"Grandmother!" Jasiri'ka laughed suddenly as it dawned on him. He was alone for one moment, and before he knew it, he had what appeared to be a big family. Meeting them would surely be fun!
"And... Uncle, auntie?" He wondered if it will make them sound old. He chuckled happily to himself.

The orange adult smiled. "Yup. Though before I take you to meet them.. Maybe you want to come with me to visit a friend of mine? He lives far from here, and I don't think I should leave you alone while I go visit him. Unless you wanted to stay here while I went away for a bit... It might be weeks before I come back because of how far it is." He couldn't help but chuckle, partially to himself. "I'm not an adolescent anymore with all the energy in the world to go there and back within two or three days..."

Jasiri'ka hopped out of his father's embrace, landing clumsily on four paws. Musing over it for a while, he nodded happily, "Jasiri will go with father to see friend! Jasiri don't want to be alone here..." He added a soft whine at the back as he sat on the ground, tail swishing around.
"Jasiri can walk!" He added confidently, skipping to sit beside his father. It made him feel a little more grown-up seated beside Danzi, and the cub continued, "So Jasiri go with father."

Chuckling, the orange lion got up. "Arlight, then. Come on." He started walking, heading south towards the Kusini lands. It would involve crossing a river, but it would be worth it. Besides, Asi had kids, and Danzi wanted to show him that he had children of his own, as well. Even if it was just one. He went at a slow, steady pace, making sure that the cub could keep up. No sense in leaving him behind just walking, was there?

Jasiri'ka skipped after his father... Literally. He had a lot of energy in him, and can't wait too spend it all. Keeping up with his father the best his legs could carry him, Jasiri'ka walked next to his father. He had that growth-up feeling again, and looked up at Danzi's face.
"Father's friend have family too?"

Oh, LOTS of family! I heard on the winds that most of Asi's pride is, alas... His children and grandchildren." It made Danzi chuckle at such a thought. The Pridelands didn't have that kind of problem. Yet...

"How could he remember so many names?" Jasiri'ka asked, cocking his head to a side. He tried to imagine having the majority of a whole pride as your family, and blinked at that thought. "Jasiri would have a hard time remembering!"

Danzi shrugged, "I have no idea HOW he can keep track of them all. His oldest son lives in these lands, you know." Stepping carefully, he made sure the path was clear so that Jasiri'ka wouldn't harm himself walking. The cub was bubblier than he had been when Danzi himself was that small.

Jasiri'ka slowed down, he was wearing down. He didn't have enough endurance, but he wanted to finish this trip! His first trip with his father, so he couldn't give up. That would be letting himself and his father down! The cub sped up again, bouncing happily beside his father.
"Can Jasiri meet them? Oh, Jasiri wants to meet them!" He purred happily, "Are there cubs Jasiri's age? Jasiri wants to play!"

The adult chuckled, gently batting at the cub as he walked. "Of course. I don't know if there are any, though, or how many there are." As the dusk began to approach, Danzi looked about. "Although, no trip is made in a single day, so we best find somewhere to sleep. Do you want to help? You're much closer to the ground than I am and can find a nice den to sleep in while I keep guard!"

"Jasiri can help?" The orange cub stood shocked for a moment, before regaining his composure... Almost. He nodded quickly before he pawed the ground shyly, "What does Jasiri need to help with? How does Jasiri find a good den to rest in?"

"Of course! It must be big enough for you to fit in, unoccupied, well hidden from danger..." Scanning the ground, Danzi looked about for a suitable den for Jasiri'ka to sleep in.

Jasiri'ka looked around him, eyes scanning the area eagerly. He couldn't spot anything that even resembles a den, much less a safe one. His tail drooped as the cub gave a sigh, wondering if there even is a suitable den in the area.
It was then he spotted it. A small cave like structure, it looked big enough for Jasiri'ka to sleep in. It wasn't too well-hidden, but since it was nightfall, the cave seems suitable enough.
"Oh! Jasiri found one!" He purred happily, looking at the general direction of the cave. "Father! That cave okay?"

Padding over, the adult sniffed at the den. He was cautious, of course. He didn't want Jasiri'ka to get hurt or anything. But what scents he found were old, a sign that the owner was long gone. Turning back to the cub, he smiled and nodded. "This is a safe den to sleep in."

The orange cub leaped up and gave a small cheer, before speeding into the den. Padding around inside, Jasiri'ka rubbed his face with a front paw. Than it happened, just before the cub could rest his legs. He remembered that the last time he was in a den with a loved one, he had lost her.
What if it happened again?
He glanced at his father, and padded over quickly, sticking to him as close as possible. He kept looking at Danzi, making sure that he could his him. That way, there was no way that they could get separated!
