User Image Aiden shifted uncomfortably under the curious gaze of the human girl. A future Sith? What have the others decided? Aiden cocked her head slightly as she pondered her descision.

"I think I'll wait until the others arrive before I make my final descision." Aiden told the masters with a small smile. "If that's alright of course."

She turned towards the human girl. She could sense her vivacious nature through the force. It burned like a bright aura in contrast to the masters' calm composure.

"You don't really strike me as a sith warrior." She said bluntly. She held up her hands, palms facing upwards in a sheepish gesture. "Not to be mean or anything, I was just curious on what influenced your descision?"

User ImageCharsiir was finging it hard to make his voice known, he had many questions he couldn't choose which. He finally decided to ask ''Say if I become a jedi, does that mean I can't use darkside powers?'' He had no wish to use dark side powers, but he felt he should at least ask.

User Image Aiden turned quickly to face the gruff sounds behind her. The growling sounds seemed unintelligible to her, but she figured it must be his language. She had encountered enough variety of people throughout the galaxy to realize there were a vast collection of different languages.

Throughout her travels she had painstakingly learned several of the more commonly used ones. This particular language was a complete mystery to her. Aiden frowned and wondered what the furry character had asked. Puzzled, she slowly turned back to Ayanna, hoping the newcomer hadn't caught her curious stare.

"Of course," Cha-Langui said to the young girl, "waiting is perfectly acceptable."

User ImageThe Toruga nodded at the Wookiee. Though her own vocal chords were not strung to the deep, guttural sounds of his own language, she had been trained to understand it. "Generally," she replied in basic, "that would be the case. Darkside powers are not what the Jedi usually use. There are, however, some things that the Jedi learn that could be considered Dark if used in an unconventional, and frowned upon, way. One example would be using force push to shove a group of school children down a cliff. Though the power itself is not dark, its use would be."

User ImageCharsiir countered with ''But say force lightning is generally a darkside power, as it iflicts pain, and in past Jedi have used it, will we be aloud to do such.'' He spoke like this as he had already made up his mind, he wanted to be a jedi, his sponsor wanted him to, his beliefs wanted him to, heck he even wanted to.

He thought upon it, he would not be able to hold a red lightsaber above the corpse of an innocent child, he would not be able to stand the corruption of currency and power, no, he felt a jedi path is the only option.

Char blinked at the kid Wookiee. "Nope. Unless you went renegade, that is. Stuff like that isn't usually done by either side, as the side effects are too harsh for it even to be logical. But the answer to your question is no."

User Image Annaving considered the reply of the masters before she raised her hand slightly.

"I also have a question." She began. " Will the Jedi and Sith students ever have the chance to interact?" She glanced at Ayanna. She knew the girl had already made up her mind to become a sith. If I followed the Jedi path, would I ever see Ayanna and the other Sith hopefuls? Aiden thought to herself.

"And also," she continued. "Since you are seeking balance between the two temples, does that mean that the number of students entering each temple has to be divided evenly?" She paused. "Or can all of us decide to become a Sith?

"To the balance question: Yes. The way we have it planned, the number of you monsters going into each temple should be even. Though the force works strangely, and we are prepared for exceptions."

User Image"But not to worry," Sva'La carefully said, "both the Sith and the Jedi will have plenty of opportunities to interact. In the beginning, many classes will be tutored together, and later on, many missions will require both the Jedi and the Sith to properly work out. We planned the dual temples to work as a cooperative, and as such, the two types of force users are expected to interact quite a bit."

User ImageCharsiir considered for a moment, then asked ''What is the difference, between jedi and sith?'' All this conversation had confused him. The answer could change his decision. He added ''and can one change temples at later life?''

Ayanna had heard the other girls question and she had been thinking about it. How to explain? No, she didn't think of herself as a killer if that's what the girl meant. But.. There wasn't going to be a quick and easy answer to this, so perhaps if she muddled through her reasonings aloud it would help.

"I'm not a killer no.. But that isn't the point is it? I mean, if I just wanted to fight people I could become a mercenary or a bounty hunter. Sometimes things aren't right, or people aren't right, and sometimes talking can help and sometimes it can't. Even worse, sometimes it can help in the end, but it would take so long that lots of bad things could happen while you're trying to make things right. I want.. I don't want to wait. I want things to be fixed they way they ought to be when they ought to be, not months or years later." She said slowly, clenching and unclenching a fist. To speak of such things was stressful, and she didn't like giving the other children, and both the Masters, such a clear view into her personality.

"Oh! By the way, my name's Ayanna what's yours?" She asked the girl smiling, glad to hear from the masters that she would still be interacting with those who chose to be Jedi.

