||Hmmph, and I was about to join this RP too. Well, if you're just going to give up on it, forget it.||

((Listen carefully, if it's not beyond your obviously limited mental capacity. If you're going to grab for attention in a Guild, than do it elsewhere. It might not be my place to say, but if you're going to post something like this, go to the store and throw a tantrum at the equivalent situation:
You've been thinking about buying one of those new "brains," but when you finally decide to, the store stops carrying them. Is that that the store's fault? No, it's your fault for not going earlier. Don't falsely blame us to get recognition.))

||A store has no responsibility to keep items stocked. Someone who creates a roleplay has an obligation to stay committed to it. Simple.||

(( you know, I see nothing wrong with your objections. Go ahead, call me a quitter, but I have the common sense to know when something won't succeed. This roleplay has been started upwards of ten times and has not gotten past the recruitment stages once. I can take a hint. This roleplay wasn't meant to be.
So I'm letting it die, finally, so that I can move on and create something better.
Besides, this would make a better novel anyway =P ))

((You know, you DO have a point there...
Pyrin, why not leave someone else in charge of it? What's the harm in leaving it open until someone joins? It's bound to happen once the Ibis gets up-and-running.))

(( why not? Well, because I'm extremely possessive of my work, for one, and because I can't possibly hand this off to anyone else and expect them to understand the many implications I had for this roleplay. The plot twists, themes, and general... changes... are so many that I have trouble keeping track of them myself. This roleplay is the biproducy of two years of literate roleplaying, and I can't very well just offer that over to someone else.
I'd be more comfortable just letting it finally rest.
meow. I'm going to put this in the dead threads section tonight, so you'll still be able to get the profile for your character, Sormani. Notice I'm not deleting it. Just removing it from the active roleplays. If I deem the Ibis ready for it later, I may bring it back.
=) Maybe I'll have better luck with the 11th time starting this roleplay x0
Anyway. Nyar. Say buh-bye to teh Long War x) 3 ))

Too bad I was gone from Gaia for the first half of this year, otherwise I would have loved to join this story.
If ever you decide to give this scenario another chance, then let me know! The only problem I have with it, to be bluntly honest, was Sormani's near-butchering of the plot with his character developement.
Regardless, I am very impressed with the planning and structuring of your world and how the plot was set up for a potentially great role-playing experience, and ask that you let me know of any other stories you may have in motion at the moment.

(( xD lol, I don't think he butchered the plot. He just... added another element to it is all u.u;
Anywho. Jush. Of course I'll let you know. It so happens that I have (0) active roleplays on gaia at the moment, therefore (0) of them are worth your time xD
Although if I have any more greatish ideas, the Ibis will be the first place it comes to =)
Oh... >> meow. I was going to start a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy roleplays, but it died before it even got to the boards. So yeh. That one will be going to the trash can soon too -shrug-
There's something wrong with Gaia these days. -tilts head- most wouldn't recognize a good roleplay if it bit them in the behind. ))

It's too bad, as I was really excited about the idea of that other story becoming an RP world. It would have been great..
Maybe try it in a more active forum next time. The Crimson Ibis is the first and only literate role-playing guild I had heard of until I searched for more a couple of days ago, and there're actually a few fairly active ones.
One forum, appropriately named 'The Literate Role-Playing Guild', has almost it's whole first page filled with current-day replies. I think I'm going to start role-playing there soon. I just got accepted in to the guild last night - you have to submit an example of your role-playing or writing before admittance - and I'm busy tonight, but I may check it out tomorrow night.
