Hello all, my name is Dan, and I have a problem. (chorus of voices saying "Hi, Dan"). I am an obsessive reader, partcitularly of Steven King. Oddly enough, I haven't read very many of the great classics, but I love the B-movie books, the ones where you don't have to spend 5 hours wondering on the meaning of a passage. I'm in high school, and I get enough of that in English.

I'm Rhap-chan, short for Rhapsody, ecstatic about joining the guild..... My current favorite book is "The Secrets of Jin-Shei," by Alma Alexander, despite the fact that I'm only half-way through it... ^_^ Have to get off the computer and read more..... No fave author. I love most authors. ^_^ Especially Terry Pratchett and Piers Anthony though.

Hi! I'm Jessica (yeah, I'm a girl, male avi).
My favorite book is deffinitely Mrs.Mike, which you all will hear me ranting about atleast until most of you read it xd . That's followed by the Wolf Tower series by Tanith Lee, Wuthering Heights, and Pride and Prejudice.
While he has nothing to do with any of those books, my favorite author is probably Stephen King. I love the horror. I also enjoy Tanith Lee, though I typically don't like sci-fi/fantasy very much. Douglas Adams is another favorite, Emily Bronte, and Edgar Allan Poe.

This guild seems too good to be true! I am so excited!!!
My name is Emily, but PLEASE call me Ems. I mainly read fantasy, historical fiction, and occasionally some Christian fiction (Lori Wick and Janette Oke). My favorite authors are Robert Jordan, Sara Douglass, Juliet Marillier, and of course, J.R.R. Tolkien (I have my uncle to thank for that one!!!) I'm really not too much of a Stephen King fan, though I did enjoy The Little Sisters of Eluria story in the Legends book (a sci-fi/fantasy collection) I enjoy Shakespeare...sadly I'm the only one in my class at school that will read his work on her own.
Writing style wise, my favorite author is Sara Douglass. She manipulates her readers so much and I absolutely hate her for it!!! lol~~
I really like the Wolf Tower series by Tanith Lee, Oiseau De Mort!!! That is soooo cool!!!

Sanibona, and my name is Rii. <3 Or so they say. Obviously, I love reading (why else would I be here?) and I'm not very intelligent, as proved by the fact that it took me a month to find that 'guild' button in 'my profile'.
Which, by the way, is also why I hadn't introduced myself earlier.
Well. I have so many favorite books, I can't bother to name them all. I'm currently reading Doesteovsky's 'The Brothers Karamov' (I recommend that, too, although I won't post it in the recommendation thread until I'm done with it) and his 'Notes from Underground', which are both incredibly interesting, and 'The Literature of Ancient Egypt: an anthology of stories, instructions, and poetry' is proving to be incredibly informative, too. (I'm an anthropology/ethnography nerd. I'm also a psychology semi-nerd--which reminds me, I'm sure you've read or will read Oliver Sack's 'The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat', but his 'An Anthropologist on Mars' is great, too.)
I have no favorite author, and have had no favorite author since I was a ikkle kidlet reading this book about Marvin the Ape.
And now, I'd better post again on the recommendation thread, because I just thought of all these books I forgot to recommend! XD
