Kinera stood there for a moment longer before realising her brother had left her. "Hey wait up!" Kinera yelled and ran after her brother, when she caught up to him, Kinera stuck to his side. She felt safer with her brother around and his new weapon.

Kinera nodded to Rayl and followed him into the park. She didn't know of the dangers that lurked there. After all they usually went around the park but today Kinera and Rayl were in a hurry. "The park seems scarry at night though, Rayl..."

Kinera nodded but still could help but be scared. They walked at a brisk pace but Kinera felt like they were moving slower then a snail. The sun was sinking in the sky rapidly now and the shadows cast by the trees grew darker and more menacing. By chance Kinera looked up as both siblings past under a branch, there was a glimps of something moving then it was gone. "Rayl... can you hear any birds?" Kinera asked moving closer to her brother. The park was full of birds usually and now it was silent in the erie way. The sudden sound of wood cracking alerted Rayl and Kinera to the danger coming from above

Kinera was looking around scared now. She looked up again and saw a creature leap down to land infront of Rayl. "Look out!" Kinera grabbed her brother and pulled him back as the creature swipped. It roared and targeted Rayl viewing him as a threat over the loud smaller human with him. The creature knocked Kinera out of its way before rearing up to maul the human with the weapon.

The creature was enraged by the human's actions. With one arm covered in bony ridges it moved its arm to block the attack howling in rage when the blade of the weapon stuck. With its free hand the creature got ready to punch forward with enough force that would knock the human back into the tree behind him.

Kinera pushed herself up, seeing the creature about to attack she picked up the nearest thing, a stick, and throw it at the creature.

The stick hit the creature's head and it stopped turning its head looking for the origin of the attack. It saw the little human and growled jerking forward towards Kinera.

((Well there goes one monster, 5 more to go! blaugh ))

It was already dark when Kenji went into the Cliffside park. Since Mr. Wallace was actually punishing him and that he had to pick up some stuff for mom, he had to take a shortcut home today. Walking through the eastern part of it, Kenji saw a group of people nearby, crowding the pathway. Deciding to ignore them, he tried to walk past them without incident...apparently bad luck had grown fond of Kenji.

"IT'S YOU!" a familiar voice shouted as Kenji's collar was pulled back. It was the guy from lunch today.

He snickered, "You don't have anyone to hide behind now b***h!"

Kenji put his guard and got into his fighting stance. It would be his first time fighting to save his own behind.

Several of them laughed, "Oh? Gonna fight me little sophmore? You're going get owned so badly, your mama won't recognize you!" The prep threw a punch then followed up with a left hook but Kenji jumped back, evading it, but ended up getting pushed back by the guy's friends. Using the force behind him, Kenji ducked low before delievering three quick punches to the stomache.

Staggering backwards, the prep growled in anger and lunged at him. Kenji's confidence grew each time he landed a hit and evade an attack, knowning at those spars with his old friends actually helped.

The fight lasted about ten more minutes before the prep was worn out and Kenji surrounded by the guy's crowd of friends ready to finish the job. "This isn't good..."

Out of nowhere, pairs of red eyes appeared from the bushes. Inhuman snarls and gashing of teeth were heard.

"Wh..what the hell are those!?"

"Who cares! RUN!" They panicked and ran like cowards, leaving Kenji with five..deformed beings beyond description. He ran, knowing that there was no way he could fight them and live. They chased after their prey like a vulture on a dead carcass.

"HELP!"

Kinera nodded, shaking still from the fright. "Wait... that's Kenji!" Kinera saw her classmate first before seeing the other things behind him. "Kenji! Over here!" Kinera jumped up and down to get his attention while her brother was tugging her arm to get her to run as well
