She did almost bolt, her flanks twitching with the desire to do so, but she wouldnt. Not this time. "I dont need them. All they will do is use that to go behind your back and get what they want" Friends were only friends until they had gotten what they wanted.
".....Rogue." She didnt know why she had given him her name but once it was said she couldnt take it back.

"Chere don't need no one?" His brow raised slightly as he drew his leg back to him, shifting the water between them. It was getting cooler and the slight breeze had picked up into something a bit s tronger. "Ah keep dat in mind."
He turned slowly, making his way back towards the bank so that he could dry off. "Rogue... Dat your name? Or it what you are? Or a bit o' both?"

Picking her tail up out of the water she stepped onto the bank. "A bit of both, if you must know."
She suposed the name fit because she was. She didnt fit in anywhere and had always wandered. It was because she didnt need anyone, she just needed herself and room to run.

He ignored the comment about her name, tail flickering behind him as he moved along the shore. His head remained straight ahead, even if he had a desire to look back at her to guage her reaction to his next words. "If you don't need no one... Why you followin' Remy?"

"Who said i was following you." She snapped. She had just been getting out of the water, so what if she had done it near him. That didnt mean anything, it just ment she was tired of being wet and wanted to dry off.

"I wouldnt follow you if you were the last thing on the planet." She flicked her main and turned away from him. Who needed some cocky little thing like that?
She could find her own things to do, without anyone to get in her way.

His laughter would follow her as she turned away from him, continuing to trail after her even as he moved the opposite way. There was something about that mare... Something that he would figure out when they crossed paths again... And there was no doubt in his mind that they would.

Horrible stupid men the lot of them. She had seen a nice place to stop for a rest before she had gotten to the lake. She could return there and hopefully never run into the male again.
Luck was never on her side though. That was one fact that she always forgot as she travled.