At the same time as she said this she was reflecting on the exchange between Charsiir and Char-Langui. An act too severe for either side to use? Surely they would still learn it though. Whatever morals bound the temples, their future enemies would surely have no such scruples. Knowledge was power sometimes, and power could keep you and the people important to you alive and safe.

"My name is Aiden." She answered, returning the smile. Her pointed ears twitched slightly as she leveled her gaze. "And I've decided to be a Jedi." She crossed her arms.

She was too composed to allow her haughtiness show on her features, but she briefly wondered if Ayanna could sense it through the force. She had been convinced for a while now that the Jedi path was by far supreme to the Sith Philosophy.

"I guess that means we'll be attending different temples." Aiden said, lifting her chin. "I'll look forward you when you have become a Sith."

"I guess we will be." Agreed Ayanna cheerfully, although if someone was paying attention and knew her well enough they might see a bit of a gleam in her eye, a spark of temper. On the one hand, she liked Aiden just fine, same as she liked most everyone just fine, particularly as she'd just met the girl, on the other hand, something about her was putting the hair on the back of her neck up. Making her, not want to fight, but to be competitive certainly.

Maybe if she was better trained in the Force than she currently was she would recognize it as a response to the other girls concealed haughtiness, as it was, it just put her hairs up. Ayanna was used to other people taking to her right away, most every adult she met wound up treating her like their own child, most every child became her best friend. Hardly even mattered what species they were. The problem was, unbeknownst to her, that was because she was constantly projecting an aura of 'you like me', using the Force to make situations more favourable to herself. It wasn't strong, it wouldn't change anyone dead set against her, but since most beings were neutral to start with, and since Ayanna was naturally polite and friendly, it gave her an edge. Here, with everyone being able to use the Force, it didn't work. It was.. a bizarre feeling to say the least.

"It's nice we'll be in some of the same classes to start with anyway." She added. And it was nice. After all, who knew what Charsiir or Edan would choose either. She knew she'd have Rie'Kus around for company, but she didn't want to lose the new friends her own age she had made either.

"I suppose so." Aiden said, distracted by a subtle change in Ayanna's persona. She wasn't yet adept to the subtleties of the force, but her parent's salesmen and marketing ways had taught her to be very observant. Mutual classes would prove helpful to comparing the Jedi skills to the Sith skills. She thought to herself. I can certainly be a better Jedi than this human girl being a Sith.

She touched "the twins" nestled under the folds of either side of her tunic. She knew that her force awareness required much improvement. Although she knew she was force sensitive-- the energy around her seemed to flow freely and at its own will. She could not control it or manipulate it. However she was confidant of the advantage she had over the other students. Unlike them, she was already familiar with certain skills necessary to survive in this galaxy. The skill at the top of the list were acquired from a history of shrewd and manipulative living.

This carefree human girl made her uneasy. Ayanna was the exact opposite of herself and yet she held such confidence and energy. Truth be told, Aiden was now eager to begin her Jedi training. This eagerness stemmed not so much from desire to learn, but from a competitive spirit aroused by this peculiar human.

That seemed about all there was to say to Aiden at the moment, and a semi akward silence descended. At least Ayanna found it akward, the others were probably completely wrapped up in their own thoughts. Raising her eyebrows slightly and rubbing the side of her nose Ayanna mentally shrugged and dismissed the tension. Didn't matter right now, nothing to be done about it at the moment. Wait for classes, wait to learn. Learn for the sake of learning, learn to accomplish things, learn to be the best Sith. Learn from the Jedi's as well. If they way of learning was supposed to be different, then watch and see how they thought, how they approached problems. Learn how they were taught to think, then learn to anticipate. Also anticipate that they may be doing the same thing. It was like playing chess, you had to stay ahead of your opponent, not just one move ahead, but many.

And sometimes, sometimes when you were both wrapped up in layers and layers and layers of forward thinking, abandon that plan. Abandon it and act. Be chaos personified. Chaos was life. Rules and order might help regulate it and keep it, but Chaos was the source of life. Ayanna would learn as Master Char-Langui would like her to, and then she would apply what she knew, what she believed.

In any case, things would just work out in the end. They always did.

"The Jedi and the Sith are fundamentally different," The short man explains to you, "The Sith, who I teach, use power to their advantage. Some dimwitts might call us ruthless, but I prefer to use the term 'opertunistic'. We do what we have to to get the job done, quickly, efficiently, and with the miminmal amount of damages. Basically - we're who they call in when the Eopie dung hits the thruster engine."

User Image"The Jedi, on the other hand," Sva'La says in an equally informative tone, "do their best to keep those types of situations from happeining. We have just as much force traing as the Sith, but in different areas. Instead of focusing on attacks, and damage causing technequies, we work at diplomacy, and how to control situations. We are the peace keepers, of sorts."
