Diplomacy: Neutral but supports Shinsengumi (meaning he doesn't hate Meiji)
Style of Fighting: Hiroi Sento Yoshiki (litteraly: extensive warfare style) Giant combination of moves crammed together into one style consisting mostly of Ninjutsu, Bushido, Ju-Jutsu, Kobudo, Shintaido, Kyudo, Judo, Tanto Jutsu and a Hiten no Mitsurugi ryu/Iaido crossbreed ( xp )
Special Ability: Combat Specialist. Can use almost every skind of weapon ranging from Ama goi ken to Yoribo. Also is a stratagy genius.
Appearance:
Wears: Black Kimono, Hand/Feet Wraps, Sandals,
Weapons: Red Katana and Red Wakizashi, Carries four kunais and a dozen shuriken.
Physical: Long white hair(like my avi but a bit longer), clouded blue eyes, 6ft, 167 pounds, well-built.
Personality: Very quiet and keeps to himself. Very often likes to be among the stars in tall treetops. Very wise, searching for a point to life kind-of guy. Compassionate and aids people in times of need without taking rewards.
Description: Comes from an ancient bloodline family, the Yamato Clan (OOC - i'm actually a part of Yamato Clan myself). Has traveled around the world. Fluent in english, japanese and french.
History: Has trained in the Yamato Dojo in Kofu since he was 2. Parents killed in a battle from Ronin Samurai. Carries on the style of his family. Now is a traveler, helping the people get by during this cold era on Nihon history.
NOTE: I will make my character say a few lines of japanese at times. Don't worry they won't be too complicated... sweatdrop

Name: Nakashima Yumi
Age: 24
Side: Shinsengumi
Style of fighting: Yumi has developed a very complex and difficult technique using two katanas. Since she is very agile she can get into very strange positions then attacking the opponent from these positions, this means it'll be hard for the opponent to counter because she's attacking from an very unusual angle.
Special abilities: After a lot of training Yumi is able to bend and twist herself into strange angles. She is also extremely quiet because she's so light. She maybe doesn't have the same speed and strenght as a man, but in stead, she's become very good at seeing the weak points on things/people. Also because she looses when it comes to speed and strenght she's trained on getting her footwork perfect, now she has very sensitive feet which makes it possible for her to for example jump up on extremely thin poles.
Appearance: Mostly wears mens clothing because she usually has to hide that she in fact is a woman. She has long black hair and greyish green eyes. She is also very thin and tall (if you compare her to other women).
Personality: A lone wolf, mostly because she all the time has to hide the fact that she's a woman. But when she doesn't have to hide the fact anymore, she is a very friendly and calm person. However she never really trusts anyone.
Description: The fact that she nearly always has to hide her true identity has makes it nearly impossible for Yumi to do much. Tryin to look as little as possible like a woman has becoma a strange obsession of hers. She absolutely hates washing off blood stains from her clothes, in fact, she tries to avoid blood as much as possible, still this doesn't stop her from killing. Her hatred towards blood has developed the habit that she always burns the clothes that have blood stains on them.
Already as a small child her parents had started dressing her like a boy to protect her. At an young age she started training kendo, but as she grew older, she realized kendo was only stopping her from getting better. Soon after realizing this she started learning more about other fighting styles and doing more physical training. A few years after this she fought against an older boy, the boy managed to breake her katana. the event made her ponder how she could avoid something like this in the future and the idea of using two swords in stead of just one came. Some more years passed by before she had mastered the ability of using two swrods, which turned out to be very hard because of the lenght of the katanas.
History: Yumi has really never cared about which side she supports in the war. The only thing she does care about is to make the war stop and the only way she can see an ending to it is by destroying either the Shinsengumi or the Meiji. Since Yumi had lived a perfectly good life before the revolution and was scared that the change would mean she could never go back to her old carefree lifestyle, she decided to fight on the Shinsengumis side. Another reason was also the fact that the Shinsengumi pays her a lot, which of course, is a very important fact.
Now I made a Shinsengumi character, just to help you guys out xd But I don't really know that much about the whole revolution, which means I don't know much about what exactly the Meiji and Shinsengumi were fighting for (even though I've seen Kenshin)... that was the main reason I didn't make a character earlier. But now we can start RPing right?

