"Well that makes a little more sense." Athrun said as he rubbed Wahabu on the head for being so cute about the ability to say a word. "A god's best past-time is watching mortals to see that no harm comes to them. Or at the very least that nothing wrong happens in their realm."
Athrun thought for a moment and then continued. "For example, my realm is that of loneliness. So if I saw a lion with a sad heart or a lonely soul I would reach out and attempt to help them with what was troubling them. That's what most gods do, though some can affect mortals directly, others can do nothing to them except influence their thoughts and hope that something happens. I often to the latter of the two, though I have done the fore once." The ancient explained gently. ninja

Wahabu held his head up prouldly when praised for managing to pronounce the strange new word, then tossed his head when Athrun explained how his dream made sense. It made the cub feel good to know that what he'd dreamt was reasonable, considering it was winged lions and he had no other knowledge of these things before dreaming.
When Athrun explained his realm and how they help, Wahabu made a face. "That's a nice thing to do, helping sad lions," he commented, then tilted his head, "I want to help too! But I don't have any funny powers. I'm just me." Wahabu definetely thought it was a good thing to be able to help sad or lonely lions.

"You don't need 'funny' powers to help anyone." Athrun said simply to the small cub before him. "All you need is the heart and the patience that come with helping someone."
Athrun sat up and looked at the sun in the sky for a moment and grinned. "Though if you ever need some help then you can just give me a call. I'll help you with whatever it is." Athrun said playfully with a smile. To think that this cub wanted to help others made him smile inwardly. It gave him hope for the future of his realm, for the future of lions in general. ninja

"Ok!" Wahabu grinned as soon as Athrun assured him you don't need any powers to be able to help others, and then he made a face while considering the requirements. He had a heart, and patience- right? Finally he just stuck out his tongue, "I have that!" His proclamation was accompanied by a firm nod. If he didn't have those, he would make sure he got them.
His eyes followed Athrun's to the sun, but immediately came back down to the dirt. The sun was very bright, especially for his light colored eye. "Ok!" he beamed, "How do I call you? Just yell your name? You must have really good hearing.."
Wahabu nodded matter-of-factly.

Reaching down with a white paw, Athrun noogied the top of Wahabu's smaller head lightly as he asked. A soft chuckle worked it's way from his muzzle and he flicked his dark red tail against one of his feet.
"Well I should like to believe you have a heart little one." the god smiled down at him playfully when he released him. "Just call my name, if you do in fact need my help then I'll hear you and follow."
Standing up so that the cub barely even reached his elbow, Athrun spread his wings and looked up at the sky again. It was time he was getting back to Azra before she missed him or one of his sons just... wandered off again. Especially Akiiki, he wandered off the most often.
Leaning down and nudging Wahabu gently, Athrun smiled, "You should be getting home soon shouldn't you Wahabu." the god said, "As for myself, it's about time I did the same. I don't need my cubs wandering off." Licking the top of Wahabu's head he nodded to him and flicked his wings up into the cerulean sky. ninja

"Ok! I'll remember that," Wahabu grinned at Athrun, decidedly a new friend of his, "You do have good hearing then!" He seemed awed but not too surprised by this fact, why shouldn't he have good hearing? You can't help those you can't hear. That meant he'd have to practice his hearing.
Wahabu was drawn from his thoughts at the mention of returning to family, and he smiled smally. He loved his family, but was a little afraid of his sister- there was something disturbing about her, mainly he figured it was her meanness. "Alright," he replied, standing and stretching out his toes. He would have questioned Athrun's comments about his own cubs, but before he could the god was off.
"G'bye!" he called after him, then turned to head back to his family's den.
