Koin nodded. It happened, he guessed, though he did wonder why the cub could not remember anything at all, or even being with his parents.
Idly, with watched the female’s actions. "My name would be Koin..." He then took in the female's suggestion. He couldn’t wander too far out. He had to stay in the general area and find his was back
With the sweeping wind, It would be hard to follow his tracks back, since it would spread the sent around. Though he didn’t answer.
“We could do that…” Koin said. “But! we could also be traveling farther away if we moved.” Koin suggested.

"But what if we don't find them?"
Chui looked, merely teary-eyed at the two adults now. He didn't know exactly what he'd do, but he figured it wouldn't be good to wander around at night. He was young, but he wasn't all that ignorant.
"Nevermind...it's okay.." he said.
Then he thought again. He might still be close to his parents right now, so if he started looking now, he could find them. But then, what if they wanted to leave him? What if they didn't want him? He couldn't seem to decide, and he started shaking and lowering his head, placing his paws on his head in confusion and frustration.

She didn't openly acknowledge the older male's name when he provided it, but she did in fact hear his statement, evident by her ears' light twitch at the sound of his voice. However, she did notice his later comment, and tilted her head slightly. If she didn't know any better, she could have sworn that he didn't want to help the little one.
Nodding her head at his half-hearted agreement, she focused her attention fully on the baby, the older male having said his piece. Though, he did have a point: What if they did leave and as a result, miss the cub's family, should they come looking for him?
Frowning, she watched the cub's display, though she could understand where he was coming from. If she had to guess, she'd assume that he was torn between not wanting to look and desperately wanting to look.
"I'm sure that they're out looking for you right now, Chui," she replied in a soft voice, an attempt to put him a little more at ease. "We can go and look for them if you want, or you can stay with me.. us and wait until morning, if you'd rather," she added, tail flicking idly.
((I live!))

Koin eyed the female. An aura about her made him feel ignored. And he was. He shook his head and looked back down to the cub.
"It's your decision young one..." he said. "I'll offer you a stay with me if you need it..." he said, sitting down again.

Chui looked at them both again, wondering what he could do that would suit his needs the best. The female sounded fairly reassuring, and she was offering her help when morning came. The male however...made it sound like the young leopard was a bit of a distraction. He frowned at this and thought for a moment, the last of his tears having dried up only moments earlier.
"Maybe...I could stay with both of you tonight.." he paused and looked at Koin. "If it's alright with you.." he added quickly afterward.

Now, she certainly wasn't dense, and after a couple moments, she realized that she was probably coming off as a bit rude to the older male, when that wasn't her intention at all. She was merely more concerned with the little one than with his feelings being possibly hurt. Shaking her head, she glanced over at Koin and offered a small smile in hopes of making up for previously ignoring him.
She couldn't help but smile when he offered his help, just as she'd been doing, and she'd even half expected the cub to be a bit hesitant. Afterall, he didn't really know either of them. And it was probably pretty frightening for him to be without his mother and father, especially when there were two strangers about.
"If that's what you want, little one, then it's fine with us," she replied finally, her tail wagging lightly.

Koin nodded at the female. It was no hard feelings. He wasn't one to have a grudge, or one to get upset unless someone was physically or emotionally attacking another. And that wasn't the case here, so he didn't mind.
"I agree," he said, with a full agreement to the Hyena female. "It's completly fine." Koin was open minded. He'd much rather be helping someone find their parents, or parent figures then sleeping. "I'll keep watdch if you two want to sleep."

The brown leopard looked at the adults again, noting their expressions. Koin seemed fine with it, as did Sauda. He took some time to think on this again, wondering if it were truly safe, despite both adults' display of kindness. Doubt was growing in the pit of his stomach, and he couldn't quite place his paw on why it was there.
They seem a little too nice... came a voice in his head. Chui's eyes swept toward his left, wondering where it came from.
They'll betray you.. it said, They'll betray you in your sleep!!
Chui clenched his eyes shut and started whimpering, thinking about what it was saying to him, but at the same time afraid of what it was, and why it was there. A voice..
No one is to be trusted Chui.., and when the voice had seemingly faded away, he looked back up at the two adults, wondering if either of them would really betray him whilst he was sleeping.

Tilting her head slightly, she glanced over at the male; she certainly hadn't been expecting him to agree so quickly. Especially after she'd been ignoring him the way she had! But, she wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth, or however that went..
Instead of acting too startled by this new development, she simply nodded and returned to quietly watching the cub. After watching the cub's chosen reaction to their offers of help, she glanced back to the older male and nodded her head once, "Well, while your offer is tempting, I have to admit that I'm rather wide awake for the moment. But perhaps we could both stay awake while the little one sleeps?" she countered.
"Unless you'd like to catch a few hours sleep before we leave?" she added, almost as a challenge, her eyes twinkling lightly.

"In actuality, I'm not tired a bit. Thats why I was walking..." Koin said, with a smile, in a half challenge. That's when he noticed the Cub acting a little weird, darting his head around and shaking. He thought he heard some sort of a whimper.
"Is something wrong, little one?" Koin asked the Cub, taking a light slide closer to the smaller creature.

Chui shivered when Koin spoke to him, and the voice returned.
And him...he'll bite your head clean off!!! it hissed, and then disappeared again, leaving the young leopard frozen where he stood. He wanted to trust these two, but despite himself he couldn't seem to anymore.
She'll eat your dying carcass..
He felt a chill run up and down his spine as he started to back away, beginning to see images of a horrific death being played through his mind.
A bloody tail...eyes empty of vibrance and life...death thickening the air around a motionless body. His body Chui snapped back into reality and looked at the two again.
"No....." he whispered, backing away slowly but surely. "NO!!!"
And he turned and ran, tears streaming from his eyes, blurring his sight, although he could see the picture in his mind quite clearly.
Something rolling...with pale salmon pink eyes...
(( Poor leopard's gone wonkers. XD;; ))

Nodding, she alternated her gaze between the two males as she watched their conversation, subdued as it was. She noted his reply, and had to force herself not to chuckle at his challenging her.
As she gazed over at the cub, she noticed he was shivering, apparently in response to the sound of Koin's voice. He wasn't frightening to her, but she assumed the little one was just easily scared. She knew some were like that..
Tilting her head slightly, she watched as Chui began backing away slowly, and was more than a little surprised when he went so far as to turn tail and bolt away from them as quickly as he could. It was almost as if he had gotten it into his head that the two adults were out to harm him in some way.
Shaking her head, she could only stare at his retreating rump, her ears lowering slightly before she slowly turned her head to gaze over at Koin. Surely he must be has confused about what had just happened as she was..?
((Sorry it took so long!))

((Happy belate Gaiaversery, Dae =o))
Koin tilted his head. The cub seemed scared. Koin watched as the cub dashed. "Its not safe..." Koin stated. "Shouldn't we go after him?"
Koin didn't really wait for an answer as he got up. He sniffed the air a bit and started walking in the direction the cub ran to.
((Its alright, Dae.
Sorry my reply was so short))
