We could always use more gangster action. xD
With prohibition, that was pretty interesting. Gangs, bootleggers, and speakeasies.
I looked up Al Capone and some other things in Wikipedia, just to get some names. And there was the 'National Crime Syndicate' in the 30s. Heard about it before, but forgot it had a name. :0
Syndicate is a good word and might be nice to use in a name.

Flynn_MacCallister Hey, Bugsy Malone's that film made in the seventies with the kids as the gangsters, right? Hell yeahz! xD I used to love that film and watch it religiously every week. Lol. With the bicycle powered cars and the guns that shot out pie stuff! Ehehehe And yeah, Syndicate sounds le cool too. EDIT: Just an afterthought (you can tell I've been eating tic tacs) how about Syndicate Society, or the S.S. xD ANOTHER EDIT: Syndicate Society for Roleplayers. The S.S.R. Not that I've really been around long enough to know what you people all like and...stuff, so I'm not going to offer any suggestions on a name. BUT I can make banners and such once you decide on one ^^. A sample would be on my profile, if you care to look.

As for the name, another voice is always welcome. The change is intended in a large part to make the guild look snazzier and more inviting to outsiders (in order to up recruitment), and to do that it needs to appeal fairly generally to the psuedo-demographic of literate roleplayers on Gaia.
Hmm... also, who thinks I should get a tail? They seem to have become something of a requirement for froodiness of late.
Well, almost. I mean, I guess Yun doesn't have a tail...

On the subject of a name, I'm not sure the that the society thing would bring in more members, it seems sort of...exclusionary, or something. It could still work though, as long as the rest of the name is nice and welcoming sounding. Or maybe I'm wrong, who knows =P

What, like the Society for the Protection of Fluffy Baby Yellow-Footed Rock Wallabies, Literate Roleplayers, and Other Miscellaneous Endangered Species?
Mmmm... I think it might be too long, though.
So, Society is hovering in the grey, along with Syndicate... I personally like Bureau of Literate and Roleplaying Affairs, although I'm afraid it might be a little (read: a lot) dry.
Faction feels too political, school seems too common, Trenchcoats was just a joke anyway...
This was never meant to be quite so difficult. >.<;;;;
