finally making to the gate Zen nodded his head to the guards, not really much time to waste simply dilly-dallying, Zen passed through the gates only to see a group of mages and tigers cutting into the forest. "Might as well follow, it seems their the squad set to blow up the dam."

And like that Zen was now entering the forest, following closely behind the bomb squad.

Everyone was leaving, and Akina was anxious to get going with them. The young mage was tingling from nervous excitement. Following slowly behind, she headed towards the forest.

Alone, Kalis returned to these gates, certain that a very small number if any of those others who had left them today with him were returning.
But he could live, and fight, and bleed another die. And perhaps find his rest.
But for now, his rest was much less permanent.
A smile masking tears which would never come to his eyes greeted the faces of those who still lived as he returned to the living town for a much less permanent rest.
Of course, despite how many of them might have heard already or noticed of the dam's breaking, many still gave him odd looks as he sloshed in to camp with a half real smile on his face.
"Goddam swamp thing..." he muttered out the corner of his mouth.

Walking slowly, and with great strain, Mozz makes it to the gates of radiant, where he is quickly let inside, for a nights rest.

One of the lookouts jumped down from his post, scurrying to open the gates. The two men, carrying a body between them, were too far away to make out their faces clearly...but the lookout recognized those robes. It was the two missing mages, and probably one of the guards, returning home at last.
"Nah, he's not dead," Jim was saying, staring right at the bullet hole in Erik's head without seeming to notice it. "He's just resting. I told you, Steve, there's nothing to worry about. I think you should probably get some rest, though, you've been out here too long."
Steve felt his chest tighten as silent tears streamed down his face. The archer couldn't believe it...Jim thought he was crazy? "Let's...just get him home..." the man croaked at last.

As they passed through the village gates, one of the lookouts heaved over the side of the wall. He had never seen a corpse before, and he knew that man...they'd worked together, side by side, building up the village. And now...what had happened to his head?
The lookout shivered atop the wall. Would they have to carry him home like that one day?
"Yeah. I think the sooner we drop him off and you get a chance to rest, the better," Jim said sincerely, baritone voice full of concern for his companion. Steve really must be going crazy, thinking Erik was dead.
"Yes..let's do that," Steve answered numbly.

A boy not quite old enough that the others felt comfortable with him on watch, came in on his messanger run. Shouting in hushed tones about someone in the woods coming after the villiage. He was a little frentic.

And so the boy plunged straight into the camp looking for help to support the cause against the invading man in the forests.

The all to familiar gates came within sight, the faster he ran along to them; the distance closing.

Jacknife came running into view of the gates. "Open up!" He shouted. "I need to get to the forest ASAP, lives depend on it."

Once the gates opened, Shade ran out and into the forest, beginning to search for this new little problem that needed to be taken care of.
