Isi yawned, and flicked her tail. It would be suprising when she met her first mean lion, all she had been greeted with here so far was sweetness. Even Phib, if grumpy, was nice enough. "Oh." She nodded lazily. "A leader. Well, thats good. It would be wierd without one. Everyone would be fighting, maybe." The lioness nodded sagely.

"It's cub season? I have yet to see any.. I like cubs. Do you like cubs? I do. They're so small." She giggled. "Queens? Power to the lioness's!" Isi grinned stupidly. "A nice laugh?" She paused to listen to Améh's mimc. "Is that what they sound like? They sound alot like lions!"

The black lioness smiled, and nodded. "He should be. You sound exactly like a hyena when you try to!" Even though she had never heard one yourself.

Améh shook her head. “Phib would disagree with me-“ He already was. “But, I think people can do fine on their own, if they need to. It doesn’t have to be anarchy. But people can try to cooperate in one unit, and never need a leader.” She smiled. “But...I suppose a good leader does make things work easier.”

Phib miraculously kept himself quiet, simply because he decided the other female probably didn’t care to hear the two argue about politics. As far as his mind went- Améh lived in a world that just wasn’t real. But at the same time...he appreciated her for it. Even if it was silly.

Améh blushed, and flattened her ears. “Yes, I like cubs.” She’d actually been thinking about them a bit more then usual. But she had yet to exactly bring that up with him. “They’re very cute. Sometimes I’m a little jealous of all the happy mothers, hee.”

Améh laughed, and shook her head. “I’m afraid it wasn’t very good- they don’t sound like lions at all. But, you’ll know it when you hear it. Just keep your eyes out. Some of them are good, but you always need to be careful, you know?”

"Oh." Isi frowned, wondering why she never thought of that. "Well.. I guess.." She didn't really like the idea, personally. It should be as it always was, right? "Yup.. A nice leader makes everything good." The lioness nodded.

"Yes, cubs are wonderful! They play a good game of tag!" Isi grinned, thinking about some of the cubs she had met before she came to the pridelands. "Very cute." She agreed with a nod. "You mean you want to have cubs? Ewwwwwwww. I never want to have cubs. It's gross!" Sometimes she really acted like a little cub.

"Oh, they don't?" The purple and black lioness furrowed her brow. "They must sound really wierd then.." She yawned, and used her hind leg to scratch behind her ear. "Oh, don't worry, I will be."

Améh giggled softly, and flattened her ears, the content of the discussion enough for her to even will a small shade of pink to her illusion’s cheeks. “Well-“ She stumbled, shifting her tail. “It isn’t so bad, I am thinking–“ Although she herself had no powers over the maternity process, she did take a special interest in watching the health of some pregnant females. She had never found herself attached to the idea before. In fact- up until recent years, she had had a rather longstanding virginal stance; even in her previous incarnations. But–

“I do like children.” She reflected. “I’ve never had any of my own though. I think sometimes you just have to wait long enough. And then you see how much you would like them.” She grinned. “I don’t think I’d make a very good mother, though... I think I would worry too much. But I wouldn’t worry about having kids! You never have to if you don’t want to.” She replied- although she had a feeling it wouldn’t be the young lioness’s sentiment forever.

Isi was blushing a dark purple at the content of this discussion. She herself was a version, the lioness had never had feelings for any male beside her da, before he died. She knew enough about the process though, for her blush to turn to scarlet as they continued. "I.. Well.." Isi stumbled, not knowing what to say anymore.

"Well.. yeah.. children.. are nice.." The lioness nodded, her eyes downcast. "Same. Never had anyof my own. It's gross." She nodded, sure of this fact. "I never thought about me a mother. Do you think it's fun..?" Isi cocked an eyebrow. "Yes, I'm never going to have kids. Ever! It's just plain, gross. Very gross."

Améh giggled frivolously, and rose a paw to hush herself. Even she was surprised at herself! Time to behave now. She composed herself, although the slight pink tint to her white fur was still evident. “Well-“ She stumbled, a wide smile across her face. “Don’t worry though. I think your opinions might change someday. Young people have no business with children. I’m not really sure about it being fun...” She paused and considered it.

She had been thinking on it. She’d heard of other goddesses who had bore the children of mortals. Technically- she could do it. She knew how to do it in an innate part of her being; but there was a hesitation there. Like Isi, she didn’t particularly favor the idea of giving birth. And even moreso- she didn’t like the idea of mortal children that would die. No...- she’d have to think much more on it.

On one hand- if she started a progeny, she could ensure it would continue. And even if Phib died- she would always have a part of them she could follow up on. But Améh was no fool. People changed from generations- the children would have their children, who would have their children, who would have theirs- up into obscurity, long past when the original desire had been lost. And she- who would never really die or move on until mortality itself had gone-? It was a big thing to commit to.

But- luckily for Isi, Améh doubted that she would ever have the factor in her life span into her decision to have children! “I think you would make a good mother, should you ever decide to.” She reflected honestly, and nodded her head. “But it’s one of those things you take your time with.”

Isi frowned. "I don't think it's very fun." Her tail flicked, and the blush deepened. "I mean.. well.. you know.." She giggled, and nodded. "Yes.. Well.. My stomach would kill. Yes, I'm young. No business with children making." The lioness said, with another hushed giggle.

