I think Jun is some sort of dark ethnicity, but i dont know if i'd say black. But kyouske does seem like a mixed black.

I'd say no.
Southern Japanese or just tan. and kyosuke has dreds while Junko either has a perm or just curly hair. contrary to popular belief one of my asian friends has naturally curly curlllyyyy hair.

Maby there mixed, part asian part black! I'm mixed part white part Alaska native that makes my skin darker.

Well, if there were mixed with black, that would make things interesting. I wouldn't mind... it's not like you see a lot of blacks in mangas anyway... but then again, there aren't many blacks in Japan!

Kyosuke has dreads and Junko gets a perm after high school..
she probably switches to dreads later too.
They're art students and it's just their style really.
they're Japanese though.

Junko got a perm in the first chapter. her hair isn't naturally curly like that.

look the live action junko and his bf are completely japanesse
sorry... It would have been great... but no they arent.... japanesse's mistakes are to draw such huge eyes in people like them who precisely lack of that characteristic... what a trauma don't u think so?

I did ask myself this too... but there are Japanese people with darker color skin as well.
Junko and Kyousuke don't have too dark of skin for their ethnicity.
... Their hair is a different story O_O; and eating them =]

I highly, highly, highly doubt they are black. Jun has a perm and the guy has dreadlocks, which anyone can have.

I actually wondered this same thing. They do look Black. But, no! If you look at the pictures of them when the manga is in color, they are not Black.
