((Eh, not a problem. I should've been more active anyways. Always feel free to do stuff with my character, I'll let you know if it's off))
Faile'Ania D'lora swept a graceful bow, her silken robes almost luminescent in the early afternoon sun. While they marked her as a devotee of Lumos, they also gave her a refined and dignified air. Of course, these hadn't seemed to be good since the Houkan border had been crossed. They had earned dark looks and foul glances from the people of this land, and veiled sneers from the the few lords they had encountered on their way here. Apparently Lumos was not well liked in this land, and even a high priestess carried no respect here. But perhaps things would be different now that they were in the imperial court.
The faintest of smiles glittered in Faile's silver eyes as she watched the diplomat deal with the corporal. Apparently politicians were the same a world around. Still, she held her peace as the scarlet clad diplomat led the way into a strangely decorated hall. The carvings were more angular and stronger than what she was used to, but she appreciated the use of colors. In the palace in Pearle, the colors were far more subdued and gentle, here they wove a fiery tapestry along the walls, accented by the warm hued wood furnature.
The fact that Dimitri had niether introduced himself, and that he had sat down immediately informed Faile that this was a nobleman to the core, used to getting his own way. Although it was best to generally placate such men, you had to demonstrate at least some level of strength when dealing with them. Seating herself without being asked would have been a major breach of ettiquete in the temple, but Faile reminded herself that this was not home. Firmly taking a seat, she smiled a pleasant smile, like the kind one would use for dealing with a mis-behaving child "Thank you good sir. I have many questions, but one I feel is most pressing. Might I inquire as to your name?" Her pale white hands folded demurely into her lap as she pointed out his lack of courtesy. This might be his home, but merely because she was here didn't mean that she didn't deserve respect.

"Ah, Lady D'Lora, but have you not just done so?" he asked with a smug grin. He wasted no time in continuing, "While my name is unecessary, and not of concern in such a...for lack of a better word, prestigious situation as we have here, I feel it rude to not oblige to your request. My name is Dimitri Oleander. Please, though, I insist you call me Dimitri. There is no need to feed my ego with titles, Lady D'Lora." He emphasised the title 'Lady' ever so slightly after he had mentioned that. He doubted the Corporal would catch it, but he was more than certain his well planned 'insult' had not gone unnoticed by Lady D'Lora.
He got up, walked with fluid motions to the nearest cabinet, and retrieved a bottle of wine and three glasses. He set them in the middle of their table, poured all three, and took one. He motioned to the other two and said, "My Lady, Corporal. Please, drink with me." He smiled a sincere smile and pulled his glass back. He made no effort to make a toast, and waited to see if either of them would be foolish enough to do so. He chuckled a little inside as he imagined the Corporal picking up his glass and toasting to 'Peace.' The fool. Militaristic men were always so rigid, so black and white. He watched the two of them carefully, baiting them with his cat and mouse game. He would learn much of them before Lyra met with them. And then he would tell Lyra of what he knew. Whether by Peace or by War, Houka would reign supreme.

