Cutting back a bit, working on quests

Well, double exp is all through. Going to cut back on my Maple time a bit since I was actually losing a good deal of sleep trying to level during preview. Now leveling is going to go much more slowly... Mostly putzing around and working on my quests with Yoru, and occasionally going on Hoshi and Tsuki to get them some exp. Gotta hunt me some leaves, jr neckis, octo legs, and maybe more horney shrooms. Oh, would someone in ant tunnel mind grabbing me a salad? Also I'd appreciate a bunch of evil eye tails, going to be a bit before I can kill those with any effectiveness.
I don't really plan on going to Ossyria until I'm high enough level to have explored the rest of Victoria, or at least more of it. There's still a good number of places I've never been, so there's still stuff that's new to me here.

My first PQ with strangers...

Well, I really wanted to get a PQ in, so I wasted an hour and a half getting into one last night. I notice that even though it says 'no AC allowed' in the scrolly admin message, most people still use it. First party I joined the girl just left AC on and we had no tracks. Eventually one person left and she disappeared. xp Second party was better. Took a bit of reforming, and MS kept booting me right before we got in, but eventually we got on a channel with about nobody there. First time through, by glitch there were no curse eyes so we couldn't get to the bonus stage! Finally got in a second time, and I got 100 blue MP pots (oh joy stare ) I think that was my worst party prize yet. Will pass em to my mage though. The party leader at that point was unfortunately rather loot-happy, he kept picking up my drops in bonus stage and almost getting killed while doing almost not work till I moved up to a higher platform. Plus someone found a mage hat and he took it! I wouldn't have cared so much, but I needed the horny mushie tops for my quest, and of course I didn't get enough. No good drops for me. We also got kicked out of bonus early because he disbanded the party right after he snagged the hat. So at least most of the people in the party were decently nice, but not worth the hours of trying to get in and keep in a party where people don't just bugger off if its taking too long. I kinda suspect MS boots you if you're doing /find too much, because that was what seemed to be happening to me, all of a sudden /find would quit working and I'd get booted right after.
So still working on getting horny mushie tops, and still need a ton of jr. necki skins.

Some more Maple Story

Havn't been playing a whole lot over the last couple days, but got my two side characters up to 90% so they should both level next time I play them for more than 5min to transfer stuff. Dumped some more ores on my warrior, I'm actually starting to get a fair collection. Worked with my archer for a while tonight, finally got enough horny mushie caps to finish that one Nella quest, and now I'm up to the one I need the Evil Eye tails for. I also finally got enough Jr. Necki skins for the security guy quest, but I'm still lacking a salad. What a pain that was, I'm glad I don't have to worry about hunting them again that I know of. The only other quest other than jump ones I have right now is Arwen's which will be sheer luck or not. I think a couple more open up at 30 though, I havn't done any of those before but they're probably going to be really hard.
I'm only at about 70% so still have a good bit of fighting to do before I level crying Level 30.... so close and yet so far. At least I'll finally be passing my beta character. I'm a bit nervous about doing the 2nd job exam, I don't know what its like or what you end up fighting for the dark orbs. Do you get teleported to some spot, and is it the same for all classes, or what?
Oh yeah, and the other night a Jr. Necki dropped a Brown Piterra bottom which made me happy, I originally had found the male version of them. I still have them but will probably NPC them soon if nobody wants them since they're good money and I'm starting to run low on space because I've been keeping some of my favorite old stuff for fun. I dressed up and took some new screenshots so I'll have to add those. I can't wait for lvl 30 equips so I don't look like mismatched crud, I'm still wearing a lvl 25 top with lvl 20 bottoms to save money since I'm so close to 30.
Randomly, I notice there are a good number of Jr. monsters but not all have adult versions.
Yay I finally have over 100k! That's so going towards a Red Viper. I should head to Ossy once I hit 30 to go price them, I'm not sure which bows are sold over there. I saw a lot of people with Ryudens but I'm not sure if you can buy them in a shop too?

First steps into the new world, and imminent invasion of the n00bs!

