[Spanner] s**t sweatdrop
I got the Behringer 450watt Bass amp for Christmas.
I hope it doesn't die on me. Kind of worried now, reading all the comments above.
Heh, you'll be okay, just don't be rough on it or try to play through it or anything xd . It'll be fine, just don't push it to it's limit, that's bad for any amp.

NOTE: Break it in first, too many times people crank it up for the test run and screw up the amp for good. Keep it low for a while and get louder as you go. Just like a stereo.

Autobahn you can get 1000 watt behringers for cheap, but the reason why they're so cheap is because they suck a** and fall apart. Yeah basically what I was gonna say. There horrible.

anything Behringer wont last more than a few years. That brand has some nice stuff, but it all falls apart in no time, and you would be better off buying a new one. My band has had a Behringer soundboard for about a year, and that thing fell apart sitting overnight. I have had a lot of bad experiances with this brand, dont bother.

I could do it possibly... Maybe a 15 and a 4x10...

From what I have seen the Mesa is really good for tone. I have only heard a guitar rig (actually my band used it in the studio). I found the guitar amp to be best for studio work, but that ampeq's power was pretty impressive, and I liked the tone I got.

i got a Hartke 250watt 15'combo, i'm looking for an Uprade for something more powerful, cos i like power, but i need a better bass first cos the Hartke is Actually Really good, we had a gig at school and they used it over someones 500 watt Carvin head and 4x10 Speaker, i called them idiots, but i liked listening to it, it wasnt as Round and Mellow as the Carvin, whenever her uses it you dont hear any Attack at all, i think he puts the Sub Bass all up or seomthing, i dont know, but yeh
Hartke! really good for its price, not the best not the but very Affordable, theres a 4x10 Cabinet in a Music Store for $500 AUS, i think they sold it though... man, i wanted that, but anyway i need a new bass first

Yeah, the SVT4 has the highest power rating of just about any amp on the market, I've just never been a huge fan of Ampeg tone, Mesa's done it for me though, and there a close second between Eden and Aguilar.
