"Yes, please, let's move out," the mage replied, the other two nodding assent. "The sooner we get there the less time they will have to prepare for our coming. Let's go."

They weren't fool enough to head off themselves, but waited for Kalis or another of the adventurers to take the lead.

Zen Rider
"Good enough to me, just to be customery the names Zen Rider everyone, hopefully it'll be a pleasure working with you all."

"It's Aiolos, but I'm not the kind to be customery." He said, taking the whistle off of his mouth for a second.

He put it in his mouth again and waited.

"Guess I'll stick close to the bomb squad." Zen followed along with the group into the field of stumps, pondering what may appear as they move on with their travels.

Alan began to jog after Kalis as he tugged out his cell. He quickly keyed in the number from the piece of paper and sent a text message that read "Just so you have my number" The text message would have the number that it was sent from attatched, and depending on the model of phone Kalis had he should be able to just hit store and the number would be stored into his contact info.

He looked back to make sure the bombs were following. A glass of water would have been devine right about then. Or better yet... A big glass of sweet tea. He was getting his fill of fire for today.

He found himself breaking headlong into the forest once more, although this time it was a bit harder to navigate at the speeds he wanted to be moving in.

This part seemed more devoid of artifical contact or touch, and too much overgrowth prevented many of the paths he should have taken.

Under any other situation he would have gladly carved a path straight through the blasted things, but the fight here was for the land-- and razing the damn thing was sure not the way to get in bed with the Villagers.

Turning violently to avoid smashing straight into a lumbering tree that apparently decided to loom the ******** out of nowhere apparently.

Moving down the a little incline, squeezing tightly between two trees, he continued on his way, continueng to head for where the mountains of the forest loomed.

"Next time I'm just going to ride in a cart straight to the front door. Jeezus."

He was finding more and more difficulty in navigating the forest, but he wouldn't have to worry about the bike for long...

Kalis walked on in, and as it was empty and the world seemed abandoned, cheated the great gods of letters and words and posts of their second such, instead cutting straight through the area in a single post out of his spite.

The earth mage slogged through the trees, his dead buddy still over his shoulder in a fireman's carry. He felt so alone...his friend was sleeping...even the birds seemed to have deserted this place.

"Jim!"

He jumped as his name was shouted, turning in the direction to see...

One of the bowmen Kalis had left there, smiling and waving at him before running over.

"Jim, thank goodness your alive! Are you alright? What happened to..." The archer's face went pale as he fully took in the dead air mage's condition.

"He's just resting," Jim replied. "He used up all his energy on a spell to make us run faster. So he's resting now."

"Jim, he's..." The archer looked at Jim's face, and couldn't do it. "Come on. I'll help you carry him back to the village. It's a long way to go alone."

"Jim...did it work?"

"Huh?"

The archer looked away, over his shoulder. He was walking backwards through the trees, carrying the fallen air mage with the help of Jim. "The dam," he clarified, as he turned back to face the earth mage. "Did it blow up?"

"Oh, yeah!" Jim had a big grin on his face. "You should have seen it!"

The pair moved on to the sun-soaked clearing.

It reminded Quin of home, that was before he had a very large portion of the woods cut down so that the town could actually grow larger. Shaking his head he muttered how dim sighted people were when it came to economics and progress.

Sure Skinner had the right idea, they were just going about it entirely wrong. But then it was easy to find fault in them, just look how ineptly they waged a war.

Sending a short message up the hills he noted that he was going to be entering a large clearing. He didn't really like it, but at least it was still a bit early. Not that it being early was a good excuse for anything in the middle of a warzone.

Leaning against trees as he came to them he took a breath before he shuffled into the clearing. This was going to be a b***h.
