healerweaver For the catnip-- it will attract *all* cats in your neighborhood. It's basically the 'crack/grass' of the species. A friend found the best way to be able to grow catnip and have cats at the same time is to completely cage the plant (top, bottom, and sides). The cats will eat what grows out of the cage, but you will still have the actual plant and what stays in the cage for your own use. He used chicken wire and thoroughly stacked it down so the cats couldn't knock the cage over. With cats, also remember that ivys of any sort are poisonous to them. ~sigh, I love ivy.~ The Pagan Plant Nursery... does it have a website? I don't care about how long it would take to ship from New Zealand, if they have what I'm looking for. xd Yeah- Caging it really might be the best idea then. It'll add interest to the garden too. ^_^ As for the plant nursery...
Earth Magicks 30 Haig Avenue, Mt Roskill, Auckland (New Zealand) Phone (09) 620 9949 (Note: I have NO idea what the code for New Zealand is! :gonk) Website: Everywhere says it's www.earthmagicks.com , but I don't think it is... Description: A supplier of 'living magickal herbs' and perennials for the Auckland Region. All plants are carefully hand raised and are priced lower than you would find in ordinary garden shops.
I suppose you could try phoning? I don't know... o_O Or post them a letter? O_o

Oh! Yes! I had forgotten about Aloe Vera! I think I'll probably put it in a pot, rather than in my garden, but yes, I do want to plant some. ^_^ Thanks for the site!

Please oh please watch out for Valerian Root. It is a root that is used for relaxation, but it is very dangerous. It can make you too relaxed and it can be come addictive. I am not sure where you can plant it, but please find out all its propreties before you use it for anything at all. Chamomile is much better for relaxation and it is not dangerous to you or animals.

Ah. Thanks: it's not a mistake I would have wanted to make. Probably one of the reasons why the shop went "out of buisness"..

Teehee... My gran is the one with the green thumbs in the family and we have all sorts of stuff growing in the garden. Lavender, mint, sage etc. Unfortunately I'm not very interested (I'd get kicked out of the garden even if I was. Another province in my gran's kingdom...) and I only know of those three because I like mind tea and sage tea... and I adore the smell of lavender. smile

Are you making your garden outside or in a green house thing?
