Astia twisted her head to look at Ru, returning the nuzzle. "The truth..?" God, this was so confusing and awkward.. she just wanted to sink into the dirt and never come up again. Talking about this.. Sure, Ru helped comfort her.. but right now it was a bit awkward, talking to Bairn with her there. Bliss, too helped alot, but it was a bit weird.. no, it was nice, how he had changed. He seemed a little less.. stupid. It would be hard to consider him that now. Sighing slightly, she turned to Bliss. Smiling, the mare nodded. Astia turned, again, to Bairn. "So.. you're afraid?" That wasn't too wierd, he was just afraid of a relationship.. right?
"What.." She paused for a second. "What are you afraid of, Bairn?" The mare asked, very quietly, and looked at Aruna, then, at Bairn. "So.. your going to run away instead of try? Bairn, it could work. It could! But if you ran away Bairn, if you avoided it you'll never know.. Bairn, I.." She sighed, and looked at Aruna and Bliss. This was about to get alot more awkward. "I do love you, Bairn.. " She said, very, very softly. "You just have to be brave. The reward Bairn, is.. well us.." Her dull eyes were gone, full of hope now.
"What.. what do you truly want, Bairn?" The mares voice was silky and quiet, and she quietly stepped up and nuzzled him, very lightly on the shoulder, before stepping back.

"We're all silly, and idiotic, once in our lives, dearest ones," she said, nodding encouragement to her brother and friends. "But my loves, there's always that second chance... where you can try again, and the second time, you know yourself better... you've gained knowledge." Her eyes clouded over in thought. "Take it from me. I've been so stupid the past few months, it seems like it was only yesterday all those trials and tragedies happened in the blink of an eye... but no. They did not. And you see me now, proudly standing here... with a smile upon my face." Her smile widened, one not too often seen, even within family. "Sometimes taking a risk is good, other times, bad... But it's not always that way. Taking chances is good for you... whether or not you want it."
