"I need help with my field and maybe you, and Jo," Elle glanced back at Jo, "...could help me decide what plants to put there? Or how to deal with wild blackberries?"
Okay, so she was partly avoiding the subject of the 'first kiss'. And the way part of her wanted to try that again, or something like it. But that was okay. She really did want to figure out what to do about her field.

We'd love to! Luna answered, a bit TOO quickly. Er... if Jokeph doesn't mind?
Jokeph eyed Luna with more than just a little understanding. He nodded his head once, and then quickened his pace so that the outline of his hands were visible in the night.
Sign. Sign. Sign.
And then a nod from Luna.
With a nod of acknowledgement from Jokeph, he quickened his pace once more, passing the two girls until he was several paces ahead of them.
He asked if he should go on ahead, Luna explained. In case I felt uncomfortable with him watching us.

Elle was glad that Jo didn't mind, because she knew that Luna came with Jo. That was competely fine by her, she had some understanding of that. Elle had been reading up on things to do with bonds...
"That's nice of him." Elle said softly. She stared sideways at Luna again, and asked, "And um... did your mum ever figure out why the tinfoil was all gone?"

No... Luna fidgeted with her braid a bit more. I hope she doesn't ask. I... well... she knows I can't lie to her, and... and I don't want to.

"Oh. Okay." Elle fiddled with the tail some more, before letting it drop back to her side.
She glanced sideways at Luna, lost again. Her twitchy tail went back to swishing around, accidently slapping Luna on the butt. Then it was away again, as if it had a mind of it's own.

"ERRRRRRK!" Luna immediately blurted out, leaping as if she had been stung.

If Luna's thoughts had been put into words, they would've run something like "somethingtouchedmybuttwasityouyesitwasnotthatI'mmadbutaskpermissionbut
maybeit'snotyourfaultsoI'mnotholdingitagainstyoureallywhatwasthatanyway?!"
Mercifully, the projections weren't words, but a general aura of surprise.

Elle blinked, and peered back at her twitching tail. It went 'whack!' softly again, and she went bright red.
"Oh! That's my tail! Um..." She tried to grab hold of it, and clung to it tight.

Luna wasn't offended in the slightest; it was just... really really... awkward! She didn't know what to do, she didn't know what to say... and all she could do was hold a hand that was suddenly feeling more and more like it was electrically charged.
...She vaguely wondered if Boyan had this much trouble when he was "her age".

Elle was starting to feel like they were just being silly. With a quick glance around... she tugged Luna off the path for a moment and kissed Luna very quickly on the lips.
Maybe that'd help?

Well, it certainly helped in that Luna's thoughts had suddenly gone completely quiet.
