"I only have a brother, well there is Kale too. He is..." He seemed to grow quiet a moment, "I'm not exactly sure what he is to me but I think that my Father likes his mother. Its the way that the two act around one another that makes me think so even though they didn't seem to notice." Adults were odd like that though, they were really smart and strong but they didn't seem to notice some stuff.
The owl boy's wings gave a flap as the books were handed over to him to keep his balance before he gave a smile, "These took like a good place to start." He said, "Thank you."

The bat girl nodded, scanning the titles for anything else that might be of interest. "I don't think my Da' really likes anyone much, except his pack. I mean, he's nice and all, but he acts different around people." She chattered absently, her fingers brushing lightly across the spines of the books.
"And he hates Anoki's mom." A sigh there, as she turned back to face Ligeia. "Called her mean names and everything. But she really isn't very nice."
But that was enough gossip. Scanning the store thoughtfully, she nodded slightly to herself. "Well, I still need to get lace, and you said you need thread. Why don't we split up and meet up outside so that Vorel and Vimber can meet?" There was a touch of excitement in her voice at the idea. Vimber really did need more dragon friends.

"Anoki's Mom... Oh! Miss Raven." He murmured, flapping his wings, "She's a bit scary and I'm not sure on how much exactly my father likes her." Really he thought that his father was intimidated by her, she was one of those 'Smart People' where Orpheus' job was more on the side of physical. So was his old job though he'd never explained what that was to Ligeia and Ter.
Ligeia's dark eyes lit up, "Oh! Yes, that sounds like a good plan." He said, hurrying off to find the thread that he would need so that they could get going and let their dragons meet!
A few moments later the owl child had the books suggested to him by Earako, the thread of the colors that he was in needed of, and because he couldn't resist some pretty, soft blue cloth. He walked up to check out, his things all put in a single, large bag to make them easier to carry. Once he was done paying he waited near the door for the batgirl.

Earako rushed back over to the lace, biting her lip as she compared them. Finally settling on a gray and a red, she brought both up to the counter to purchase. That part was easy. Rousing a sleepy dragon, less so.
"Vimber!" She tugged on the red's horns, trying to pull her head up out from where it was tucked between her forelegs. A low growl was the first reward for her efforts, but Vimber eventually got to her feet. "We're gonna meet a dragon!"
Holding her bag in one hand, she rested the other on Vimber's head, and walked to the door. "This is Vimber!" She explained, when she reached the owl child. "Vimber, this is my friend!"
That darn forgotten name again.
Vimber, for her part, growled at the strange other, pushing closer to Special's side, putting a protective barrier between what was hers and the threat. Sleep was forgetten now that danger lurked about. Just let it try to take her, just let it try! She'd show it what happened to thiefs.
"She's a bit shy." Earako explained the growling away with a calm smile. "Don't worry, Pretty. He won't hurt you."

"Vimber? Shes pretty." Ligeia said as he looked the dragon over, she was a brilliant red color. She was quite different from his very blue Vorel now wasn't she, "My name is Ligeia, its very nice to meet you Vimber." He said introducing himself, he knew what it was like to be shy so he didn't get to close to her so as not to upset the shy dragon.
He walked over to the door and held it open for the girls, "Vorel is over by the water fountain, he likes the water." He said, looking towards the big fountain. Louning on the edge of it, munching on something frozen was his dragon partner, "See, see? There he is."
Vorel looked all shimmery and pretty in the sun.

Earako continued to stroke Vimber affectionately, her expression brightening as Vimber's shyness began to wear off, the dragon leaning into the petting and no longer watching the boy as if he might be dangerous.
"Thank you," she murmured as she walked through the door. Squinting in the daylight, despite her sunglasses, Earako opened her lacy black parasol, shading herself further from the discomfort of the sun. Vimber, who wasn't overly fond of the open air herself, pressed close to her, making quiet churring sounds.
She let her attention move to the fountain, the dragon rather hard to miss. Dragon's usually were. "He's so lovely!"
Vimber was quite pleased with herself, and willing to more or less forgive the other for existing. After all, the other had called her pretty, one of those words that she heard often enough to know the meaning of. And she was pretty! The sky made her nervous, it always did, but she did her best to ignore it, tuning in to more praise coming from Special. About her of course.
Though there was another dragon... Vimber bristled, growling. At least this one wasn't the same colour as her. That was some comfort. But strange dragons... he better not try to steal her Special.

