Ria continued wailing, voice turning louder and louder as she rubbed her eye. It wasn't working! Raj mumbled under his breath, stepping over, glancing curiously at the boy (and the man not too far away) before pulling his daughter up, patting the girl's back. But it still hurt! Ria sniffled, quieting a bit as her 'mommy' wiped her eyes, and the stinging slowly lessened until she couldn't feel anything anymore. "Hummm.." Raj grinned, peering down at the boy. Ria laid her head on the man's shoulder and smiled weakly down at Caleb.

"Ahhhhh, sand in the eyes. I wondered," Aiodhan said with a brief shudder. Sand was awful when it got into certain places. "I'm guessing that's your daughter."
Caleb was totally confused by this whole turn of events. He just sat there on the sand until Ria smiled at him. Then he returned the smile with every one of his sharp little teeth. "Heeeeeeeeee!"

"Yuh-hunh." Raj grinned at the man, again patting the girl's head. Ria giggled softly, reaching up to rub her eyes lightly, whimpering quietly at the remaining ache. "Is that your son? Looked like they were playing.." Not that he had watched, exactly.. Ooh, guilty feeling.
"Eeee!" Ria giggled and squirmed in her 'mother's arms, waving happily at Caleb. "Paaay!"

"Yep, that's my son. The only male child in the house, I might add," Aiodhan chuckled, ruffling his son's hair. It wasn't as if he could make the hair look any messier than it was already. Caleb's hair was like Aiodhan's: naturally very tousled. "They were playing. Or investigating each others' wings, I guess you could say."
Caleb chortled and waved back with both hands. "Peeyay!"

Raj snorted softly. "She's the only girl, but that's not really saying much. She's an only child." he beamed at the little girl, who was currently gurgling about 'paying' and 'Foo'. "Aaaah, I was wondering.. Hum. Guess it's all right for them to be curious." Raj let himself sit, Ria crawling away from him, back to Caleb.

"Lucky girl. She would be overwhelmed by females in our house," Aiodhan chuckled, settling himself down just behind Caleb. "Curious is good, except when they're curious about fire, dangerous chemicals, or possibly dangerous wild animals," he said, quoting his mate on that. "Oh, yeah, I'm Aiodhan. This is Caleb. My mate is over there on her towel with one of our other kids," he said, waving in Amyla's direction.
Caleb cooed and scooted forward, tilting his head to one side and waving his tail in anticipation of more playtime.

Raj glanced over his shoulder. "That's Rian. This is Ria. And I'm Raj." he grinned, watching Ria crawl back over and start prodding Caleb's wings again. "Hum. We've met.. sort of a friend who's female. Hoping.." he paused, shifting a bit. "That she can teach her things when Ria gets older. 'cause I'd be scared what my sister would teach her."

"Nice to meet you, Raj. And Ria," Aiodhan added, grinning as the little girl crawled back over to Caleb. They were so cute. "Your sister a bit strange, then?" he queried, watching Ria prod at Caleb's wings. Caleb didn't seem to mind.
Caleb didn't mind at all, for he took the opportunity to prod at Ria's wings, fascinated by the colors. "Yeeetah!"

"Well.." Raj took a moment to watch the children, a small smile replacing the wolfish grin from earlier. "Strange isn't the word I'll use, but it sounds better." he said slowly, shrugging a bit. "Mm, but she's the least of our worries. And, hopefully, it'll take a decent amount of time for the kid to grow up."
Ria squeaked at the contact, squirming, wings behind her fluttering quickly. "Eech.." she made a face, turning a bit, batting at the boy's tail.

Aiodhan barely contained a snicker. Oh, he could imagine what was worse than 'strange.' "Yeah, Caleb's taking his grand ol' time in growing. Don't worry; I'm sure she's got plenty of time left before she starts really making you pull your hair out."
Caleb puffed up and gave a muffled harumph, waving his tail about. "Myeeeeee!" he declared, trying to poke at her wings again.

"Ah, doubt she will. She seeeemss like she's going to be decent, but she throws these fits and arrgh.." Raj huffed, leaning back. "I don't want to worry about it. Too frustrating. She's such a sweet little ball of color.." he cooed on for a moment or so before reaching over to pull away a cackling Ria.
Ria pouted. She had been having fun, and her wings were so ticklish..! "'o, amam! Pay!" she whimpered, reaching out to Caleb.
