Melody's eyes followed the others gaze to stare interestedly at the squirrel, which didn't seem to notice all his 'fans'. "So," she continued, trying to make conversation but dropping it to a whisper so as not to scare the rodent, "When did you get Evelyn?"
Mereneth's crawl stopped when he was almost near the squirrel. Peering at it through his bangs, his eyes explored the furry thing on it. Out of curiosity, he reached a hand out to grab the tail, well actually, just stroke it.

[Just for the sake of finishing this.]
Ocean reluctantly finished off her sandwich and stated, "I'm afraid we have to go home. It's getting late."
She waved goodbye to Melody and pat Mere on the head before puling Evelyn away by the hand and walking back home.