I wasn't planning on visiting Ossyria until after I got my second job, but I was talking to Emi and I found out the cost goes up from 3k to 5k at level 30 (does it keep going up the more you level?) and she needed some stuff I had so I figured I'd at least take a look even if I couldn't deal with most of the monsters. Ossyria is really pretty and angel-y! No balrog attacks for me there or back, which was probably for the best since I would have wanted a screenshot and probably died getting it, when I need that exp for my level. The ship ride was longer than I expected though, people either leave their character in a cabin or tend to just run around and act goofy. Got a guided tour to El Nath and back by two clerics (thank you Emi and your friend!) xd I should have poked around in El Nath to see what the shops had more but I didn't want to make them wait on me. Then we went to see the adorable little unicos! Awww! They make such sweet noises as you kill them too! I took a bunch of Ossy screenshots, I'll have to put up the better ones later on.
Ossy didn't seem too crowded, most people were only in certain places (I have a feeling that will change soon...). I stayed around to level a bit, but the only real effective thing I could kill was the jr. sentinels. I could take the little leatty fuzzballs but getting down to that part of the tower and back myself would cost me more in hp pots than it'd be worth. The jr. unicorns area just had too many running around without good spots to shoot from without them mobbing you, and they hurt pretty good and jump like heck! So eventually jr. sentinels got boring and I headed back to Victoria, they give good mesos and exp but it gets rather monotonous and I'd rather have some more variety. At least now I'm familiar with Ossyria since I crawled around the town and got to know it though I don't know El Nath well. There was a guy EckoArcher selling Ryudens- a 46atk one for 90k, and a 49atk one for 125k, and I was really tempted. I didn't have the money on me though, and I couldnt' get to storage in El Nath, so I had to pass. I'm not sure what the atk on the store ones is, but they're 150k so that would save me money. I originally was going to skip the Ryuden and save only for the Red Viper, which is 250k, because adding on equips to go with it at that level will be pretty costly (but hopefully I can buy a Red Viper off someone cheaper as well?). But should I give in and get a Ryuden? I could always still whisper him and ask if he still has them. I already have the main lvl 30 equips, and about 200k saved up.
Just when I thought it was going to be a night of no intersting drops, a green shroom dropped a Green Mattie (mage hat) for me! Won't be able to use it for a long while, but passed it to my mage, I think that's one of my favorite mage hats xd Shortly after, I think it was from a slime, I found a 10% scroll for bottomwear def as well, which I'll hold on to for a while and likely sell, I don't usually use scrolls. I also found a lvl 15 bow but I don't really count anything below lvl 20 as particularly interesting since I NPC it almost immediately if one of my other chars has no use for it.

So tomorrow the n00bs come... *tries to brace self* I'm getting sooooo close to lvl 30, I'm at 29 and 60%, so if I can get a decent hunting spot I should be able to level tonight and get my job advancement, and then I won't have to hang around anywhere in particular for a while 3nodding I guess after I get lvl 30 I'll spend more time around Sleepywood or more out of the way places, I havn't gotten this far before so I don't have leveling spots picked out this high yet.
I also can't wait to get up to lvl 35, I just really don't much like the looks of the archer armor between level 20-30, I think it only starts to get stylish again for lvl 35 and 40 so I'll be excited to be able to wear that stuff. Thank god its actually sold in stores now too! Still expensive, but at least a fixed price.

Whee lvl 30! And now Bera...

Well, I havn't quite noticed a flood of new people on yet. I can't quite believe registration will be open from now on, and who would want to go on Bera if they have other friends playing on Scania? I think the short notice and bugs on Bera have kept things from going too madly. I made a character on Bera, YumeKitsune, just to have access over there but dont' really plan on leveling her much, I only took her to lvl 4 and gave her warrior stats so I wouldn't have a hard time getting to 10. I also made another whole account, male this time, which I may or may not use. I'm kinda glad I made a Bera char since I hear now they're giving all Bera people 10k to compensate from having to wipe inventories and meso count due to bugs!
I also made it to lvl 30 with my bowman last night, whee! So happy to finally have a decent set of *matching* armor! And today I'm going to go work on getting that second job advancement, I can't wait since I've never gotten that far before! Going to stock up on pots and get a backup weapon in case I get mobbed a lot.
The other night found a lvl 35 F thief armor from a blue mushie, hanging on to that in case someone needs it or I can NPC it for money later in an emergency, so I passed it to my warrior.
I had a friend just join who wanted to play so I've been helping him out a bit. I also think one of my RL friends will be on soon too. 3nodding

Finally a Hunter, and onslaught of the n00bs, and of course the scammers come creeping out!