Yes we can and for those of you like Mou here is a brief description of the revolution and things surrounding it.
The Revolution came about because this was the time Japan was about to open up to the world. It was the time of change when you had those who wished to open for trade and to move forward in technology and such, The Meiji, and those who wished to fight for the style and life of old, The Shensengumi. These two sides fought for a long time to make their wish become the victorious one. Each side had skilled warriors and plenty of power. The Meiji though had the power of guns, although they weren't very accurate at all and most capable samurai of the time were able to dodge the bullets more or less. In the end obviously the Meiji won but this takes place in the middle of it all as whatever you may be trying to win for your side and putting everything on the line so that your wishes will come true and everything will be better in the end. Over the years hundreds if not thousands of battles had been like this but this would be the final revolution to change the way of life forever in Japan. The Shensengumi fought in packs and groups to kill the 'Patriots', leaders of the Meiji, and the Meiji fought the wars to win them over fully. Both sides have equally good views and morals, although the leaders may not. So don't feel like you have to be evil as a Shensengumi. Both sides had their evils and both sides had their goods. Personally I like both and think they were both good sides. Hope more will join but since we do have people from both sides we can rp now ^.^ just try not to kill each other remember although it can happen and if it does even on accident just make up another char who wants revenge or something. Hope we'll have a good time in this rp and let's start!

Okay, thank you for that bit of information Chaos, even though most of it actually wasn't that new to me... it just confirmed that I've understood it all along even though I was a bit unsure.
I hope some other people will join, so that we won't be this few. But maybe some will later on.
I'm ready to go, but I'm only able to get online again on Sunday, so see you then. Besides since we're on different times it doesn't matter yet if you start without me, right?

Chaos sat silently with his katana leaning on him as he slowly looked on at the water near him. He was examining it...not for poison but because he was deep in thought. His master had taught him of how to save others and keep them alive...but was this what he wished? Chaos didn't know and he wished he did wanting to do only what was right. He didn't understand that both sides had an equal arguement in this revolution and neither was evil...this he was slowly learning but didn't quite understand yet. His water was mostly empty when a maid came and filled it back up for him. He watched on the water swirling within itself trying to get to the top before she stopped. After a few moments it settled and he nodded slowly. "Thank you..." His eyes never left his drink...and hardly seemed to even breath now. He sighed softly and then rose putting his blade and sheath back to its' resting place and nodded to her. "Thank you again..." He turned and walked from the bar toward the street pulling his straw hat over his face slightly as he slowly began to walk standing only about 5'8" and weighing around 120 or less. Hired as a killer and breed to protect...his path was split and destroying who he was in purity...he didn't understand this and wished he could but didn't know if he would.

Kira's clouded blue eyes were closed as he sat on the back of a moving haycart going south towards Edo. His swords laying beside him, he hummed a little tune as he lay back in the dry hay. The clear blue sky and the shining sun were ever present on this beautiful day. The driver of the cart, led by two fully grown mares, was an old man sporting peasent's clothes. The road they were on was surrounded by acres and acres of farmland. People, pantlegs rolled up, walked through the water filled fields, checking their crops for twas' the time of collecting their hard work. The road made of spread rocks and mixed cement, crumbled slightly under the weight of the cart. As Kira opened his eyes, he got up very slowly and turned to the driver.
-Ahh, o-jii-san, i will walk from here. I must check up on something in the region. Thank you much for the ride all the way from Urawa...
Kira grabbed his swords, placed them in his belt and hopped off. He bowed to the old man who returned it with a wave of his hand, without looking back. Kira made a noble figure as he stood on the path watching the man ride off around the far-off corner.
-Hum...well i'd best be on my way quickly if i'm to get to the dojo and to Edo in time.
Kira put his left hand on his swords and took one step back. Then with a huge thrust of his body, he ran down the path into a nearby forest heading to a group of hills. The peasents hardly noticed him.

Yumi was sitting in front of the mirror, carefully combing her hair and humming quietly. She was getting ready to go out and meet Yojimbo, her superior, who had sent her a small note early in the morning telling her to buy him some flowers. Of course, this was only a code message, what he really meant was that Yumi should meet him at the nearby ramen bar called Sakura (named after the owner).
Under the big blue Yukata Yumi had hidden her other katana, an old habbit of hers since carrying two katanas at the same time wasn't really what you usually saw on the streets. When stepping out into the busy street Yumi lifted her scarf over her nose and put her straw hat on. Zig-zaging through the croud she finally arrived at the ramen bar and sat down. 10 minutes later someone tapped her on the shoulder. "Buy me some..." Yumi waited. "Flowers." the other person answered. Yumi relaxed again. "Long time no see, Yojimbo."
((Yes, we should maybe decide where we all are? Makes it a bit easier sweatdrop ))
