done, the shriving starting to let down a little thanks to Thayne.
(wow XD this is not awkward)

Loki allowed himself to curl up, and he felt a small gust of air rush over he front paws. He changed his position a little, blocking the wind from hitting the small baby. He doubted she cold, as even when he was freezing she was always at a constant and very warm temperature. He soon found himself dosing off thinking again of his plans. He figured he'd stay on the top levels for a little while, let Alula get fresh air in her lungs and see what the world is like beyond the dark depths of the temple.
Kiua nodded. "Well, neither of you are children anymore, and therefore time passed and you haven't seen him during that time, which means he must have been somewhere...And oh I'm ranting on I'm terribly sorry! What I mean basically, is wherever he was something happened that forced him to change. Or he's tired."
She looked in the direction of Chael's gaze back at the others. She nodded at his apparent shock. "I don't think it's directly his child, but he is most certainly taking care of a child like it's his own. Thus he is tired. Babies need lots of attention."
She shook her head. "Nonsense. I can sense grace when it's there. And thank you, I'm glad my name and I coincide."
She remained calm, but she definately felt butterflies. Her mother once described this emotion to her as a small child. But she hardly remembered what it was now. She watched in awe and amusement at his playful action and how well it had been performed. "That was... I can't think of the word for it. Just lovely. Simple, yet performed well enough without hurting anyone. And you said you had no grace." She gave a soft, and not unkind snicker. She let him tug on her wing and followed after with him to get the clothe.

"Relax, Kiua....You're not ranting. Besides, I like listening to you speak....character is shown more in words than in actions."
He smiled brightly, releasing her wing as he walked down the hallway. Azure optics scanned the ground for that cloth he had seen, yet it seemed to be a little further back than he had originally remembered. Chuckling, he rolled his eyes playfully and gazed to Kiua.
"Grace? Thats just tricks. I spent most of my childhood hiding out in the depths of the Temple...I had to ammuse myself somehow. Like so..."
Taking another pebble from the ground he tossed it into the air, catching and balancing it on his nose. Grinning, he tossed it in the air again and once again snatched it with his nose. Letting it drop on the ground he looked back down the hall, seeing the small peice of cloth. Trotting over he grasped it with his teeth and turned back to Kiua.
"Got it!"
He smiled, giving a small nugde to her shoulder as tey began to head back.
