The most books I have read in a month is anywhere from 20-30. Though, my biggest reading accomplishment in a month was reading fifteen 800-1000 page books. sweatdrop

I don't know.
Maybe 10-15 books. Of course, I read heavy fantasy, so take that into account, and I've learned to pace my reading a bit so I don't fall behind in schoolwork or become a hermit....
Excuses aplenty, -LD

Man you people are insane, I can read maybe 4 or 5 if I really like every book. That was when I had hours of freetime and no school work to do. I managed to read the Abhorsen Trilogy, an ooooooooold school D&D novel and another sci-fi book... Edenborn! Awesome book, but read the first one first, hehe, I still need to.

Excuses aplenty, -LD I read heavy fantasy as well. Take into a account, I am a hermit. The month I read the most was in the dead of winter last year while I was very sick. I couldn't attend school, and when I was not sleeping, I read (For many many hours of the day, might I add). sweatdrop By my self proclaimed new name, ~The Hermit

Although I am a dedicated reader and devote a lot of time to reading, I am not a fast reader. The most I've read in month would have to be...between 10-15.

Well one month last summer I read 53 books. This month...um...twenty-eight so far. I've read the Abhorsen trilogy twice and working on my third go-round. I've read every Harry Potter book up to date, and I'm waiting for the seventh, Harry Potter and the Dark Hallows. I've read all but three or four of Anne McCaffrey's books, and everything from Piers Anthony that I could get my hands on. I'm working on the Dresden Files and the Codex Alera (both by Jim Butcher) right now. I think in my lifetime I've read...let's see a rough estimate...somewhere around 3200 different books, multiple times. That's since I was old enough to read at all, which was...five? I'd read most of Anne McCaffrey's works on the Dragon Riders of Pern series and the Crystal Singer series by the time I was nine. I loved all the books that had to do with the Talents, including the Spaceship who Fought(etc.) I'm 19, 20 next month, and I'm still reading everything I can get my hands on. I liked Steven Hawking's works on physics. It's good material. Real food for thought and spawning off theories as to how Einstein could have been wrong with his Theory of Relativity, or if at the least there was a way around relativity.
Sometimes being smart is hard. Gah. (not being snooty about it..it's a fact.)

If not that, maybe you read more then one a day which I have to ask. Where in the world do you get that time? Do you just read all of that in a simple few hours? Maybe on your break at work? I just think that it's amazing that someone could read that much and I'm certainly humbled by this.

Since I started reading heavily at a young age (my favorite diversion) I did develop the speedreading ability. Last summer I was unemployed, fresh out of school, plenty of time, and with no friends around to hang out with. So I read. let's see...this week was books 3, 4, and 6 of the dresden files, and a Sith novel from the Star Wars universe, which was really good. that was in...um...three days. I don't sleep much.

I used to read around 50-70 books a month as a kid, no problem. All in all, they probably amounted to about 1400-2100 pages a month.
