And after Sey and Eint, Flare came gliding into the Dead Woods.

She saw the truck. She saw the rook. She saw that her hand was glowing with energy she had charged earlier.

She saw the rook crush the truck, and decided to save her energies for the battle at the dam. That truck wasn't going anywhere, anyway.

"Worry about yourself!" she shouted to Sey.

With a twitch Sun watched the thing climb up the rockface like an expert.

"We gotta follow...but I hope that cliff can carry all it's weight. I'm none too keen to that sonovabitch landin on me..."

Sey

"I'll be fine!" Sey yelled back at Flare. Yeah. She hoped she'd be fine.

"Come on Eint!" Following closelly after the Rook, Sey and her guardian entered the Base of the Dam.

May Falis save us all.

"Just don't stay immediately under it," Flare cautioned Sunstrike, before flying off after Sey.

"Damn!" Kalis snarled, the mage over his lap and Aiolos on his back as they slowed to drive through the forest. Luckily it was a forest, and the jeeps wouldn't have room to pursue. "DAMN!"

He didn't stop driving onward though. "Are you alright?"

"Well if you don't count the getting shot at and near death experience we just had back there, I'd be having the time of my life." Aiolos smiled as he took the whistle out of his mouth. Oh, he was talking to the mage. Whatever. He put the whistle back into his mouth and summoned the strength in one arm hold on to the mage.

He held the whistle with his teeth as he heard the jeeps, "Great, you know my magic doesn't do too much in the forest, I think we should run away, very fast."

"Glad to hear it." Kalis sounded less bitter now. Instead of biting off his words, the dragged wearily from him.

"And you?" The mage in his lap nodded furiously, digging his hands into him for a grip, eyes shut tight. His face was aimed down towards the ground after all.

The two mages who were not on Kalis' lap were continuing to run like hell, but they were beginning to get winded (no pun intended) and the air mage's spell was beginning to wear off. Whereas before they had been keeping pace with the dirtbike, they were now slowly falling behind.

"Sorry...if I keep it up any longer, I won't be able to run any more."

"At least those three have a good chance of reaching the dam..." The earth mage glanced fearfully behind him.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Yeah. I'll prepare the tomb spell."

Shouyin

Shouyin crossed the dry riverbed and entered into the woods, rifle gripped in both hands as he progressed quickly through the mess of trees. It was doubted that he was moving as quickly as the bunch of people moving up in front of him, but he had the will to run a mile in the same fatigues that he slept in, and it was showing as he headed towards the dam.

He kept stern watch of the group as he tailed them though, since they seemed to be moving in the same direction as them. He'd never seen them before, but they very well could've been miner reinforcements.

And the entire time he'd be muttering the word '********' under his breath.

And they were gone again, tearing off to the base of the dam. Kalis didn't look back for the last two mages; but his thoughts were back there, with all the other people.

"Wars a bloody thing. In more than one sense..." he mumbled as they exited the forest.

The four vehicles burst through the woods, tearing through foliage and nature as they began to chase after their enemies. Hein began to look around, his eyes narrow and focused as he began to look for any signs of life. One of the men that he'd met earlier was in the forest as well. But more importantly, there were a few mages and the two he'd been pursuing earlier ahead of him.

"You three! There'll be mages about 30 meters ahead of us. Pursue them and kill them all. I'll continue pursuit of the three on the dirtbike. My reinforcement will be arriving as well. Sortie!"

Hein immediatly swerved left, moving away from the mages lest they see him as the remaining three mercs sped right at the group. As the enemies came into view, the 3 men raised their guns, the SMG's firing off short bursts of bullets at the winded targets.

On the other hand, Hein had begun to close in on the dirtbike. It was a stroke of luck that they were slowing down. And as he quickly ducked his head under a branch, Hein had decided that it would be a good idea if he did as well. Cutting the engine, Hein pulled out his recurve bow and quickly notched an arrow to it. Pulling back, he felt the familar tension on his fingers and smiled as he glared forward. They were clear as day with his Hawk Eye, he'd be able to see every hair on their neck if he had even cared. But that wasn't the point.

"I'm sorry...but this is war..."

Letting go of the shaft, Hein watched as it flew straight and true, the path that he had chosen being free of debris and branches as it thudded deep into the earth. They had managed to get free again. Without another word, Hein began moving towards the base of the Dam.

As Zen dove down into the forest he crashed landed onto a rather large tree branch in which he could see rather far from, Zen rested upon the branch, hoping to be in the rough enough to not be spotted while he recovered completely.

Shouyin frowned, taking the long way around the mages as they were shot at by the miners, assumedly kept busy. Breath getting a little heavier he reached the edge of the forest, following that one guy on the dirtbike out into the base of the dam.

Zen climbed down the tree after retracting his wings into his body, Zen snuck about the rough of the forest using a hovering bloob platform to ease about until he finally reached the entrance to the base of the dam, before entering Zen made sure to increase his bloods creation rate for battle.

Shouyin, Hein, and any NPCs would be able to catch up to the last two mages. The earth mage would trigger the spell he had been preparing; a spell to pull himself and his companion down into the safety of the earth. Unfortunately, it pulled the air mage down a second too late...the man was shot dead.

At this point, they could either dig up the earth mage and shoot him dead, or continue on their merry way without interference.
