"Why? Is he too shy or too arrogant for society?" Yei arched a brow and then released a chuckle as a rather pleasant though came to mind, it seemed that those type of stallions were the only ones she ever met - apparently she needed to get out more and meet slightly more approachable ones, or maybe she was simply a magnet for them.
"Perhaps I should start my own business. I'll cure stallions of their indesirable perks for a package of berries, refunds not given." She mused, flicking her ears and canting her head to the side as she continued to observe the other mare. Now the mare had said something rather interesting...
"What do you mean, different reasons?"

Chu giggled lightly and shook her head. "No no, he's not shy...maybe a little arrogant. But it seems like he just says things that most Soquili would rather not hear. Uh....morbid stuff?"
She wrinkled her nose lightly then giggled a bit softer. "Well, I'm sure you would get a lot of packs of berries if you did that." Her curly tail flicked back and forth as she let out another giggle.
"By different reasons I mean...." Her ears flatened slightly and her brows furrowed. "Atsila's father was one of those pale faces, well, a pale face anyway. This was a long time ago since Atsila is an adult now. But her mother was a two legger like those in the Kawani village, but she lived in a different one. She was....raped....buy a pale faced two legger when he stumbled upon her one day. The end result was my two legger. Her mother died when she was young and once that happened the other villagers drove her away and she's been weary of other two leggers ever since. She had to grow up pretty quickly with being on her own for so long."

"Oh..." Yei flattened her ears as Chu spoke of her two-leggers history. She had been aware of Achak's insistance on leaving the village due to the fact that he simply didn't fit in and nor did he appreciate the traditions of his family but this was beyond all measure. The mare's heart went out to Chu's human and she assumed that had Achak known, his probably would have too.
"I'm really sorry to hear that, does that mean she never goes near them anymore?" She enquired softly, unable to drop the subject as that was one thing she rather wanted to know...just in case she did and Achak happened to bump into her, in which case Yei could give him a nudge to at least say hello as opposed to stalking through, selling his ointments and quickly vacating the premises again.
"I always found the pale-faces to be a little strange, my two-legger never liked them either." She mused, finally allowing her ears to perk as she observed the mare in a little more detail - she really wanted her pelt markings...

Chu smiled lightly and shook her head a bit. "No, she goes around them occasionally. She's just a little wary even though they don't know of what happened so long ago. Not wanting anyone to really find out I guess." Her tail flicked solomnly for a moment as she thought about it.
"I've never really liked the pale faces. Though Firefly seems to have taken an interest in one of their Soquili they brought. But that Soquili's pale face owner had to return to their lands cause she was sick."

"Ah, well at least she socialises to a point - I think she may find herself lacking if she was unable to do so. If I could I would commend her for her bravery and maturity but they never seem to understand me when I try to talk to them..." She pursed her equine lips for a few moments and then released a small chuckle as memories flooded back to her, times when she had attempted to shape her own lips to match their's so that she could say their words - it hadn't worked out well.
"I can't say I've met any pale faced soquili though, I did notice they had very odd things on their faces though and shiny stuff in their mouth - I've always wondered how they spoke with those mouth pieces." She continued, her lazy ear giving it's traditional twitch as her brow slowly arched, "Maybe they have no tongue to get in the way?"

Chu giggled and shook her head slightly. "That's silly. Not in a bad sense. It's just...two leggers can't really understand us. I mean, some Soquili have learned the symbols that the two leggers use to communicate and can draw them in the dirt to kind of communicate with their two legger. But it takes a lot of watching to figure out what some of those weird symbols mean really."
She smiled lightly and gave her tail a flick. "Firefly says that those things that their Soquili wear are removable somehow. But I think it would be really uncomfortable to have to wear one of those."

"I can't say I've ever seen Paramekia or Cloud take their's off..." Swivelling her ears round slightly to listen to the carious sounds in the immediate vicinity, she released a soft whicker and then promptly began to laugh at the idea of her drawing anything - her artistic skills left much to be desires and so did Achak's - she could see neither of them excelling at pictionary...or charades.
"I've found that continually headbutting mine tends to make him aware of the fact that I actually want something." She explained, shifting her weight as her tail flicked up to brush the flies away from her hind quarters, they were really quite irritating critters and she could never understand their purpose.
"Then again, they don't have metal in their mouths..."

"Well, I haven't seen anyone take their stuff of either really. If they have stuff to take off that is....." Her tail gave a few flicks before settling against her hinde quarters. She marched inplace a few steps before she stopped. She had atleast see one Soquili that knew some symbols that the two leggers used, but she herself had never tried to write them in the dirt before.
Chu giggled lightly and shook her head. Her curly mane whipping around. "My two legger pretty much knows and can read out body language I guess is how you would put it. But then again she always has food and stuff out for us incase she's not around and we need something."

"Ah, my two-legger only tends to do that as winter approaches and food becomes scarce, otherwise he lets us find our own meals." She smiled fondly as she recollected Achak's many attempts to find the foods she liked, he had tried everything from berries to bark until he discovered she was quite happy with a mix!
"Although the idea of drawing would be somewhat fun, highly amusing to say the least and it would improve my artistic talents which are somewhat lacking." To demonstrate, she attempted to draw a sun on the dusty patch of soil beneath her feet - what came out though was a little swirl with lines moving out from the centre...well, she never claimed she could draw circles, now did she?
"I must say though, I would be rather curious to see if I could persuade either of the stallions at my abode to take their 'garb' off, they're really rather fond of it." She mused.

"Well, Atsila usually only does it near the beginning of fall whenever the grass starts to turn slightly brown. Though not all of us take advantage of the food she leaves out. Cadaver and myself don't usually need to have our food given to us, though Firefly is kinda picky as to what she'll eat, so once the grass starts turning brown she visits the teepee more often." She smiled lightly as she thought about it. It had been a while since she'd actually seen Firefly and wondered where she was. Though of course the dark mare had her own agenda to attend to and Chu wasn't one to go snooping really into other's business.
She looked down at the drawing in the dirt and giggled. "Well, it might not be the best, but I'm sure someone would be able to figure out what it is if they looked at it hard enough." Letting out another small giggle she shook her head.
"Some are more used to haveing it on, so it feels like skin I guess. Though I'd figure haveing a lot of stuff on would get hot on warmer days. I really just prefer to be like I am." Chu nodded her head affirmingly. She'd rather not be bridled by something she wore, rather, she'd just stay without anything on. Her dark colors made it hot enough on said warmer days.