Yay finally went and took the test to be a Hunter, and got my job advancement, whee I'm so happy! A lot of those skills rock, I put my first point in fire bomb and get much glee from it though it doesn't do much damage, it impresses the hell out of n00bs LOL. That quest to get 30 dark marbles was a pain though, I was in a Ant Tunnel setting with easier evil eyes but harder zombie shrooms, was hard because it was mostly small platforms so easy for them to gang up on you. Plus about half the time they didnt' drop anything, and you don't get any exp or anything! You end up needing a lot of pots, but if you keep at it you'll persevere. Its so worth it. My HP and MP got another boost yay! HP went up about 300, MP went up about 200, and almost as importantly I got another row added to my etc. tab yay!
I talked a couple friends into joining, and decided to go over to Lith on channel 1 to check things out. Man the n00bs have really come en masse now! You have to dress like a n00b or get trade requested with meso begs every 5min anywhere around Lith or Henesys (or requests to level them up, or more likely both.) I randomly dropped some crap for fun, nothing good though a mage was randomly dropping ores and stuff. I'm nice sometimes, I try to drop red pots for n00bs but it really irritates me when they're like 'thx can you give me money?' Yeah I just saved your butt from dying, and now that's not good enough you need to beg for money? I'll help people get items, but I don't hand out mesos, I worked hard for mine and people need to realize they don't need to be buying a complete set of every level outfit and weapons, they need to be more thrifty.
I did see a very large party of high level chars with fish spears going around and being kinda crazy, so I was amused by that 3nodding I wish I had a fish spear, I would have joined them, but alas I've never found one and don't know what drops them. I took a couple screenshots of that and I'll put them up later.
I gave an AIM friend some low level stuff I happened to find from monster drops, and once some other people found out I gave him stuff they were like 'give us good items too!' I also had one guy trade request me about 10 times to ask different questions or beg, what a idiot. He tried to follow me a while too but I outdistanced him and he died.
Oh yes and I had a lovely scammer attempt! Ah they just get more and more creative, and love to come out for the n00bs. I was in lvl 10 bowman gear at Henesys Market, this dude must not have checked my level, cause he was like 'can I buy your shoes for my friend?' (he was a mage I think, or maybe it was a warrior.) I was like 'sure' since I only use em for dress up anyway so I thought I'd be nice and helpful, and sell them for sellback price to him. So he gets me to put the shoes in a trade, and is like 'to check the price I need you to press tab tab space enter really quick ok? Its this program I have' I was like 'wtf that's pretty weird. I'm just going to check the price in the store quick' which I did. He still insisted it so I figured I'd slowly see what it did, and lo if you press tab tab space it confirms the trade, so if you hit enter quick he'd get the item for free, since he of course didn't want to add anything yet! His name was robhimself I'm pretty sure, he even had the nerve to hang around even though I laughed at him and called him a scammer. I considered defaming him, I saw he was already at -21 fame so obviously he's been doing it to people for a bit, but one more negative fame wouldn' t make a difference and I would have possibly been defamed myself. I should have reported him though. I'll watch for the name and if I see him again I will. So don't get scammed people! If it smells fishy its probably rotten! Its really sad the number of times people have tried to scam me on Maple, I think I'm up to 4 now.
So going to work on my archer some more, probably will be around the boar areas or sleepywood if I get bored of them, or maybe even Ellinia. I'm debating whether its even worth going back on my other characters and competing with the flood of n00bs for exp. Both are on the verge of leveling so maybe I'll at least spend some time on my mage, I have interest in her though I pretty much just consider my warrior storage for now.
