Hasidi nodded dopily bobbing his head up and down a few times, looking disoriented. Searching for his family had turned out to be something entirely different, was he going to meet all strange lions with jewelry? It was good to meet new friends, but ones that were going to confuse him. ((I think we should have stayed in the Shire, Frodo.)) His heart lept and he looked up at Ezeoha, "You really think it was an okay idea?"
He looked down embarrassed, he missed his Tisha, she was the only person that didn't think he was slow. "As long as your treasure isn't hurt! Where would we go to look for jewels, maybe there's something out there for me?" He wanted to please the other lion. "Shall we look?"

"Yeah, I think it was." The cub, though, seemed more interested in making sure that all of his jewelry was in perfect order. His tail ring slipped off, and Ezeoha observed the dark designs engraved in the stone, searching for any flaws. Finding none the ring was place back on his tail, and he began to inspect his bracelets. He couldn't remove his earrings without any help, so those were left untouched.
"Looking may be a good idea... because I really don't know where I can find jewels and stuff. Maybe we can get some pretty string and beads... Would you like that?" Ezeoha hated to admit that he didn't know exactly where his stuff came from, and even if he did, he wouldn't dare go after it for some more. It was in the Firekin lands, and that was all he needed to know to reassure himself that he was never going there.

"I have an idea!" he beamed it was a good idea, now if he could only think of a way to put it. After about five minutes of blank stares and shifting his weight Hasidi spoke, "they look kind of like rocks, what if we looked for pretty rocks around here, there must be some right?"
He looked like a cub that had just said the most absurd thing and felt proud of it, but it might have been a good idea. "I bet they're all around here and we just can't see them!"
He was pleased with himself and his new friend Ezeoha seemed to be able to teach him new things, that was a relief, at least Ezeo didn't call him dumb and took the time to tell him what he meant. Hasidi wasn’t truly slow, he was sheltered and a bit set back in the social awareness department, that’s all.

Ezeoha wasn't sure if he should tell Hasidi that jewels essentially were rocks, or not. It seemed as if his friend was lacking in the brains department, but Ezeoha didn't want to demean him. Hasidi was perfectly fine the way he was, and Ezeoha didn't want to all the sudden make him intelligent. Besides, it would be a waste of his time and would take forever. Who would want lessons from a cub anyways?
"Well, I think they'd be in caves, or we'd have to dig for them. Sometimes they can be under big rocks and such." Hasidi's idea was a good one, if not a little obvious. But, sometimes the most obvious track was the one that was best to take.
"So, we better get looking, then." The cub jumped off of his rock, leading the way. He knew the lands better than most, if only because he had been born here and was still living here. Maybe he could take Hasidi to a nice cave and they could try their luck.

Hasidi had a blank look on his face, his jaw slack and his mind wandering, he was listening to Ezeoha but it really wouldn't seem that way if the juvenile noticed, he wasn't showing. "Okay," Hasidi spoke slowly.
He stood, winced slightly and started to follow Ezeoha, today was one of those days your mum tells you abou; he was just not having a smart day. It was as if traveling changed the lions entire demeanor to "Stupid" instead of, "big brother."
"I'll follow you anywhere, I wasn't planning anything else for the day."

Ezeoha turned his head to the side to make sure that Hasidi was still behind him, and then he abruptly stopped and sat down on the spot. He was being insensitive, he had just realized. Hasidi was injured and Ezeoha was dragging him across the whole of the Pridelands.
"I'm sorry," the cub muttered, looking up to Hasidi with wide and pleading eyes. He did not want the other to be mad at him for pushing him on so far. "I really am. You're hurt and I'm making you walk. Maybe we should just return to my home and see if there's anything we can do for you. Or you can just sit down and relax and I'll go on a search for it. Unless you want to come... but that has to hurt. Does it? I would imagine so." It was unlikely that Ezeoha would ramble, but at times he was as prone to it as the next person.
Later he would berate himself for his lack of common sense. He was a cub that depended on being smooth for the women, and he couldn't let himself slip up in such a time as flirtation. He needed to practice and prepare at all times for the moment when he met a pretty female!

Hasidi just smirked at the other lion, pain was the name of the game for him. It wasn't fair to say that it didn't hurt him, but then again it wasn't fair to say that it he didn't deal with it. He sat down looking at the juvenile, "Ezeoha, I am not in /that/ much pain to stop walking, where are we headed, exactly?"
"How about we go our seperate ways and then someday I'll meet up with you and we can see the jewels you find?" Hasidi's pride was easily hurt and he didn't want to admit that by asking to stop Ezeoha had made him feel like crying.

Ezeoha didn't think that Hasidi had been traveling all of his life like this. All he could imagine was that Hasidi was in pain now, and because Ezeoha wanted to push him too much. Ezeoha knew he was more sensitive than he was acting now. He was never the one to be overly-demanding and all macho. "I was figuring that we'd head over to some more rocky terrain, since you said that we could find some clinging to rocks and such."
The cub frowned, seeming not all too happy with Hasidi's next plan. But, Ezeoha wasn't going to tell him 'No, stay'. He couldn't convince Hasidi of anything. His new friend was a rogue, and though the Pridelanders weren't nasty to rogues, perhaps an unwelcome stay wasn't the brightest of ideas. "If you want. I promise I'll find you a nice milky white jewel to wear around your neck."

Hasidi smiled he liked the idea of a white jewel, Tisha was his mother and although she was far from him he always felt she was there, with her two toned eyes.
"I am sorry to leave so soon, but I must get back to my search and soon I will see you!" He promised the juvenile and without saying another world started off into the opposite direxction, it was time to rest the heat was getting ti him, and he wasn't about to admit it to anyone. "i'll see you," he whispered.

"I understand," he said a little sadly, wondering briefly if he had done anything wrong. Ezeoha quickly dismissed the thought, though. If he had done something wrong Hasidi would've told him. His new friend seemed like the kind of lion who wouldn't keep anything hidden. His new friend would be open with him, and Ezeoha suspected that he would have to do the same. "I'll miss you. Bye!"
He watched for a few minutes as Hasidi walked away, and then with a small little sigh scampered off to do what he had promised, to find Hasidi a white jewel.
