No, I tend to destroy most books I read. I love them to death. biggrin

I don't tend to go to the library because both my local and my school's libraries are terribly under stocked. My sister is a librarian though so when new books, the few that there are, come in, she gets them for me.

I practically live in one. It's so much easier and cheaper than buying.

I prefer owning books, to be honest. I know I can always buy books after reading them, but whenever I get anything from the library I always have the feeling that I have a time limit - well, I do - and because the book isn't mine, I have to be extra-careful with it.

I like most books, and the chances are that if the blurb sounds interesting and then buy it, I'll enjoy it anyway.

I love going to the library, even though it smells at times and gets rather dusty. It's a great place to sample music for free, as well as movies. I just wish it wasn't so out of the way from where I live. Heck, I'd love to work in one if the NYPL system wasn't doing so poorly financially. The one nearest to my workplace had to cut down on their hours because of it, so it's difficult for me to make it there before closing time after my hours.

Ah, my home away from home. I just got to college so I don't know how great the selection at the college library is, but sadly I have a feeling it won't be wonderful. Hope springs eternal though. Before college the public library had a decent selection, but not fantastic. If the library has a book I really want to read then I probably will try to get it from there and then buy it if I loved it. I try not to check out too many books at a time because of a time limit, but sometimes I can't help myself. For once, I'd like to go to a really big rich library. Before college I lived in a small town so some of the books were falling apart and they didn't get very many new ones. Although if I wanted one I could have asked for it. But not many other people would have read them so I never did. My high school library had a decent selection because my friends & I were on great terms with the librarian. There, I knew other people would like the books (some at least) so when she asked if I wanted any books I would tell her. Plus she let me look through the new books before they were put on shelves.

I've never really been a fan of the library. Those overdue charges get me everytime! If I borrow a book, I always feel rushed to finish it, and then I somehow manage to not finish it, and then I return it late. I prefer owning them- less hassle sweatdrop .

As often as I can get there. My mom works in the same building as the library is in, so whenever I go to her work I can go to the library during breaks! heart It's great.

Have to thank them for all those speechbooks they have in stock. xd

It helps alot when I don't know if I like a book.(plus it have added new tutles to my "Yearly reading"-list.)

I like borders more, there you can sample the book, and then buy it if you like it enough. But I sometimes go to the Library.

Actually.... I'm a bit guilty, in terms of "borrowing" a book from the library...

I heart my new school's library. Well-funded public school. SOOO much bigger than my old school's library, cramped into a 50 year old class room.....

I work at a library, so I get to check out all the books I want for free. I live out of town, so if I didn't work there, I'd have to pay a lot just for the library card which would be sad. But now I'm happy. 3nodding

It gets to the point that I need to limit myself on how many books I check out. I could get six and only manage to read one or two of them. It's a bad habit so I limit myself to two books at the most for now.

I always take books out of the library. There are just so many books in there that I never would have noticed otherwise, and, when I like a book that I take out enough, I tend to find it in a bookstore and buy it.

The library has gotten me started on many a series of books or authors. It's just a shame that my library tends to have, for some reason, "books one and three" only. That sort of sense. It also likes to not have many of the books that I want to read...
