But it causes tempation which makes it sin. Because it's far worse for the person who caused the other stumble. So if me wearing skimpy clothes causes some guy to fall into tempation, that will be on my head. The same way Paul said if you eat meat worshipped to the idols and gods and find nothing wrong with it but some new Christian who does sees it even thinking it is wrong, sinned. I can't remember the exact scripture or anything but it proved validate points.

David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might, 15 while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouts and the sound of trumpets.
I think a linen ephod in those days it was probably his underwear which in our day might be the termed as the thong. That's a good point.

Samuel Chester I think you should dress well for church. Not necessarily a tux or suit. I don't think you should wear your everyday clothes. We dress up for weddings - so why not for God? There is such a thing as second hand stores and you can get nice clothes that are not going to break the bank. I think there is a problem for example when most teenage girls at church are dressed like Brittany Spears and their thong underwear is showing above their skirts or pants. Matthew 22:11-13 (NIV) 11"But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless. 13"Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' what makes church so special? its a place of worship and to surround ourselfs with other christians, but why dress up for God just one or two days a week for church when hes with us everyday? Why not live evryday and dress appropraitely everyday for god?

I agree we should dress appropriately for God everyday, but there's something to special occasions that I like to put a little extra into and that's just me. Going to church is a special occasion for me and that's me.
