"Don't you have, like, a lot of family fighting and stuff?" He was comparing his close family to that of Ari's, and jumped to the conclusion that they'd be similar because of the blood relation. He was young yet, and jumping to conclusions was what he was best at (aside from flirting).
"I don't know... anything. No one's tried to teach me." Sad little red eyes peered up at his grandmother, begging her to take pity on the young juvenile who knew nothing about hunting. Of course, a distraction came before Ezeoha really could be taught a thing.
Ezeoha found his way underneath his grandmother, sticking himself between her two front legs. She would be his protection, until he decided to run away before he became tempted to try and hurt his own father. "She is hanging out with me, 'cause you never do!" Right away Ezeoha just had to try and stir up trouble. In fact, Ari had been on the search for Denahi, but Ezeoha would let her explain that.

Ari shook her head. "No fighting, not since Denahi left that is." The female smiled, giving her son a glance. As Ezeoha made his way inbetween her front legs, she gave Denahi another look. At her grandson's words, she nudged him to hush.
"I came to tell you about your daughter. She's in the Kusini lands...and she arrived their injured." Ari said firmly. "I am suprised you haven't gone out looking for her."
Denahi rolled his eyes. "My daughter is old enough to care for herself." The father stated, growling at Ezeoha. "Don't you know you're not suppose to talk to strangers?!" He hissed, stalking up to his mother and grandson, glaring at both of them. "You shouldn't be here mother."

"Well, he just transfered all the fighting over here." Ezeoha told his grandmother, grunting as he was given a nudge. He thought it was just by accident, and didn't manage to catch the hint to shut up. In fact, he glared defiantly at his father, feeling all strong and mighty with his grandmother right beside him.
The juvenile flinched a little as Denahi growled at him, and moved further back to keep what he considered a safe distance between himself and his father. "No, you never taught me that either." He hissed out at his father, ready to stand up for himself and for his grandmother. "You shouldn't be so," the next few words are rather censored, "moody!"

Ari shook her head. Figures her eldest son would bring trouble with him.
"Why not, /son/?" She matched his tone, giving the oldest a lethal glare. "I just came to tell you about your d.."
Denahi jumped towards her. "You did not!" He cut her off. "You came to scold me like you ALWAYS did!" His words became louder towards the end. "What do you want to complain to me about this time? Don't like the way I raise my kids? Don't like how I left your slut daughter?" Denahi's lips curled up.
"Don't you /dare/ speak to me like that Denahi." Ari growled, tail thrashing cause of her son. "I am your mother, and do NOT deserve the words you share to me." She hissed, eyes softening as she looked down at Ezeoha.

Ezeoha cried out, pressing himself tightly against his grandmother's legs as Denahi jumped forward. This was worse than the time Ezeoha had confronted Denahi on his own. This monster could not possibly be his father! Ezeoha had not many mean bones in his body, but Denahi /was/ mean-ness in its entirety. Once again, Ezeoha found himself afraid of the lion that had sired him.
His eyes were wide with fear, and his tiny body began to tremble. He was a cub again, frightened. "Go 'way!" His voice slipped, no longer so crisp and clear, no longer properly pronounced. Fear was taking over him, and he desperately wanted to flee.

"Get over here Ezeoha." Denahi growled. "Get away from her." He stook another step forward, almost nose to nose with the one who brought him up. Twin blue eyes gazed hatefully at eachother. "Get out of here Mother." He growled again, this time, his claws unsheathing. He wasn't think it, was he?
Ari's eyes defaulted to Denahi's claws as she backed up slightly, dragging her grandson with her. "You're attitude will get you killed, Denahi." She said softly, not wanting to fight with her son. She was too old, and too fragile to attempt something against a much stronger being. "Come on, Eze." The Kusini queen said, eyes content on her son. "Your father needs a little more /alone/ time.

He was so scared that he almost obeyed his father's commands, and if he had taken more than one step forward it would've been the first time he had listened to his father. But, he stopped himself, realizing what he was doing, and hugged himself closer to Ari. Compared to Ari, Denahi was the villian, in fact, compared to anyone, Denahi was still the villian. It was Ezeoha's common sense kicking in, and he stuck to the good girl in the situation.
He was pressed backwards by his grandmother, and if she had not done so he probably would not have moved. No longer did he want to be in the same lands as his father. Before he thought he'd be able to avoid Denahi, but now it seemed like he would not. Any meeting between his father and himself would be disasterous. "We don't have to see him ever again?" He asked softly, afraid of what Denahi would do if he heard those words.

Ari shook her head as Denahi seemed to grump off. "No..." She said, although her words were a bit shaky. "Come on, let's...get you home." The female said. At least Ez's mother would protect him from Denahi right? "I...I need to head back to my lands. Tell your grandfather what has become of our son..." The female said, licking at Ezeoha's forehead like she would if he was her own son.

Ezeoha was still shaking a little, but he seemed to calm down when Ari reassured him that he never had to see his father again. He pulled out from underneath her, smiling a little as his forehead received a tender lick. "Oh... I'd rather not go home. I can walk a little ways with you and then meet up with some of my friends." Oh, he hoped she would not find that he also had a bit of a rough relationship with his mother. They did not dislike each other, but Ezeoha just didn't spend enough time with her to really get to love her. "Bye, then?" She was going to leave him, but Ezeoha would handle it. He'd probably see her again, one day, wouldn't he? So, everything was going to be alright, and he'd wait for her to return, or one day seek her out himself, even.
