If Cloud didn't have Aerith to emo about, he'd probably find something else to emo about, like Zack or Sephiroth or something. It's as if the boy likes to angst (or is secretly holding an angsting contest with Vincent behind the scenes).
As for the Gameshark cheat, Aerith can definitely level up to level up to level ninety nine. However, there is no ingame cheat that will allow you to get her back in ANY version of the game. Even then, there are some scenes where, if she is in your party, your game will freeze, because a character is supposed to say something that isn't generically used amongst the other characters.

Tao Bromley why couldnt she be brought back with a phoenix down? gonk crying cry I don't really care for Aeris, so I could care if she's dead but anyway, that'd be stupid. Aeris's death was like....DRAMA! Bang! Boom! DRAMA!....Sorry, lol. But yeah, if people could be brought back with Pheonix Down, no one would die and the planet would be over populated.

Aeris cant be brought back from the dead, because she ACTUALLY died... in Battles you ar KO'd, not killed...since she was stabbed through the chest outside of a battle, she actually dies... i mean really! can any of you possible tell me you can survive a sword thrusting through your back and out your chest with the momentum Sephiroth had during that drop!?

Aerith couldn't be brought back by a Phoenix Down anymore than Nanaki's father could be brought back by Soft. There are some aspects that have to be acceptable losses for the story to continue. Sometimes - such as those situations - the lack of reasoning is laughable, but it's those things that do make you think. 3nodding

StrawberrieIceCream RosesShadow dianersj whats the difference between dead and K.O? Dead: Body is not active. All living cells within the body aren't able to function anymore. Blood isn't able to pump anymore. K.O.: Knocked-out. Unconscious. Able to wake up after a time. Aerith had Masamune through her. There wasn't any blood flow out of the body because of the legend of Masamune and Murasme. (A.K.A: It doesn't make a mess with things....to put it simply) She wasn't knocked out. Not attacked to the point where physical exhaustion would kick in or whatnot. Going over to Cloud who managed to survive being impaled by Masamune. It went through his stomach. With Aerith it went through her heart. So.....I don't think a Phoenix Down can repair an organ pretty vital in keeping the other organs alive if it's already been destroyed.....Ah.... sweatdrop Heh. I can't quite remember how it actually went. It's been awhile. sweatdrop Tao Bromley there wasn't any blood? remember when shinra died BLOOD EVERYWHERE! Jenova was around for that, correct? And that was quite a mess....
