The first time I saw him was when he killed that rain nin. I was like " holy crap! He's so cool! " And that was why I was obsessed with red & kept smearing my mascara for a while. And I also watched Pom Poko a lot xd

At first i was obsessed with sasuke when i started watching Naruto, but then when Gaara came on i was like.....creepy dude....hot creepy dude...hot badass creepy....hot badass creepy dude that stole my heart (After that i went screw the emo boy!)...and then i saw his 7 year old self and then thought of the grudge boy....that creeped me out. But now i want to huggles his chibi self! heart

It was when I discovered his past. I felt so sorry for him and he's been my favorite ever since. I nearly cried when died...actually...I did cry. ><

My first thought when I saw him in the manga was, wow he's cool but Kakashi is still my favorite...then when he killed that rain dude and stood under that umbrella with blood raining down upon him I was like...my god....I love him... It was actually his fight with Lee that got me obsessed with the show. (I was actually trembling when I watched it.) And every time he appears on the screen I love him more and more...I've cried over him and lost sleep over him...seriously...Gaara is my obsession...

The first Shonen Jump with him in it came out before I started loving Naruto, so I probably didn't think much of him.
But when I first saw him in the anime... I squealed a fan girl squeal. smile
