I think its good to have gay chars in video games. Especially as an option to play as one, or some such. Gay people deserve a little more openess. If more gay chars were in Video Games more kids these days would be accepting because kids are greatly influenced by those games.

While these aren't exactly "gay video games" (as most characters are straight), but Final Fantasy VIII's Zell Dincht is, according to those who wrote the script, gay, and Final Fantasy X/X-2's Rikku is bisexual and was in love with Paine. I just thought to add that, since no one else mentioned it.

RMarques In the games The Sims and The Sims 2 (and their expansion packs), you could have gay characters and families. However, with a few restrictions compared to the straight couples. In the Sims 1, gay couples could just ask eachother to move in, no union of any kind. They got a phone call to adopt a baby in every blue moon. In The Sims 2, gay couples have a civil union, and adopt as often as they want, as long as they fit the finantial criteria and the number of people in the house is under seven.
As soon as I saw this thread title, I thought of the Sims. xD
I play on RO servers with my PC & on some servers, you can be a same-gender couple & get married. EVEN ADOPT !
Now that's schweet.

lol that is really awesome. On the server I played on you couldn't get married to the same gender. sweatdrop I heard that you could do that on one of the servers, but which one is it? Also Bridget is HAWT!

I can't believe almost no one knows or has mentioned any Yaoi games! They do exist you know! For example Enzai is a yaoi game for pc about a young boy who is sent to jail after being acused of muder. They story unfolds as the boy tries to leave the prison and find out who really killed the person and why was he framed. Along the way he encounters many people in the prison for who he develops a strange relationship may it be emotional or just physical.
