True, hey have you seen the new shows on adult swim of a metal band, the rythm guitarrist plays explorer, the lead plays Flying V and the bassist plays a Firebird bass. it's pretty tight.

You can sit down with the V.
You just have the lower 'spike' between your legs.
-You can shred sitiing or standing.
-The V isn't a poser guitar.

Nairu-river well, i like the firebird a lot. and i hate the flying v, u can't play with it sitting. but yea, it's ur choice blaugh dude, you just put the inner side of the v on one leg, like you would with any guitar.

Ive been liking Vs more and more lately, but I'm not sure I completely liek the style of the classic flying v. I'm much more into the Jackson RR series or King V.
I LOVE explorers, though.
And I cant stand firebirds... blegh. . . looks like gumby.

got to go with the originalls. gibson does it better.
if a guitar is copied, than the first brand that made that guitar does it the best.
i have a 13 year old fender, my friend has a brand new squire. mine fender is way better, and it is second hand.
gibson make better guitars than jackson and explorer.
ibanez, well if someone copyied the iceman, it would be s**t. so originals are better.

o.O' Sorry, I must have missed this post. Anyway, I went to school with an assload of metalheads who always claimed they could play and that they had flying V's or were getting flying V's. They claimed they were metal gods right up to the point that i put a guitar in their hand... So I am of the opinion that Flying V's are for posers.
