Kamal nodded his head as Hakan ushered for them to leave, looking back at Mbaya with some disgust. “Yes.” He drawled and rose as his brother did, although he did have a want to say more. But he respected Hakan’s authority on the matter, and didn’t respond with anything else. It was good enough to see Mbaya squirm where she was. What a bitter matter!
With a quirk in his grin, he turned from the female and slowly padded forwards, hanging back a moment to be sure the event was concluded, and that Mbaya was not to say anything more. And she did- shouting a few final bitter words at Hakan, before even he turned away.

Her words seemed to have hold of him, catching him just as he was about to turn away from her. They froze him to the ground with anger and with sadness. Why her? Why did he have to love her? He felt angry at himself for falling to such weak emotions, disgusted and trapped by the fact that he would always care what happened to her no matter what he tried to do to convince himself otherwise.
He stared right back into her eyes, the blue orbs ice as he tried to gather strength to return her insults.
But then wisdom fell upon his face and with a snort he turned fully, casting his gaze upon his brother. An affectionate smile fell into place on his maw - an affection that only his family saw and what his cubs would see.
"Lets get out of here Kamal, I think someone needs a timeout." And with a swish of his tail he trotted off having faith that his brother would follow.
