I like so many characters, it's hard to pick just the one. I usually have a favorite character from each of the series/books I've read.
I loved Reepicheep in the Chronicles of Narnia (warrior mouse ^^ 3nodding ). Just about all the harpers in the Pern series (especially Robinton and Sebell). Silk in the Belgariad and Mellorian. Father Duncan in the Deryni series.
I can't pick which one I like the most out of them. They're all so great in different ways.

Well, if manga counts, my favorite character is Hinata Hyuuga from Naruto, if not, my favorite character is Saphira from Eragon and Eldest.

Choosing a favorite character is like chosing a favorite book...But, since I can't think of just one, I'll list a few.
Jamie and Claire Fraser [The Outlander Series] Kellen Tavadon [The Obsidian Trilogy] Andrew Wiggin (Ender) [Ender's Game]
There are more, of course, but I'll leave them off for now. ^^;;

I think my favourite character would have to be Grand Admiral Thrawn from Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy. Ok, so he works for the remnants of the evil galactic empire, but he's a brilliant strategist and a humane character.

I'd have to say The Fool from Robin Hobb's Tri-Trilogy.
Brilliant, comical, and deeply human--er...humanesque, the Fool portrays a man who knows his destiny, and willingly moves towards it, but manipulates the people he loves most dearly to achieve his own ends: that is, The end of Time.
Not the end of the world, but an end to mistakes. Where all things can be undone, even before they are done in the first place. It is hart to explain to people who haven't read the series, but, trust me--if ever there was a good guy, it was The Fool. -LD

My favourite book character has to be... darn it, what's his name. He's the son from the Abhorsen Tilogy, the one who is really good at making machines. I really like his character since he pushes the reluctant hero envelope just enough that he feels like a good character.
Favourite TV character is Colonel Jack O'Niel from Stargate, a close second is Dr. McKay from the Atlantis spin off, nothing like a crassy Canadian to know everything!
Favourite movie character is Katsumoto Moritsu from The Last Samurai, Ken Watanabe's performance just blows me away.