Ligeia gave a smile at the compliment she gave to Vorel, then called out to his dragon, "Vorel! Come here! I have someone for you to meet!" Ligeia told his dragon partner, excitedly. The Frost dragon lifted his blue eyed gaze then swallowed whatever he'd been chewing on before making his way over to them. He sat down at his partner's feet and gazed up at Earako, tail a wagging. It was a prettypretty! They didn't meet up with near enough pretties he decided, giving her a crooning greeting.
His eyes then went to her very red companion... and his eyes widened a little bit as he looked the other dragon over. He tilted his head at her growling, Vorel then tried to puff up a bit, to get a little bigger and gave a sound back to her, a little defensive. He wasn't sure what was with her... had he done something wrong?
Maybe he should offer her some of the crunchy yummies that he had been eating? Would that cheer her up?

Earako smiled as Vorel came near, holding out her free hand to offer a scratch to Ligeia's dragon. She made a point of keeping her other hand on Vimber, her friend was at her best when she was getting attention. If she stopped petting, the red might go all shy. And that would be kinda embarassing, with the frost dragon being so friendly.
Vimber actually seemed to relax a little when she recieved a growl in return. Here was a dragon with a spine then! That was something worth at least a little grudging respect. Though it didn't meant that she wasn't ready to fight for her Special, if she needed too.
The growl faded, becoming a mere glare as Vimber kept pressed close against her Special. Waiting to see if any further actions needed to be taken.

Ligeia watched the two closely, listened to the growling in a way that was a little worried but then gave a smile. They didn't seem to be fighting so maybe instead they were just talking to each other?
"I think its going well." He murmured, watching the blue hued dragon as he walked over to the fountain, looking into it for a moment before snatching something out of it and walked over to Vimber, offering her a stolen goldfish. He knew from experiance of the few he'd eaten while waiting on Ligeia that they were tasty.
The owl gave a squeak upon seeing the dragon go fishing in the fountain, oh no! He was eating the malls goldfishes! The owl boy flushed brightly, "Ahh! No more fish after that one." He told Vorel, not about to tell him to put it back since he was already giving it away, that would be trying to take it from TWO dragons and he wasn't that brave.

"Maybe they'll be friends." Earako agreed, watching in surprise as Vorel brough a fish from the fountain. Eww... gross. Except, of course, that it was meant as a present, and that was kinda sweet. In a weird way. Earako managed to smile, if somewhat weakly. The poor fish was certainly doomed. She wasn't going to get between Vimber and a treat.
The other dragon was bringing something? Confused, Vimber held still, tail lashing anxiously until he returned with the goldfish. What was this, then? She sniffed at it, cautiously, before realizing it was meat! An offering? It must be. Churring bright approval, the red dragon quickly went to work on the goldfish, finishing it off in a few greedy bites.
Finished, she allowed herself to give him another look, this one less threatening. The growl and glare were gone, unneeded for one who was so clearly loyal to her. So clearly admiring of her many charms. She chirped happily and leaned forward to nudge the other dragon in brief affection. Her Special could keep these two.

Vorel gave a happy sound at the good reaction from the red dragoness, his tail started to wag back and forth happily. She was happy over the treat and even gave him a little show of affection, he felt quite happy with that too.
He crooned at her then lifted his head to nuzzle against Ligeia's hand and the owl boy stroked his smooth, glassy scales affectionately, "That was very... ahh... nice of you to share with her Vorel. Next time though best not to take something that belongs to someone else ok?" He said, not upset so much as he didn't want for him to get in trouble.
The frost dragon gave a nod before he turned back to the pretty red dragon.

Vimber, having made her feeling known on the subject, returned to her post at her Special's legs, nuzzling her pale white fingertips in warm approval. At last she'd found the right sort of people to hang around. Not threats, like her usual company.
Earako knew a good mood when she saw it, and quickly took on her dragon's affectionate cheerfulness as her own. Not that it wasn't her usual state, but Vimber's good mood certainly intensified it. "Oh, they like each other! I'm so glad. I was starting to worry that Vimber wouldn't be very good at making friends."
It was then that she saw her Da', the tall dark haired man waving to get her attention, and jumped guiltily. "Oops. I've got to go now! I'll see you again soon, and you can show me what you make with those books."
Vimber, quite obviously, wanted to stay. But she wasn't about to let her Special out of her sight, and therefore followed, if reluctantly.

"I'm glad too, Vorel needs more friends that are dragons." Ligeia said, glad that he'd been able to win over Vimber since Ligeia like hanging out with Earako, best that their dragons were friends too so there were no battles or anything when he and Earako happened to cross paths.
Ligeia looked over to where Earako's father was then nodded, "Alright, I hope to talk to you again soon!" He said, smiling brightly before he turned to Vorel, "Come on, we need to find Daddy and and Ter." He told the dragon waiting until Earako made it safetly to her father before setting out to find his own.
Vorel called out a farwell to Vimber before quickly following after his partner.
