The young lioness once sorrow state lifted and it showed in her posture. No longer did she slouch in submission from the white lion before her and her ears were no longer flattened by fear. Kichea's eyes were glittering with happiness as her calico paws touched the moist earth of the jungle and her tail swayed with joy as she watched Nyekundu disappear into the brush. Quickly she dropped Nakawa by his sister and sat down. She was still in awe over what just happened and her mouth hung ajar for a moment as she listened to Riku's words. Suddenly with a burst of joy she began to nuzzle him giggling happily. "It's true isn't it? Oh Riku, whatever do we do now? You still remember you're way home right? Do you think your family will like me? What about the cubs? Is there a bunch family? Like a whole pride or just a small group? Is it far?..." Questions poured from Kichea's lips like a curious cub. Her tail was swaying swiftly and her golden eyes still glittered with joy. Kichea licked Riku quickly on the cheek before returning to her cubs as she just barely heard her daughters voice over her excitement. "Sunshine, I think we're going home..." She bent down and nuzzled both cubs gently for a moment before looking back to Riku. "What do we do now?" She smiled softly and waited for his direction.
Nakawa stretched as his mother set him down. His paws had almost fallen asleep being carried that long of a time. He looked around at the new world and giggled when he seen the big white one gone. He knew that dad could scare him off. He toddled over near his sister and was caught by surprise at the outburst of happiness. Sure he was happy it was gone but where did all the sadness go so fast? His tail swayed slowly behind him as his mother answered Tui's question. He wasn't sure what she meant by home but it really seemed to be something good.
