The young hunter moved silently, eyes and ears focused on his prey, nose twitching to search out the rabbit's burrow, judging which way it would run. As he moved, his maw parted, baring the fangs of a hunter, talons extending for soft paws. The rabbit, which had been occupied with cleaing its paws froze, and an instant before he knew of the predator, the hunter charged racing after his prey. For the small creature it was too late, and though it ran, the lion was upon it. There was a squeel as fangs sank into its neck, talons seizing it's hide, and then it was over. Carrying the prey in his jaws, Juhudi trotted back to where the lioness was waiting.

Avellano watched as the younger lion caught the rabbit with such ease. She cringed a little, remembering her own lack of skill in the department, but smiled at him warmly as he brought the rabbit back. "Are you sure that's enough for both of us Juhudi?" She inquired, looking at the rabbit and wondering if he meant it to be for both of them or just for her. She swished her tail and layed herself down, waiting to see what the pale colored male did. She felt like he might still be slightly uncomfortable, and really didn't want him to feel that way. Avellano wanted to feel motherly towards this younger lion, but he was no longer a cub, and that might freak him out even more. Maybe he needed an adult friend to help him get used to them? "Juhudi, I'd like to be your friend, if you'd like?" She offered, smiling kindly, "Maybe it can help you get used to being around adults?" She finished, perking her ears and smiling again, flicking her tail.

He set the rabbit at her side then took several steps away, settling onto his haunches a few feet away. "No, but it's enough for just you." He smiled lightly, tail flicking behind him, as if trying to say it was fine and that he wasn't hungry. It really hadn't been that long since his last meal and he wasn't really hungry, and if he had been, well he would have prefered to share a meal with the black cub who had been his closest friend since his arrival in these lands. "I think that just takes time, but I'm fine really, thanks for the offer though."

The white lioness smiled at him again. "Why thank you. You're so kind." She said, fluffing up her fur a bit then taking the rabbit in her jaws and dropping it on the ground directly in front of her, placing a paw on it and ripping at the fresh meat. It felt good to be eating again, but she was a little upset that he didnt' want to be friends. Avellano hadn't met any other lions here yet, and the first one she meets doesn't wanna be her friend? Sure it was upsetting, but it's not like she could do anything about it. She took another bite from the small creature, chewing carefully, so she wouldn't seem rude. Eating slowly was like torture for her right now, but she didn't want to just wolf it down.

It wasn't that Juhudi didn't want to be friends, in fact he had always been the friendly type, quickly forming new attachments and welcoming anyone who approached. But this time it just seemed...awkward and he wasn't sure what to think. Besides, the king had said that only he could find his own answers, right? Juhudi sat back on his haunches, tail flicking, paws shuffling in the dirt. He tried to smile, but something just felt wrong about sitting here watching the lioness eat, it felt uncomfortable and impolite. He sure wouldn't have liked to be watched while he ate. So he smiled and looked away, pale eyes scanning everything but the lioness and her meal. Idly his gaze drifted in the direction of the water hole, and he wondered where his friend Mosi was and what she was doing. Maybe he go find her and they could go for a swim or play tag.

Avellano felt kind of rude eating in front of the other lion, even if he had said that it was just for her. He didn't appear to want anything, but she still felt bad. She hadn't even caught it for herself, and here she was eating it right in front of him. She gave a small cough and stopped eating. Maybe she should leave? No, that would be rude too. Although he looked as though he didn't plan on staying too much longer anyways. But she couldn't just have him catch her something to eat and then leave.
She flicked her ears in confusion, cocking her head. "Juhudi. It was very kind of you to get food for me, but I feel bad for eating it here and now...." She said, trailing off. "If you don't wish to stay, you don't have to. Just so long as you know that I appreciate what you did for me very much, and I won't forget your kindness." She said, smiling and wondering if he would think she was trying to get rid of him. That wasn't at all what she was trying to do, but she felt bad for keeping him when he looked as though he'd rather be elsewhere.
"I'll be fine on my own if you'd like to go." She said, pretty much repeating her last statement. Shifting her weight, Avellano waited for his answer.

Juhudi fidgeted, pale eyes firmly fixed on his own paws as he dragged a talon through the earth. Well this was certainly awkward, though he hadn't meant for it to be. He hadn't meant for the lioness to feel bad, far from it. He just didn't know how to act or think around adults, and he had neglected to realize that he was fast becoming one himself. "Huh? No, it's fine, really. You don't have anything to feel bad about..." Though he still didn't like just sitting there while she ate. Really, what was he supposed to do? Just stare at her? He shook his head, ruffling his growing mane before standing to his paws. "Though I guess I should go, I think my friend is waiting for me and she'd probably be mad If I'm late."

The white lioness was slightly upset that he actually wanted to leave, but she completely understood. She flicked her tail and peered up at him, licking the blood from her lips and smiling as kindly as she could. "Well then, I guess it's goodbye, no?" She started, perking her ears and sitting up, curling her tail around her hind. "And again, thank you. Very much. I would starve if it wasn't for the kindness of others sometimes." Avellano said, closing her eyes for a moment and giving a small cough. "I'd hate to keep your friend waiting, don't worry about me." She said, smiling again, so he'd know she was serious. "It was a pleasure to meet you Juhudi." She smiled, giving him a little duck of her head and another kind smile.

The young lion felt a bit bad about just running off, but he did think Most was waiting for him and he didn't want to be late, that would have made him feel worse. He turned to look at the lioness, a kind smile on his maw. "Nah, I'm sure we'll see each other again. This is a good place to live, and there's always plenty of food, even if you can't hunt." He smiled at her reassuringly, almost like a parent would, odd for one his age, though he was no longer a child. "I gotta run now, bye!" He cheerfully waved over his shoulder at her as he turned and trotted off, paws taking him toward the water hole and hopefully toward where his young friend waited.