"No Lord Oleander, I'm afraid I never did ask your name. Most kind of you to tell me though. Tit for tat, Faile was not about to let Dimitri's attack on her ego go unanswered. Using the formal last name would hopefully strengthen her counterstatement. Her pleasing false smile became a real one as she remembered her political teacher, Priestess Miayana's words "Little one, all I'm going to teach you is how to say simple things in a complex way, and to lie while speaking the truth" If herself and dimitri had been mere peasants, he would have just called her conceited and she would have said he was even more so. But, they weern't peasants, so pleasantries had to occur.
As the wine was poured, Faile watched the blood red liquid flow from the bottle into the glasses. Once poured, the wine settled in the glasses, it's surface becoming calm and smooth. If only life were like that, the priestess reflected. Taking up her glass, she eyed the wine, it's delicate tart smell wafting up to her "In Pearle, we use green grapes, so the wine has an ivory cast." Turning her silver eyes to meet Dimitri's, she let her smile fade "It is also sweeter. I think perhaps, the wines might go best if mixed" Setting her glass down, she smiled once more "But then again, I am no connoisseur of wine"
As she set the crystal glass back down onto the table, Rai's voice sounded in her mind. Faile hadn't expected to hear from him so soon, he was probably just homesick. Despite all his power, Rai'ak was still not a man yet. Faile's smile softened unconciously as she heard his voice. Although she managed to keep her smile, what he said immediately wiped away the fond feelings of a moment ago, replacing them with cold shock. Coughing slightly to erase any evidence of what she just heard, Faile smoothed her face back into it's serene expression. IF asked, she would blame the long journey here. It was impossible for anyone to know that she could communicate with someone hundreds of leagues away. And even more impossible for anyone here to know what she had just learned. Hopefully the queen would come soon, and Faile could be the one to tell her. Kaeline, queen of Pearle was dead.

((^_^;; Sorry. I've been busy with school and such. I decided that this year school comes first so...meh. Again, sorry about the long interval...and also for the rather short post... ._.))
A little man swung the doors to the room as far open as they would go. He stood to the side of one and said in a firm tone, "Her Emperial Majesty, Lyra Fa Houreka!"
Lyra nodded to the nameless mand and swept into the room as pompously as she could manage. Her outfit consisted of a crimson kimono style robe with a gold sash. There were three layers to it, each one a lighter color of red starting from the outside and moving inwards. It had no pattern but it was made of the finest material her seamstress' could find. She took a seat at the head of the table in a large black chair with a red velvet cusion. Lyra looked around the room at the gathered people and said, "Greetings, I apologize for the delay but it was necassary. Before we get down to business, I would appreciate it if I could know your names."

The silver-clad priestess rose gracefully to her feet upon the arrival of the empress. Although she smiled respectfully, tired lines were etched softly into her young face. She hadn't slept for nearly twenty hours now, being mostly nocturnal, and then switching to daytime living was taking it's toll on her. Waiting until the empress sat down, Faile curtsied deeply before sitting back down herself. Pushing the wine glass aside, she clasped her slender fingers together and set her hands neatly in her lap.
Debating for a millisecond to use her titles or not, Faile opted on a less haughty route. Rather than using her own full title, Priestess Seh-Faile'Ania mah D'lora which meant Guardian Dancing Girl of the Moon, she used her more humble name "Of course Milady. My name is Faile'Ania D'lora, and my companion is Corporal Kaleb Vellar" She was quite sure that everyone knew her own rank as a high priestess, but the corporal needed all the respect he could get.
Faile's sweet voice filled the air again almost immediately, her cloudy grey eyes taking on a determined cast "If I may ask a boon of you Empress Houreka. I have a message for you alone, so if we could speak in private for a moment? To assure your safety, you may dismiss my gaurd and search me for weapons, but this message is of utmost importance". Might as well gamble and pray to Lumos that the empress would understand. Waiting couldn't help any, and it might be best if Faile came off as a strong character to the Houkan leader. She was representing Pearle after all...

((Not even going to bother making an excuse this time. I just kinda forgot...sorry.))
The empress of Houka inclined her head to the woman and said, "I welcome you, Faile'Ania D'lora, to my palace, and my lands. May your inner fire never die and may your enemies find a swift end." It was a somewhat informal greeting, but Lyra could sense the urgency with which Faile'Ania spoke.
Lyra looked the priestess over and could see the lines in her skin that betrayed the weariness Faile was feeling. Lyra knew it had been a long journey for the woman and her guard. She made a dismissive gesture with her hand and said, "Dismiss your guard, but it is not necassary to search you, it has been a long road for you to travel in coming here and I am greatful."
She watched as the guard left the room, but did not speak again until she heard the soft click of the door closing gently but firmly.
"Now, what is it that you need speak of so urgently? What news do you bring from your homeland." Lyra looked expectantly at the priestess of Lumos.

