i always noticed the typos and such but never all these confusing things.. hmm..

It suddenly occured to me as I was reading Incubus Dreams for the second time...
Micah said in Narcissus in Chains that he was snipped right? so no risk of Anita being pregnant (as amusing as that scenario would be, "who's the daddy?!?!").
But when did he get it done?
Whilst being were, wouldn't it heal back to normal during one of the shiftings like his nose has done?
Before being were, ...??
... I'm not sure if this counts as a gaff, but it just struck me as strange.

I thought this one up last night...
How did the Master of Beasts have a son?
He's a Council Member, so he has to be pretty old as well as pretty powerful, so the usual method has to be out.
He's already in a Triumverate, with Gideon and the other dude, so he can't have attached his son to himself that way... Plus he woulda been hurt/killed when the son was killed.
So... *shrug*

FenrisVollmond I thought this one up last night... How did the Master of Beasts have a son? He's a Council Member, so he has to be pretty old as well as pretty powerful, so the usual method has to be out. He's already in a Triumverate, with Gideon and the other dude, so he can't have attached his son to himself that way... Plus he woulda been hurt/killed when the son was killed. So... *shrug* Actually Anita mentions a few times in her books that even though it is HIGHLY unlikely for a vamp to be fertile it is still a posibility. So the son could have just been from an alliance with a woman or some such thing. Though rare, they never say it is imposible. Unless I remember wrong...

Maybe he had his son before he became a vamp. Maybe his son was really old too.

It was said in one of the books, though I can't rememberwhich specifically, that if the wound was caterized, then even were's couldn't heal it. So while, very painful, it could be done even after they became a were.

>_> That doesn't sound as good in print as I hoped. Well, being that he's the Master of Beasts, perhaps he can keep lycanthropes and animals alive longer than their typical lifespan if he wishes to?

Maybe you should email Laurell with them and possibly stop her from making another mistake. You have a good eye and memory.

Okay, how about a NEW question for you folks...
Many of the shifters have piercings, yes? Most of them in silver because they either like the pain or so that the holes don't heal over.
So... what happens when they shift?
Do they turn into animals with fancy jewellry? Or do the piercings fall out?

Unless I remember wrong... i dont remember how old his son was. so it is possible he had had his son a long time ago? and turned him vamp too later? i would need to go back and reread some things to be sure.
