Funny, when I read it, it kind of made me laugh. Did the user really say such things? It just seemed random and as if the person didn't want to be taken seriously >.< but these kind of people have issues
But I'm curious, how do you guild mods choose who gets in the guild and who doesn't?

I wish she was joking. She was quite serious about the whole thing.

When you send in a request to join a Guild, you basically write in why in the box provided. Guild mods are able to go in via the mod panel and check the requests and either click "accept" or "decline". Either way, a PM is sent to the user (unless they have their PMs set to Friends Only which is just stupid) telling them whether they are in or not. It's been a while, so I'm not sure if the mod who declines you has their name in the PM. Which I think is a bit cruel because then we are subject to being yelled at.

But the yelling is harassment right? Or is it if they keep going?

Depending on what they say initially it can be. But it always if they continue whether or not one responds to them.

Either way, it was uncalled for, and it really wasn't a very smart move on her part.

Definately uncalled for. And rather immature.
It was kind of funny to the outside ear, but still, a bit much if it was you getting yelled at, Rogue.
And, having known some of these people, I'm, 99% sure this person took herself seriously.
N00bs with tantrums. Oh joyest of all joys.

It's also rather confusing to log on after a somewhat extended absense and have that greet you in your inbox. Unromantic_Phantom Captain Rose TalentlessMuse Captain Rose HOW DARE YOU REJECT ME!!! YOU SHALL CURSE THE DAY U DID NOT DO ALL THE PHANTOM ASKED OF YOU!!!! DAMN U LITTLE PARDORA!!!!! I SAID DAMN YOU!!!!! twisted twisted ... ... ...Wha...? YOUR GUILD REJECTED ME AND I LOVE PHANTOM!!! ... stare ...that's your justification for screaming at me? I absolutely *love* it when they insist on always using caps lock. She hasn't responded to me since, but that's fine for me. I have enough idiots to deal with in real life that I don't need to waste my time with them on the internet too.

They're amusing from a distance, but when you actually have to deal with them? Then it gets tiresome. Very. Quickly.
At least she got bored with the whole thing.
Wait...was this a forum or a PM? Since it looks a little bit like it was from a forum.

Nah, it was a PM.
I'd like to think she got bored with it. I know I did.

I know that being yelled at is no laughing manner, I get that a lot, but the manner the person said it was an irreasonable retort for being denied. I wasn't laughing like rolling on the floor, it was more of an amused chuckle. Just wanted to point out what I meant by laughing.
Anyway it can't be helped if people are too sensitive and respond that way. Ignoring them could be the next solution.

I think it's funny (sadly so) that people are willing to make such a big deal out of being rejected for guild membership. Maybe I'm thinking too rationally, but I just can't see any reason to get so worked up over something like that.

Honestly, I can see being angry about that as some people get angry when they don't have enough pixellated items, etc. But honestly, I think whoever rejected her in the first place was right to do so. I mean, does anyone honestly want people like her disturbing the order and peace that we have going on here?
I guess it depends on the case. In this particular one, I don't think you're being too rational. I think we can all see and understand why she was rejected in the first place.
But, yes, getting worked up like that is stupid. If I wanted to get in that desperately, I would calmly ask why I was rejected, what was required of me (if I wasn't sure, which, in a case where I'd actually have to ask, I wouldn't be) and the like.
I mean, is it that hard to deal with the matter in a calm, rational way? It's far more likely that you'll get the results you want that way, anyhow.
