A long beating ensued...

towards the middle of the beating Hajimate burst into tears, the dark knight has finally revealed his true emotions after 600 years of severe beatings to his best friend and rival.

"Must I kill you before you will fight back?!?!" He cried.

Lonewolf did not answer and just kept taking hits. Blow after blow. Spell after spell. Hajimate's frustration grew worse and this time...he may have gone overboard. Hajimate transforms into his demon form and wails on Lonewolf's limp body. After awhile, Hajimate finally gives up.

"I guess you really are dead...goodbye Lonewolf." Hajimate coldly turns and walks off. A tear rolls down one of his cheeks as he vanishes.

A few minutes later

Lonewolf's body was destroyed. He was bleeding all over and several bones were broken. Hajimate had overdone it this time. Lonewolf was near death! Violet scurried out from the little mouse hole she was hiding in and ran to her master.

"Master! Master!" She cried as she tried to wake her master up.

Lonewolf's eyes slowly opened. He moved his hand slowly so that he was touching Violet. He managed to cough up the single word: "...Away..." They both vanished.

Lonewolf appeared in Hajimate's training room. Only to find Hajimate training. Haj didn't bother turning around as he continued punching the large sand bag in front of him.

"What the hell're you doing here?" He asked coldly without even looking at Lonewolf.



"If you must know....I'm here to give you what you want." Answered Lonewolf. His voice sounded amused and somewhat giddy.

Hajimate turned around, a surprise look on his face. "What...I want? What? You've come to battle me?" A smirk crossed Hajimate's lips.

"Better." Lonewolf smiled widely, "I've come to kill you." He stated simply.

Hajimate cracked his neck. He returned Lonewolf's smile, "HAHAHAHA!!! THAT'S the spirit!!" He extended his hand to the side and muttered a small incantation. A sword handle appeared in his right hand. He then walked over to a nearby anvil and placed the handle on it upside down, then pulled it out. A very large broadsword that was made of metal appeared on the handle. He smiled menacingly at Lonewolf as he got into his fighting stance.



"COME ON!!!!"

Lonewolf returned Hajimate's menacing smile as he mimicked his last spell. A very sharp rapier appeared in Lonewolf's left hand. He got into his fighting stance.

"Ladies first."

Hajimate lept at Lonewolf and went for a downward diagonal slash towards his mid-section. Lonewolf blocked this attack with his rapier. "Surely, you could do better then that!!!" He pushed Hajimate away from him, then fired a dark purple blast at him.

"ARKANIS POK!!!"



Hajimate absorded the small energy blast, then returned it as his own energy blast.

"Shield of Immunity!!!" Lonewolf crossed his arms before him and a green barrier formed before his body, blocking the blast. He was smiling to himself.

"Malsvir Svent!!!"



Hajimate summons a ball of dark energy before him. Suddenly the energy ball begins to fire energy arrows straight at Lonewolf.

Lonewolf takes down his barrier spell and extends his right two fingers upwards, then off to the side. "Sword of the Fallen Devil!!" A blue energy blade extends from his two right fingers. He then hunches over and begins running straight at Hajimate. Ducking and dodging the arrows and occasionally slashing some aside with rapier or energy blade. He was smiling the whole way. Eventually he catches up to Haj and slices upwards with his rapier, slicing through Hajimate's forehead and leaving a scar.

Hajimate staggered backward as his spell dissipated. He held onto his forehead as he stepped away from Lonewolf. He looked down at his hand.....blood.

"What the hell?!?! HEY!! What the hell is your problem, Lone!! You could've taken my head off with that attack!!"

Lonewolf remained silent. Still smiling arrogantly as his only eye glared at Hajimate.

"Huh..? Something....something is different about you..."



"s**t...this isn't good."

Without any warning, Lonewolf held out his right palm. "Was nice knowin you...demon. Now go back to hell. DARK TORMENT!!!!" A black cork-screw beam shot out from Lonewolf's palm and aimed at Hajimate's heart.

"(gasp!)...I..Isk Litrix!!"

Hajimate casted a barrier spell to try to block Lonewolf's merciless attack. He pushed hard against the attack, pushed with every fiber in his being to keep the attack from penetrating the barrier.