Anyway, Heart -- you should be seated somewhere observing and occasionally making conversating, Party you too. There will be plenty to do soon enough though, fear not.

[[okay, thanks. ^^; ]]
Ayame stayed silent, and spoke only when she was addressed. Otherwise, she had important matters running through her mind. For the current event, she wondered what they would do - what the actions they'd take would be. Her decision would solely be based upon what her empress wanted, even if it contradicted some of her own ethical judgements. But as she thought about how she dealt with such issues as these, she pondered to herself what made others' decisions have such an impact on her own. Of course, it wasn't like her own thoughts and opinions were pushed out of the way- no. It wasn't like that at all, if she had something to debate, she'll debate it. Yet still, her judgement made her wonder quite a lot.

The door to the meeting room suddenly swung open and Kanashi stepped in. He had heard that there would be a convey from Pearle and was dressed more modestly, in a red samurai-style of clothing, than what he commonly wore; he had become accustomed to formal wear when he had been adopted as the Prince of the Empire at the age of six, but it was not always best for fighting...Kanashi was partial to peace but not between two countries; his type of peace was only created when one power was greater than the other. Thus, he sent a wary look in the Pearle representative's direction before taking a seat at the end of the table near his mother, Lyra.

((Ah. I see...adopted. Not biological...good. Then you can go ahead and roleplay him. I thought he was supposed to be biological son of lyra...that would make her have been sexually active at age 10. lol Non. Since Mendaci seems to be inactive of late, I shall drag his characters about.))
Lyra glanced at her son, "Greetings my dear, I would like for you to meet the Lady Faile'Ania D'lora of the Moon Temple in Pearle. She is here to...talk of things that have been happening of late."
She returned her gaze to Faile, "You wish to tell me something, get to it. As you said this is important. Your guard waits outside my door, I believe he is growing restless." Indeed, the man stood just a small ways away from the sound-proof doors to the meeting chamber impatiently. Lyra looked up however as one of her messengers burst through the doors. "I believe I left instructions that none were to enter. That has already been...forgotten apparently," Here she glanced at Kanashi, "what is it this time?"
"My lady, it is urgent. This here is a message directly from Pearle here for you. Refugees are beginning to congregate in our lands." He said breathlessly as he brandished a scroll of parchment. It was done on the type of paper stylized with the Houkan crest so it must have been a report on a situation within her empire. She frowned and stood gracefully, reaching to take the parchment. The messenger handed it to her and took his leave, bowing as he left.
Lyra unfurled the scroll and began to read. When she was finished she had paled considerably. "Priestess, I believe your country is in dire peril. Your queen has been assassinated and these forces that destroyed our holy relics have taken your palace...the envoys sent there are making there way here. To the point however, it appears that we were mistaken in our assumption that your country had anything to do with the destruction of our Sun Stone. It was one 'Sibel'...a dark priestess of considerable power...she has recently taken Esperanza kingdom..." Lyra trailed off as Faile's face showed no surprise, "but you knew this apparently."
She nodded. It was no news to her, Rai had told her everything that had gone on in her absence.
"I believe that an agreement is in order. It would be to our mutual benefit to join forces in this matter. Though Pearle may have fallen..."
Faile trailed off as an incredible shift took place. Things fell off of shelves, windows shattered, men with weak stomachs threw up, ladies fainted, all the animals in and around the palace went crazy, and everyone in the room was throne to the ground. The best word to describe what had just happened was a shift of their reality...
Lyra immediately snapped to. "What in the HELLS was that??!" She ran to the doors and ripped them open, then pointed at one of the guards running down the hallway, "YOU, find out what that was! I want to know what that was, why it happened, and if we are under attack or not! GO!" She slammed the door shut and it splintered just a bit. Lyra turned to face the priestess, "I agree, we have a mutual concern here. I, the Lady of Houka, pronounce this countries grudge against Pearle ended for the time-being in light of recent events."
