I have wanted to see that for the longest time, but i don't think it ever came to Canada, and i don't want to buy a bootleg. It sounds good though.

I finally saw this movie tonight. I didn't find it to be as great as I thought it would be. The whole last hour or so made no sense. I found it confusing since I couldn't tell what was reality and what was fake. The movie also moved way too slow in my opinion.
Overall, I thought that it really wasn't that great. If you want to see a movie about an obsessive woman, watch Misery.

If you want to see a movie about an obsessive woman, watch Misery. Yeah. I guess it freaks you out more if your a dude. I can't think of anything that I'd hate more that being unwillingly dominated by someone I trusted and having my feet cut off.

I'm fairly certain DVD's in both the United States and Canada have the same region code. Why not head to Amazon and order a DVD from the States if you cannot find it in a foreign film section at the video store?

If you want to see a movie about an obsessive woman, watch Misery. See, Misery is good for obsessive, but not for horror. The only part that freaked me out was when she busted the writer's ankles with the block of wood and hammer...that scene is burned in my head.

When i watched this movie I seriously couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. I loved the story where you can't wuite tell what is reality and what is fantasy and the whole movie leads up to the last 15 minutes of the movie which were so frigging disturbing I could barely watch. The Japanese (and Asian horror in general) really have an excellent grasp on making women and children scary. She looks so soft and young and innocent and then WHAM! She's sticking needles in his eyes and such! It's a movie I would definitely own but i don't think I could ever watch it @ night again lol

kingpanther Vinessa_Valentine Well... the movie IS from Japan... home of the feudal era honor suicides... And tentacle-rape... and seizure inducing anime... So I beleived that the movie IS something normal of a slasher flick in Japan. Is it worse than Saw , I watched that one, I think I would like to see the Audition I can't imagine Saw possibly being worse. My friend who only saw part of Audition thinks it was much worse than Saw. Anyways, it was a great movie. I watched it by myself at night. I personally thougth it was scarier than Misery, I don't really think it was better storywise. Though it makes you a lot more wary than Misery does.

The Essence of Evil I personally thougth it was scarier than Misery, I don't really think it was better storywise. Though it makes you a lot more wary than Misery does. The only reason Audition is more unsettling than Misery is because the notorious torture scene is longer in Audition.

The split second and Misery was more shocking than any given second in Audition. Overall though, the razorwire and the needles hurt me more to think about that the hammer.

Of course. Ankles will heal, but a severed leg is staying the way it is.
......Though in the novel, I'm pretty sure Paul Sheldon's number one fan attacked him with an ax.
