Danny just has an amazing style. He's one of those drummers that you know he really FEELS everything he plays, and he's so original. He's the heart of the band, him and the bassist. I don't caer how hard they try, no one can copy him.

Listened to the two different bands (Tool and APC), it's almost sometimes like Josh really isn't all that involved. Yes, he's an excellent drummer, probably one of my favorites, but when you want to go for his abilities in the band itself... meh. Danny works a lot better with Tool.

SenorDiablo hahaha ok but you KNOW it could just get you laughed at or hit...but as long as you know that, use it and lemme know! haha i really have not been in the right situation to use it correctly yet,but i said it to hanna(as she was juggoling three ball's and balancing a salad on her head infront of a crowd of people on the pearl street mall.......and selling....glass ninja )well when she was done with that,she said it was cute.....yup.....it's cute man... 3nodding

Lets throw Jerome Dylan into the mix as well, what do people make of him? Personally having seen him live it was pretty obvious how hard he works, and he's defintely really talented. Even so he was playing pretty regular beats with NIN, whereas yuo have to take into account the constantly shifting rhythm of Tool's music when comparing anyone to Carey. The fact that he's rarely playing a steady beat just adds to his awesomeness.

Danny Carey with his 4 way coordination and complex rhythms but Josh is really good too. I would like to hear them in a drum off. smile