"Will you ever have kids someday?" Isi asked, watching the Lioness's face curoiusly. She seemed to be thinking hard 'bout something. A small, empty guttaral growl filled the air around her. "Uh.. wha?" She looked around, but saw nothing that could be making such a wierd noise. The lioness looked down at her stomach, and blushed a deep indigo when she realized it was her. "Oh.. Uh.." She grinned sheepishly, and let her stomach quiet down.

"Yeah.. it's a big desicion. I'll always say no, though." Isi added, stubbornly, still blushing slightly.

Améh pursed her lips in thought, before smiling softly and blinking her large ringed eyes. “In the end, I don’t think it is for me to decide, is it?” Well- in her case it probably was for her to decide. But as it was...the idea hovered above her. She did want cubs. But she was also afraid of losing them- as she inevitably would.

The sound of Isi’s growling stomach caught Améh’s attention, and her eyes fluttered downwards to the other female’s belly. “Oh dear!” She half giggled, and flattened her ears. “Are you hungry?” Gah-! Of course she was. Améh made a mental note to be more considerate of what she rambled about.

And- where was Phib through all this talk of babies? After the concept of ‘womanhood’ had come up, the large green lion had for the most part toned the females out, and stared blankly at the horizon. He had had children before- and he had no interest in any more children. Although had one asked him, and perhaps if he had been paying attention, he might have noted that he would not have minded them either. But notoriously- he was a bad father.

The sound of her rumbling belly caused him to glance back towards them, and note the awkward expressions on the two girls.

Isi shrugged, a sage look coming across her face. "Well.. I think it is." Her sage look dissapeared and was replaced by a sheepish smile. Cubs? She did like cubs.. But having them? It looked so painful..

The lioness shuffled her paws so they quickly covered almost any view of her stomach. "A little bit." She nodded, but quickly added, "But I'll be okay." Isi smiled, happy for the distraction in this.. awkward talk. She liked this lion.. but not the talk. "Well.." The purple lioness looked around. "I should probably be going soon.. So the Pridelands aren't too far?"

Isi wanted to join the Pridelands. Sure, it would be a big group, but it was the closest thing and she needed a place to stay. There would be lions who would defend her, help her if she was sick.. She didn't want to be alone like this, only meeting a few lions eveyonce in a while.

Améh frowned, noting the slight apprehension that crossed the female’s face. “No, they’re not too far. We were there just a day ago- although we did not go too closely.” They had become something like gypsies, the two of them. Although she had heard rather wonderful things about Mufasa, she was somewhat apprehensive about settling down there. It certainly was her intention, however, to find a place to cool the feet someday.

“If you are hungry though– shouldn’t you eat before going?” It panged her heart to think of the black lioness going hungry. “I can’t hunt. At all, really- but Phib can.” Behind her, he docked an ear and simply glanced away. But otherwise, he didn’t give much objection.

“Then I can point you in the right direction, yes?”

Isi smiled in relief. "Oh, okay then. I can probably make it by tommorrow morning if I start traveling soon.." She mused, mostly to herself. "Why didn't you get to close?" Her round face tilted slightly, wondering why the didn't go nearer if Mufasa was supposed to be nice. The lioness got to her paws, stretching.

"Oh, no, I'll be fine!" Isi said quickly, not wanting to take advantage to these two's hospitality. "Thanks for the offer, but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find a rabbit or two on the way." Améh was a bit wierd.. She didn't hunt?

"Oh yes, That would be nice." The lioness said, having forgotten the previous directions.

Améh shifted, her face pulling into a slight wince. It was times like these when the small creature felt suddenly alienated. Was it sensed, perhaps? Or just a coincidence? Another god might have wondered why she cared. And sometimes she might have poised the question to herself. “Oh- yes, alright.” She nodded, her ears shifting. “Well we had no ties to the pride, and with no formal introductions or wishes to stay, it didn’t seem right to just... drop by?”

The words were unfamiliar on her tongue in their articulateness. And there was a reason- it was a regurgitated response Phib might have given. Simple and diplomatic- and he recognized his handiwork. Although why Améh had suddenly started grasping for words he’d used, the old male wasn’t quite sure. But he took it as a cue that she was faltering, and he rose up onto the balls of his feet.

He really was getting too old and bitter.

“It’s about a day’s walk from here, if you follow the sun’s path. Two if you don’t cross the river, but it’s fairly shallow this time of year.” The male spoke. From beside him, the small female nodded in reply, her wide blue eyes shifting with an almost unlion-like whim.

Isi frowned slightly, looking at the lioness wince, but decided it was nothing. "Okay, then." She grinned, happy to be on her way again. Isi liked to talk to others, but travel had always been a treat for her. "Oh, okay. So.. Uhmm.." Was she not allowed to go? "I'm pretty sure they'll let me drop by.." The lioness, mumbled, reassuring herself.

Isi smiled as Phib rose. He had such a nice mane. It was a little tangly, but still. "Thanks!" She followed his directions, making a little mental map in her mind. That river. She could see it, far in the distance, but still.

"Yeah.. I should probably be heading out, now. I want to get their soon, I think.." Isi pondered this for a minute. Why did she want to get thier? Soon? She just.. felt like she should be there. Her shoulders rolled back in a little shrug. "Thankyou, Améh and Phib. I had a nice time!" The lioness nuzzled Améh lightly, happy to have added a friend to her friend list. "Maybe I'll see you again?" The lioness grinned hopefully.

"Anyways.. Bye!" Isi grinned and bounded off, towards the river, with a backwards glance to the two.
