"The last time I checked you weren't my mother...you're a...a...thing." He'd only ever met a lion cub before and he hadn't even asked it what it was. He'd just assumed it was a stumpy little cheetah with it's shorter legs. "So you don't need to feed me. Mother supplies that." He swished his tail and let it fall limp upon the ground again.
"Cute? I don't think it's a very suitable name then..." He sighed, "just figures I'd be given a name which is meaningless too. Maybe I should throw it away and not bother with one."
He sighed, "who needs an identity? Cos I don't."
He didn't reply to wanting to be alone, it seemed he was rather enjoying these depressing little conversations.

Zimwi arched a brow, it was horrible to say he was getting ticked of with the boy...but fact is...he was. He paused and just sat there, watching the two converse as his tail flopped back at forth. In a way the kid reminded him of himself when he was a kid, because he was quite a depressing little sod aswell. But that didn't last long like apparently this kid might.
"I'm not a 'thing', I'm a lion, your mom ever teach you that?"

"He was just being friendly, but if you're not hungry that's okay."
-She looked between the boys softly, not quite sure why the two were being so abrasive to each other, but when she answered, it was her usual cheery and opptimistic words.- "Ohhhh.. perhaps you're right. One doesn't really need a name to be something."
"It's more what they are and what they do. The jungle, even if you do not know it's true name still houses beauty.. and protects the young.. and supplies food and water for the many within it."
-Sighing a little whistfully, her tail twitch back and forth.- "All of that is far more important then the actual name."

"You're not a thing? Then you're a 'no'thing." The little cheetah flicked his ears and took a few steps back on gangly legs, his nose crinkling. "Just like me."
This was it, he'd had just about enough of this.
His head snapped around to regrd the pretty pink cheetah and for a moment he wasn't sure what to say. Goodbye might be a good idea, but he wasn't the polite sort and it didn't even cross his mind.
"The jungle isn't a place for cheetahs. You're as dull and stupid as my parents." And with a small snort he span on his heels and trotted off, ducking under some hanging vines before dissapearing amongst the flowers.

The male narrowed his eye's, watching as the cub suddenly disapeared before he snorted. Taking long, deep breath's the calm himself down.
It wasn't being called a 'nothing' that bothered him, he'd put with that crap for quite a while.
However, it was the fact that the younger male had called his friend 'dull' and 'stupid' that really got to him. Claw's scratching the ground for a moment as he lifted his paws before he took one more breath and sighed.
"I will never understand some kids."

-She frowned softly as the little cub left, looking apologetic as if somehow she'd offended him. But as Zimwi's irritation and discomfort sounded she turned her eyes and attention to him, smiling softly.- "Cubs without watchful parents often get into trouble."
"The fact that he thinks so poorly of his parents..." -She trailed, before finally lifting herself.- "Well.. I suppose it doesn't matter. Poor little Pekee"
-Limp/stepping a step back towards the falls, she motioned softly, attempting to drag his attention after her with a soft flick of her brightly hued tail.- "We might as well eat our dinner then. I'm still awfully hungry."

The lion glanced at her, a small, playful purr escaping him as he saw her tail twitch infront of his face before he followed after her, watching her as she walked/limped back to the cave. Making sure she didn't strain herself or hurt herself in the process.
"Alright Shairi." He said softly.
He then looked up at the sky before smiling at her.
"I'll go get us another piglet, besides, it looks like it's gonna be dark soon."
And he was certainly looking forward to that. The thought of the endless cascade of stars before thm with the soft rumble of the fall's made him purr slightly at the mental image. Before he moved and trotted off into the jungle to get more food for the 'show'.
