...what is it with Edward Elric coats being worn outside of costumes? OK, I admit it, I actually started that costume as an excuse to have the coat, but still...

They're comfortable? Well, that's my reason, anyway. That has got to be the most comfortable piece of clothing I own, honestly. And, for me at least, the fact that it doesn't look too out of place in common life. sweatdrop

Though I'll probably end up making a zip up hoodie just like it, since it would be more practical (a coat that doesn't button/zip, yeah, not incredibly helpful when it gets colder). Probably over Christmas when I have more time...

When Resident Evil: Apocalypse, I Cosplayed all day as Jill from RE1. The costume wasn't completely finished, but I still had most of it. biggrin It was really fun. People did stare, and once when I had worn it on just a regular day to the movies, some guy looks at me and says something like, "Wow, some people are sick/have no life." stressed stressed

I thought it was great to see Storm Troopers and Inuyashas walking down the streets in Orlando. My parents and I were just like, "I guess we're getting close to Megacon." xd

Well it seems now that my coworkers want to dress up for halloween at work. Thing is I work in a kitchen and don't want to have to destroy any of my costumes. Ah, but I want to cosplay. Grrr the torture!

Yay! The mall near where I like is doing a manga-extravaganza thing on the 29th! That means my friends and I have an excuse to cosplay at the mall! This will be such fun! We'll go shopping all over the place dressed as Naruto and Trigun people!

(that's Kenwood mall, if anyone who lives hear Cincy, OH is interested)

Aww, that sounds like fun! Too bad I'm about 3 hours too far away... I would totally go to something like that, lol. Hope you have fun (and get lots of fun looks from the "normals"). wink

I was going to have a HUGE cosplay party for my 16th birthday, but only about 3 of my friends know what cosplay is...
Besides that fact, my original plans had included going to the mall (in cosplay, of course), but that got shot down when my mom refused to drive 8 people in our seven-seater minivan.
So, now, I'm going to have to plan something else, in order to allow for my friends and I to cosplay in public. Maybe we'll have a photoshoot at the nearby park. Or go to the movies on some random day.

On another side note, I did manage to cosplay once to school last year, on the last day. Everyone thought I was either a goth-wannabe (the fact that it was my Gijinka Heartless didn't help much, either) or insane. I even went to the market in costume! Standing by the frozen meat section in a skirt is a REALLY bad idea.

Muahahaha... and stares we did get. There were only two other people there besides my three friends and me, and only one of the two was cosplaying (as some kinda pinkbunny with overalls). They mostly stayed in the bookstore, but we walked all around the mall, went into FYE, and ate at the foodcourt.

A bunch of preps and their boyfriends stared, whipered, stared some more, and whispered behind their hands some more. One guy said "Hi, Vash." to my friend, and another guy we walked by was like, "they're hot."

So we had a lot of fun.

Haha, that sounds like fun! Give me a reason and I'll dress up, just not randomly. But it's fun scaring people when in costume, isn't it? I wish their were reasons to cosplay where I am, but there's not. Even for Halloween. I wore my black dress outfit with my Ed coat and boots (and I had to play handbells in church so I even had white gloves!), but it's just not the same.

I did get to make my sis a Mrs. White (maid version from the old Clue game), though, so that was fun, even if it wasn't me dressing up.

I cosplay often for no reason. Only in the bigger city though, but then, around here no one stares. Or really even notices sometimes cause my cosplays are alot like real clothes, I do alot of Naruto stuff.

We randomly had a costume day at our school, for halloween, so I decided to wear my Riku(Kingdom Hearts) costume. My friend dressed as Sora(a quickly not completed costume sweatdrop ) and the whole day we were acting out scenes from kingdom hearts and just cosplaying like the characters. A couple of my friends knew what we were talking about, but many others were just staring akwardly. whee

Besides that I've worn cat ears just about everywhere! I have a collection of different colors and sizes. xd
