To Seraphynthetic: Wow, your username is hard to type! Does it annoy you? It sounds very cool though!

I live in Southern California (ridiculously close to the border, actually). I don't know if tea comes hot or cold when you order it because... I don't. I guess cold.

They have, *gulp*, chocolate tea?! No way! Rasberry and mint tea sound scrumptious as well, I'll have to try these when I get home!

Thank you so so much!!

I never type in my username on Gaia anymore. xD I use that auto sign-in feature. I'm kind of mad at myself for using Seraphynthetitc instead of Seraphynth like I normally use. x:

I don't often order tea when we go out ot eat unless it's one of those teas that has the fruit flavour liquor (it's not alcoholic) added to it. I like blackberry and peach. <3
So you don't know how tea comes where you live? You should order it sometime to see. I'm curious now as to how the West does their tea. o:

Yup, chocolate tea. It's very good. <3 I like chocolate strawberry. I've got a bag of loose "Chocolate Mocha Spice" that I have yet to try.

Do you by any chance know the brand of tea that makes chocolate tea? I've never seen it in any of the stores I shop at, but I would be interested in trying some out. (Honestly, how can you go wrong with chocolate? <3)

If you live near a Trader Joe's Market, then I know that they have yummy chocolate tea. whee

To Sreaphynetic:
I'm a New England girl through and through. When you order tea here it is always hot. The only time it is cold is if it is bubble tea or if it is labelled as iced tea. Tea is never served with milk unless you ask for it (or if it's chai), and is only served sweetened if it is chai, certain types of iced tea, or some bubble teas. Most cafes and tea houses leave sugar packets, artifical sweetners, honey, milk, cream, and soymilk out for thier customers to use.

I didn't know that tea was almost always served cold in the South! I thought it would be served hot since traditionally, tea is served hot.

I didn't see it mentioned but you shouldn't put cream in fruit teas. It usually curdles.
And as far as green tea- you CAN put both sugar and cream into it but I myself prefer a french vanilla soy creamer or just honey in my green tea.

Tea around me always served the legal 180 degrees around me. Tea needs warm water to properly brew. The old fashion way to make Iced tea is to let it steep in the sun for hours. Many of the diners around here still make their iced tea from hot tea.
But yea, I'm in the north and it's always served hot but iced tea is usually available. And they usually expect you to treat it like coffee, sweeten to taste and use milk to cool it.

I like green tea as my personal fave but most restaurants around me only serve lipton. I usually add tons of honey to it but when no honey is served I usually make it weaker, one bag for 2 cups of tea.

This is interesting. I didn't realise how differently tea was served in different areas. x3

Of course...I've never really been out of the South except to go further south. xD

I'd always heard that tea up North was merely served unsweetened unless requested to be sweetened. I'm glad to know they serve it hot.
Although in the South, as much as I love a traditional tea...sometimes it's just too hot (not the tea itself, but the temperature and the mood). So if I do order a hot tea, I always have to order a glass of water.
The only time tea is served hot here is if it is labeled as hot or if you're at a tea house.

It's like ya'll are from another country to me. xD

I lovelovelove sun tea.
It's strange.
I can't drink hot tea or iced tea without sweeteners...
...but I drink sun tea the way it is.
Fresh out of the sun.
Haha.
