I don't know. I'm being confused. gonk

The explanation didn't sound like the French 'r' to me, but I may have been interpreting it wrong.

Transliteration reforms!

Ĥ > X
R > Q
Ď > J
Y > Ÿ
J > Y
Æ > Ä

I think it's more æsthetic now. sweatdrop
I've also taken up writing Ŋ as "NH" when I'm too lazy to go get Ŋ in Microsoft Weird.

Mmmhm. Have to fix the spelling again. The new one is driving me nuts.

The special R is back to its original spelling again. J is still the /j/ sound. And Y has, again, lost its accent marks.

I've taken up writing it in a modified Cyrillic. The pronunciation has been reformed as well! ;D

Sorry for taking so long to get the text up.

I found myself completely unable to translate the Babel text without making God sound like a villain in a bad fantasy novel who talks to himself. xD

All the stuff he says has the tone of "Argh! If they can communicate with each other, they could foil my evil schemes!"

At any rate, I lost the piece of paper on which I'd written the text for it, so I took a while to get this up because I was looking for the dratted thing.

But here it is. The quality of the recording isn't great because I was half asleep at the time, but here it is.

Quote:
I na ejþnat kokwendja inaš estja.

I qej lim ditja, "ko gonganam estamjot i prilbrinjot." I lam u lir ja, i sa kiteþnom-lišaš lim cecja.

But isn't crazy-land where all the Aquenninim and other Aquénandi speakers live?
PostPosted: Sun May 13, 2007 7:28 am

Uh, "Aquenninim" MEANS Aquenandi speakers. You don't have to be a Lisfiri to be an Aquennini. mad D
The name of the people is "Lisfirim."

eek

A very vivid dream in Aquénandi. I was in the little Lisfir village in the northern Mazdrivonian mountain range. I was with Risla Amakhendir (there's a note about her in the Concultures forum). She was rather surprised that I knew so much about the world, being just a normal person. mad D
She didn't believe me that I'd created the world. She thought I was rather off my rocker. Fortunately, among the Lisfirim, off one's rocker is the norm. sweatdrop

But I woke up and said "la ši tatprajkkwetje" immediately - it means "I remember it." Now I feel weird.

Have any tips? I would really love to have fluency in Niora, but its not like I can just watch Niori movies or listen to Niori music, which is what helps me immensly in German...

Try keeping a journal. Journals are great for learning any language. Talking to oneself works well too.

Four and a half years.