On the other side, Lonewolf remained unhinged. Still smiling, he dropped his rapier from his left hand and held out his left palm as well. "This....is where you DIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!!!" Another black cork-screw beam fired from his left palm, impacting hard against Hajimate's barrier spell.



"LLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOONNNEWOOOOOOOOLFFFF!!!!!!" Enraged, Hajimate screamed out his rival's name as Lonewolf's attack penetrated the barrier and then penetrated through Hajimate's body itself. Gaping two large holes into him. One through his right shoulder and the other through the mid-section of his torso. He fell to the floor instantly with an audible, "thud".

"Hmph..." Lonewolf picked up his rapier and placed it in its sheath on his back. He knelt down next to Hajimate's corpse. Then grabbed him by the collar and picked him up. After studying his face for a few moments, Lonewolf then unhinged Hajimate's cape from his neck. He let the body slump down onto the floor as he held his cape. "I've always liked this cape." He mused as he put it on. "As it was." Lonewolf held his palm over the two gaping holes in the cape. They went into rewind and mended themselves instantly. He began walking up the stairs, but stopped midway. He glanced at Hajimate. The once great dragoon who fought alongside him since day one. His rival. His friend......the demon.....Lonewolf, grit his teeth at that last thought. Silently, he vowed to himself to never befriend a demon ever again. Any demon that crosses his path again, shall be destroyed mercilessly. They will all suffer for what they had done to him and his family and friends in the past. No more. He will tolerate them no more.

With that final thought, he continued up the stairs. He will continue his hunt.

Leon looked around the old building before running towards the gate and encountering a wolf. "Woah there..easy boy, just going to help some friends of mine." said he calmly as he could. The smell of blood was in the air and it worried him immensely. As the wolf laid back down, Leon continued to run, navigating through the building by the scent of blood.

Finally reaching the strongest point of blood, Leon went in to find Violet desperately trying to revive Haji. Rushing over, the dragoon checked Haji's pulse and began his own work alongside Violet. Putting one hand at each hole, Leon began to speak an encantation that he learned on his travels. It wasn't used for this kind of situation, but it was better than nothing.

Just as he finished it, a bright glow surrounded Haji like an etheral shield. "There..that should..keep him stagant...for a bit." Leon huffed. He took several deep breaths before turning to Violet, "What happened? Did Lonewolf do this?"

Inferno landed just outside the town and retracted his wings and put his jacket back on.
"These pathetic humans. They have such weak senses. Not even aware of what is around them."
The demon in human form walked directly to the source of the scent of demon blood. Inferno entered the tower and saw Lionheart from behind.
"Hey. You. Turn around"
Inferno watched the man infront of him with one eye and analyzed the death scene with the other.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?"

The man's left eye glew red for a second.
"Listen you pathetic arrogent-"
Inferno sniffed the man more closely, not noticing it at first due to all the blood.
"Dear lord, you let yourself go." stare
Inferno looked around settled down of a chair.
"What are you doing here..... alive?"

Inferno was slightly confused by Violet's hologram playback.
"Oh please, you got weaker over the years. Given these hundreds of years, you think you would have gotten stronger, or at least learn a few new techniques."
Inferno looked over to the little persicom , wolf, and dead Haji.
"What are you guys doing here? You were in the woods last night. And you, wolf..... Locke? You trying to kill yourself faster spreading that poison? And Haji... man...... that's grusome. I'm guessing from that playback of Lonewolf, he was gone off the deep end. Haji is strong as hell, so I'm assuming that this Lonewolf's work. Guess that explains why everyone is here."
Inferno straightened his jacket's collar.
"Suggest that we all watch our backs. Lonewolf is an old shadow of his former glory but he is still as strong as hell and could kill us all if he chose to. Lion, you should take the little one and the wolf with you. May the heavens have mercy on us all."
Inferno got up and prepared to leave.

Violet was thankful for the chill pill, but it wasn't going to fix Haji. She figured the only one who could was the very one who ripped his insides apart. She had to help her Master. Maybe he had poison on him, that was her only explanation.
She nodded to the two men, uncertain if they even noticed her and dashed from the training grounds. Locke was waiting by the fence and his tail wagged a little at seeing her.
She patted his nose and climbed onto his neck, hugging at his fur and wishing for human tears, maybe those would help.
They sat there and Locke did not move. Had he lost Lonewolf's scent? She tugged at the wolf's fur but he didn't budge.
